I got to admit, it's refreshing to see William interacting and being close with his son, similar to how his own mother Diana was with him, inatead of (no offense) being distant and not showing too much affection like his father and grandmother
Prince Charles was actually quite a caring and affectionate father. When the boys were younger, he made sure his royal engagement were short enough so he could come and spend time with them and be there for bed time. He did hug and embrace them. That Charles wasn't a caring father is simply not true.
