@Gavin Robb, She's Cousin both to the Queen and the Late Prince Philip. She's a Royal princess and stood in for Her Majesty on several occasions and often accompanied The Queen. They are very close so I'm sure Her Majesty wants to make her life a bit easier at her age. Now if you'd mentioned the other 2.....

If she is undertaking official duties she gets a police escort. Royal event timings are very very specific and timed to the minute. It's considered very rude to your hosts if you are late.

@@wildebeeste i think that Prince Harry and his wife had their reasons....... it's not easy to always put up a very happy face even when people are asking you things that can hurt you because if you lose your cool, you know that you are watched everytime that you are out of you home....... and to be honest, even a little thing like an affair outside marriage that we would just take for granted when it is done by a commoner like us, actually becomes public so quickly if done by a royal or any celebrity ..... so it must have been hard for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to deal with....... remember what happened between the Prince William and Prince Harry's parents...... it's like living in a constant hell! where you are always hounded by the media, being asked questions......I am not a royal but i think that I am glad that i am not! even if i did think that it was amazing if i was born in a royal family as a child.......... but now i am a grown woman, i have respect for the royals just as much as i respect any tough person who has seen a hard life.......... even the police, medics and the fire fighters..........no one turns their backs on their family or country unless they have a very good reason!
