While nothing will ever top the original animation, I wanted to do a video of the live action story of Zuko. I love the additions to his backstory and Dallas Liu portrayed him perfectly.
Footage is from Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024).

One of my favorite scenes in the show is the one between Aang and Zuko when they’re hiding from soldiers. I liked how for a moment Aang and Zuko got along, shared their similarities, and even shared a bit of a laugh. It was a chance for Zuko to see Aang as a person rather than just an objective.

This is absolutely amazing ❤️ Zuko was definitely one of my favourite parts of the live action series (or well, both series -- I love him!), and you captured his story so well here. This is a fantastic tribute to him!

THIS IS SO GOOD SUNNY, AAAHHHHH! 😭❤️ Zuko absolutely killed it... and his character arc in the live action actually added a few things I am obsessed with that even improved on the original story, which I wouldn't have thought possible. Making his "weakness" be his compassion just breaks my heart, but it also sets up his story so well! I'm going to be watching this on repeat for some time. 🥹

Respect for the actor! Great adaptation! My only critics is that they could have give “evil angsty” Zuko more screentime! Like in the animation we only know his past later in season 1 (last few ep - blue demon) but in this adaptation he is getting soft and we start to meet his past since ep 2 it would been better if just they show this only from ep 6-7

Nicely done! I loved how they expanded on the story! Also I was thinking about making a Aang tribute but I think I'll leave these kind of edits to the professionals who does multimedia edits.

They added so much to the Zuko character. In the animated version, he's an immatured, incompetent individual who grown into a slightly less immatured and more competent individual. In this version, he is matured, highly capable but is misguided by the harsh way of his culture. In this version, he truly seems like a second very important protagonist, not the antagonist.

All the other characters had a set destiny they won't deviate ever. Zuko was different, he fights through his own path, corrects and improves himself for the better good. That makes him the most interesting and therefore my favorite.

Admito que tenia mis dudas cuando castearon a Dallas como Zuko pero me alegra decir que me equivoque completamente, él al ser un verdadero artista marcial pudo hacer todas las escenas de pelea de Zuko para que estas se vieran naturales y sin cortes. Fue como ver a zuko salir de la animación al mundo real, además del gran trabajo teatral de su pasado, dudas, compasión y otros conflictos 😢

This whole story line (and also pretty EVERY interaction with Zuko and Iron with Aang) was A tier. Loved it. How did they drop the ball so badly on Team Avatar? Almost seems like two different writers!? Very odd. Really hope it gets a season 2.
