The Prince of Wales joined HM The Queen in the Royal Carriage for Day 2 of Royal Ascot, on the day where the Group 1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes takes centre stage. Lord Lloyd Webber and Princess Eugenie also featured in the Royal Procession on Wednesday.

I'm interested in growing a bit of grass for under my feet in the A.M. Where does the lime come in? As a top dressing? Like that expression "Limed up". Thanks if you answer. Ascot reminds me of the Derby in the USA . The queen actually went to Kentucky to learn about the importance of Science in their diet. Like to find who it whose farm she went to. @theresawinchester3834 I think The Duchess of Gloucester is a brilliant member of the BRF and The Duke as well. Duty is their name and they seem to work tirelessly! She is actually Danish, born in Denmark as Birgitte Eva van Deurs Henriksen in 1946. She and Prince Richard married in 1972 and have enjoyed a long and happy marriage. I think they still make a striking couple and she is still a beautiful woman. Sorry this was so long ~ I have a great affection for her!

I imagine Princess Catherine is a little sad to miss this event as she and William seem to enjoy the festivities so much as a couple but I'm thankful she had the wisdom not to push herself unnecessarily. This is a great outing for the family to enjoy. I love that it is a tribute to the Queen without being work oriented. This reminds the world that Queen Elizabeth II was a true Queen in both birth and attitude. Her son has continued with her policies and is continuing the very British activities of tea parties, horse competitions and benefactors of the arts and sciences. I love the hats.😊 Favorite at Ascot is the blue hat of the Duchess of Gloucester.

what utter rubbish there is no tribute to our late Queen and our King is not continuing her "policies" King George IV began the tradition of the Carriage Drive to Royal Ascot, Garden Parties began in the 1860s, and Monarchs supporters of the arts and science and the royal windsor horse show is not organised by the royal family and began in 1943. King George VI was the first patron various companies hold their events at Great Windsor and our late Queen was not born to be Queen her father became King because his brother abdicated and so he became next in line

Same here. It's very clear to see that Camilla has a strong bond and affection with William, Catherine and their three adorable children. William and Camilla are relaxed in their relationship as they both appreciate that each of them are focused on the future of the Family and they both love Charles - in their respective roles of son and of wife. I think he is savvy enough to KNOW how much these traditions mean to the people of the UK, and [less importantly] to people beyond the 'realms & Commonwealth'. The late Queen taught him WELL. Also consider the financial loss of even JUST Ascot, were it to lose 'the Royal element' ? Just another [more or less rainy] race meeting amongst hundreds of others - no 'social kudos', no 'see & be seen'. ln no time at all it would be a shadow of what it once was, and people would simply drift away..

Every woman married to a king as long as we have had a royal family has been called Queen. Many if them were consorts, which merely denotes that she is not the monarch because that is a rank. Henry Viii had six wives, all of them called Queen, the Queen mother was a consort yet that was never ever applied to her.

Camilla is very much Queen Camilla as she is supporting her husband, the Regnant, the Reigning Monarch - King Charles III. Queen Camilla understands her position as the Queen to the King, in the same way that Prince Philip understood his position next to his wife, the Regnant, the Resigning Monarch Queen Elizabeth II. In time, when William is King - he may choose to use his first name and as such be known as King William V or since Philip is one of his birth names, he might decide to be crowned as King Philip as a memory to his GrandPa. Whatever Regnant name William uses, his wife will support him, as Queen Catherine. ❤🎉 🇦🇺
