Prince is the only artist that I love and idolise so much that I’m so jealous and hate him for it because god gave him his talent and mine too.😉 seriously, I love the man. People like Mozart, Prince and James Blunt don’t come around very often.
@@cocopops4974 the comparison was literally a joke. I thought people would know I wasn’t serious and why I’m jealous, because Prince had everything(ability) in abundance. Probably the greatest musical mind since Mozart. I unfortunately cannot say that about myself but I’ve got my thing that i do and I’m happy but it’d be great to be world class on Piano, Drums, guitar, bass, production, fashion and business.
I remember hearing some rehearsals from the 1999 tour and he was rehearsing some stuff from the Around the world in a day!! I'm not saying you're wrong, but he probably had some stuff for Purple Rain. Matter of fact, Albert Blinn, the producer of Purple Rain, said he wanted music for the lead song for the soundtrack. Prince came back the next day with 200 songs complete!! Did he write them that night? I doubt it. But make no mistake, Prince was the most prolific song writer ever!!!

I can't bear honestly watching this. It's a damn shame and completely inconceivable that he died the way he did. His first album came out in 1977. I remember walking into a local record store yes we had records then, and I saw his album. The only reason why I bought the album was because we resembled each other. Basically light skin with a fro. Once I heard him I never stopped listening to him. Over the years I had an opportunity to see him Open for Rick James . Then many years later on his tour the 1999 tour. Also had an opportunity to meet him with some friends in the VIP section of a club called the Ritz when he came to our city. Him and the whole damn band including Chick ( Chick Huntsberry RIP) the huge biker looking bodyguard were there. He sat right beside me. ( Thanks Liz The DJ who told me to make sure I come to the club that night after the show) of course I was in shock along with my girlfriend at the time. I never ever stopped listening to him following him and collecting his music I'm sorry but he should not be dead. This modern-day Mozart did not have to go out that way. I loved that man we all did. He truly was the soundtrack to all of our lives. I guess I should have known by the way you parked your car sideways that it wouldn't last... I was working part-time at the five-and-dime my boss was Mr McGee... Sometimes it snows in April...Etc etc etc. I will forever be angry and sad that no one around him stood up and stood in the gap for him when he couldn't stand for himself. He should still be here there's so much more he could have done even perhaps opening a music school for kids all types of things. Can you imagine him walking into one of your classes in the middle of a Piano lesson. I remember the interviews with artists and performers and people who talked to him over the years. Especially after he began to actually open up and really talk to people. But they would always ask him stupid questions and fawn all over him. Man it's like having Bruce Lee sit down with you and you could ask him, how the hell did you do that. Can you imagine sitting down with Prince and asking him when you write music do you write on guitar or write on piano and where did Purple Rain come from how did you come up with that. Can you imagine asking him wait a minute how did you get excellent on piano and guitar too !??? that's almost impossible it takes so much time just to learn one how did you do this? Can you imagine and asking him how he practiced getting some advice from the master on what kind of time he put in what did he like the best. Can you imagine talking to him and him telling the stories of how he created so much beautiful music where did these ideas come from what is your process ?..can you imagine sitting at his feet and saying dude how did you do this. Btw... You know something else , other artists of great esteem and position gave him mad props whenever he showed up. The commonly heard thing was...." HE'S HERE".... That "HE" was always Prince. All I want to say is it sucks that he went out like this it sucks that all we have are these videos and memories. This New generation has no idea no idea of how incredible he was. This new generation Can't even begin to understand his brilliance. I just wish somebody would have loved him enough to stand. I just wish somebody when they realized what he was doing would have loved him enough to push him to seek help I just wish somebody would have loved him enough that when he collapsed on that plane and they couldn't revive them until they hit the tarmac in Moline Illinois, I wish somebody would have loved him enough to pull whatever strings necessary to stay in the hospital. Screw we can't find a private room, draw the curtains sign in under Alexander Nevermind and get help. No we'll just stand around and let this continue ....and then he dies because of fentanyl. How many videos and pictures have we seen of him pacing around Walmart while somebody inside was getting drugs for him. Everyone in his camp knew there was a problem and by the time they really tried it was done. As much as I loved him I will say this he bears personal responsibility he made these choices he effed up. But damn it I cannot tell you how many people I've had in my life who were close to me as blood and I fought for them and fought with them to get them clean. They weren't known the world over they didn't affect millions they were just people in my life friends over the years who I encountered in bad situations they always called me because they knew I was strong and I'd be there and I was. I'm nobody special, I'm just a dude who's strong and I'll fight and have fought the gates of hell for a friend when they're bound by this scourge. Prince could have gotten the best medical treatment in the world. One of the greatest most respected centers for drug treatment and drug rehab is in Minneapolis. But sometimes people wrapped up in their own mystique and importance believe themselves to be invulnerable and don't seek out the help when they should immediately. And unfortunately people around them do nothing they just stand by and watch the destruction. How many stars have we read and heard about over the years who went through similar things and people stood by and did nothing. I wish the hell he had never started going in this direction whether it was because of pain because of his hip or whatever it was. He made a choice and he continued that path. He once famously said right before he passed away "don't waste your prayers on me yet" Those that loved him and were close to him should have been praying for him long,long ago but also should have been on his back in his face fighting for him, when he refused to fight for himself. I don't care if they were concerned about getting fired. I don't care, this man did not have to go out like this. If only there was someone in his camp who gave a damn gave a damn enough to stand in the gap for him. I've done it we've all done it at times We walk through the valley of the shadow of death with our friends to bring them to the other side. I don't have money I'm just a dude who gives a damn. Ill always love you, little Skipper, Mr Nelson like a brother. But I will always be angry at you for starting this mess in the first place. Always be angry at you for I'm sure hiding how bad it had gotten for you. I don't want to hear nothing from anyone saying it was his time or God took him . NO!!!! he made choices however I just wish people around him would have grabbed him up held him loved him fought with him fought for him and struggled and not give up not gave up until they got him through... All of those here I want you to look up a song that not too many people know but you need to hear and you need to listen to ... It's called " Free " It's on his fifth album 1999. I'm so sick of people who tell me or speak this nonsense it was a person's time when that person died because of drug use. This wasn't the first time he messed up he had to get his stomach pumped years ago because he had OD'd on another medication Percocet he was taking for pain.. Look at all the things he was doing to himself before it led up to his death. Did you see the film of him walking into the back entrance of a doctors office in Minneapolis to get more drugs. That same doctor was charged for illegally writing prescriptions that he knew were not going to the person he intended them for but they were going to Prince. He died because of an accidental overdose of fentanyl. His heart didn't suddenly just stop he didn't just suddenly die for no reason He was rushed to the hospital during his piano and microphone tour in Atlanta GA he almost died on an airplane they couldn't revive him they had to drop the plane onto a tarmac in Moline Illinois and the paramedics had to rush the plane and administer narcan to save his life. He had opiates in his system then!!! it was not his time this had nothing to do with so-called his time, this was due to stupidity ignorance and drug addiction. Did you know that the doctors told him do not leave the hospital. The night he was rushed there after they revived him on the plane. They decided to leave because they couldn't find a private room they could have put him in a room with another patient drawn the curtains and put him in under a different name an anonymous name to save his life but no because of arrogance and the whole Star treatment bullshit he left the hospital the next day. I guess it was Elvis's time too I guess it was River Phoenix's time too, I guess it was John Belushi's time as well, Heath ledger yeah he died too I guess it was his time How many celebrities have died because they were taking drugs and stupid people sit around and say oh it was God's will or it was their time NO!!! it wasn't their time they simply made a choice and that choice killed them. I don't give a damn what you think about my opinions but at least open your eyes to the the facts and realize it's not about someone's time it's about choices made . Poor choices which put people in a bad situation and if they don't stop they will die... You don't have a right to your own facts based upon some stupid perception. Read the coroner's report he died because of fentanyl ingestion it was an accidental overdose he had no business taking this shit. We lost a great great musician a person who impacted millions because of his gift and genius. Any one of us should be angry because fentanyl shouldn't be here in the first place and it has killed so many people... Over 50,000 people have died because of opiate overdose specifically fentanyl since 2017 And the numbers are riding... Oh but I'm sorry I guess they all died because it was their time too.. @@chiko1354 yes I absolutely agree. I don’t understand when people say that about these other people when what happened to them could’ve been prevented, and they would still be here. It’s a real shame because like you’ve stated in your messages, there was so much this man could’ve done to change his untimely outcome. He should still be here, inspiring the younger generations.
May have had it written already,or may have come up with the idea for the song at that moment . Prince said he would get an idea for a song in the middle of writing another song .
