i loved it when trump was over and the queen gave anne a head nudge as to say "come over here to talk to him" but anne just stood there and heald out her hands and im sure she said witb her lips "bothered?" she wasnt going over there 😂
She is certainly her father’s daughter. Similar senses of humour and a simple “just get on with it” approach. She’s also very intelligent and charming.
He tried to trip her up with what could have been quite personal and embarrassing questions. However, she answered each question with humour, wit and charm. She ended up completely disarming him, and dismantled his ‘polite barbs’ wonderfully. Fascinating interview. Thank you for posting .
Wogan is something else. A brilliant interviewer. Charming, humerous, respectful, intelligent but able to ask very pointed questions e.g. Chancellor of Universities when she hadn't attended university herself lol, in a very unassuming and polite but humerous manner. With someone less skilled it could come across as a common dig, but not so he. She's hilarious. No nonsense and down to earth. Really funny.
When I met with her in 1988/89, the immediate thing, that struck me, was that he’s so much more attractive in person, than photos or film, photographs never flattered Princess Anne
I don't think so. The actress who plays her sounds too clipped. Anne here sounds much more rough and ready. She sounds like a very Lancastrian Victoria Wood playing one of her over-achieving Head Girl characters.
@@lisalovemc717 she really doesn't. Listen again. The lady playing Anne, whilst a charismatic actress given the role, is playing a very stilted version of Anne - a caricature, who speaks through the tiniest of openings in her mouth, like it is imagined someone of her breeding does. Anne is much, much, much less careful in her way of speaking. Also, you can unfortunately hear the actresses cockney roots coming through when she formulates certain words, and it is obviously a constant effort for her to maintain this form of RP. This is not how Anne speaks at all, and although reserved by modern standards, she is not a glum and emotionless drone, as portrayed, but simply a no nonsense, get on with it sort.
What a wonderful persona she puts across! Not the least bit stuck-up. Polite, well-mannered, respectful, and amusing. Everything a well-rounded individual should be. Respect to Princess Anne!
I love the Princess Royal so much! I often wonder if she knows just how loved she actually is? How many of us look up to her immensely? She really got the best from both her parents!
Never been a "royal kinda bloke" but I've always liked Anne you just know she'd be a good laugh with a gin n tonic in hand 🤣 Condolences to her on the loss of the Queen. Long live the king 🤴🏻 🇬🇧
Not in to royalty in any way but I do have an admiration for princess Anne in the way she has carried herself in life, who can forget her appearance on a question of sport A classic.
I have been an admirer of the Princess Royal for decades. She carries out her many duties with no fuss and doesn't expect thanks or praise. She is a mixture of her late Mother and her beloved Father. I think her brother the King has a great supporter.
At the middle of my life, and discovering Princess Anne for the first time. You can instantly sense the brilliance and charm of this royal. She was truly ahead of her time, a gifted communicator with an enormous heart, sense of duty and love of country. The younger royals should take a page from her successful management of public and private life.
Princessa Anna, to bardzo odważna kobieta. Nie tylko w życiu, ale też w jej wypowiedziach. To wysoka klasa, inteligentnej Pani. Podoba mi się zachowanie i wypowiedzi, takiej odważnej i wysoko urodzonej Pani.
My experience with the Princess, in 1989 whilst working at Argyle Diamonds in Perth Western Australia, I was told I’d been selected to spend “4 minutes” with the Princess Royal for a “chat” I was told to refer to her as Ma’am in this instance. Of course I fucked up, and said hello your Royal highness 🫣 !! Princess Anne put me at ease instantly, I’ll never forget how quickly she made me feel like an old friend,. After the allotted 4 minutes, her lady in waiting and bodyguards got bored and wandered off, and we ( The Princess Royal and I) actually spent 35 minutes alone in my diamond cutting room to just chat ! She pulled up a chair and we just talked, about everything… she asked me about the differences were between living in England, South Africa and Australia ? We spoke a lot about this question, because she was clearly interested in my answer. She was absolutely amazing ! I felt like a teenager at a Beatles concert 🤷🏼♂️❤️
I met hrh in2003 when she visited our engineering project in Cambodia. Super lady, well informed of what we were doing. The ambassador told us later that she really enjoyed the visit as we were a bunch of interesting chaps with no flannel.
I see alot of Queen Mary in her too and, alot of her Mother in her smile. None the less, I do think under the tough exterior is a very loving and caring person. I've always felt that with her. You can see it in her eyes. I think she's had to be tough just to survive and make a way for herself. I think we forget alot that she really had to fight and carve out a role for herself in the Royal family that in the end would really mean something. She's done that with hard work and sheer determination to succeed. I respect that. I think in the beginning she was over looked, underestimated, limited and probably ignored alot growing in Prince Charles Shadow. That alone would make anyone rebel and fight back. For that I think she's been misunderstood for a long time. Anne looks soooo pretty here. And, that's without alot of fuss and makeup. She has the most beautiful smile....... She's still my favorite Royal.
It's always seemed like to me that people forget that the Royal family are actually human beings with thoughts, emotions, feelings and their own personalities. And they mostly seem to forget that they're a family and they love each other.
Smart. personable, witty, honest, polite and appears genuine, the press have dug for the dirt, failed and practically ignore anything she does which is usually a good cause or supportive, the kind of upper class lady you'd want to take tea with just to listen to her adventures :) The royal family seem to take her for granted, they are going to regret that .
I have never really heard or seen her speak before I watched The Crown and was wondering what the actress was doing. Now that I watch more and more of Princess Anne, I think the actress nailed the way she talks.
I've not seen the Crown. Is it true what I've heard, that they omitted to include Princess Anne winning the European equestrian eventing championship in 1971 and how she faced down a would-be kidnapper a few years later? If so, they missed a couple of tricks in illustrating what a gifted and gutsy person she is.
Fascinating woman in 1985 and very much so still today. She has lived an exemplary life...much like her mother the Queen. Anne herself would have made an excellent monarch for the UK.
Ann is the image of her Mother, well said Anne all of it. Some of the questions got a bit awkward but see how she just pulled it back, great sense of humour. As an Aussie I'm not a royalist or monarchy type but if I had to have one as we do these are the guy's I would want lol.
She's beautiful, beautiful hair, beautiful face, lovely skin quality, she has that aristocratic look , she's cool, put in the work , and is witty,it would of been interesting if she were the ruler the queen .
