Princess Anne's Promiscuous Past 

Promiscuous is such a a judgmental word. She was a young woman of the 60s and 70s, getting on with living her life.

7 boyfriends in 70 years. This is not a scandal.

So what if Anne had several romances and why is promiscuous used primarily for women and not for men. Anne’s worldliness has made her the well rounded, sharp, and dedicated Princess Royal she is. If we looked into some of Anne male relatives, they’ve probably had twice as many romances then she did.

Promiscuous? Give me a break. Ann was like her dad, bold and in charge of her life.

At 10:29 it mentioned a 12 year age gap between Richard Meade and :Princess Anne and Prince Phillip strongly objected to them getting married - SO WHY didn't Prince Phillip object to the 13 year age difference between Lady Diana who was 17 when she met Charles? Makes zero sense!

Poor Mark Phillips looked so uncomfortable in their engagement interviews. The way Anne looks at him seems to indicate she was besotted with him. Too bad it didn't work out.

Anne's marriage to Tim Lawrence seems stable. She is in her seventies. Seven relationships over seven decades is hardly remarkable. She dated some very handsome men. Andrew Parker Bowles was quite the womanizer. Despite all the talk about the love affair between Charles and Camilla, Camilla was very much love with Parker-Bowles. She considered it quite a coup to beat out the competition and "catch" Parker Bowles. When Parker-Bowles began to philander, Camilla turned to Prince Charles for comfort.

Times back then were very different - before legal birth control and terminations. Certain diseases were rampant, so men were not looking for a high-risk spouse to mother their children. But looking at her behavior through current moral standards, she was actually rather puritanical. She was simply test driving her candidates. Good for her.

Oh please. Leave Anne alone. Why are you doing this?

Why did you feel it necessary to take a slam at Anne at this time? She is by all accounts the hardest working members of the RF. Was this necessary. She is a 70ish year old lady. With all the work she has and does for the people of the UK was this necessary?

To be short she was a normal girl growing up.

She couldn’t care less how she looks. She has clothes over 30 yrs old she wears. Her dear mother NEVER changed her hair style either. But, she is the hardest working royal! But, damn, think how great she would look with a total makeover! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

HRH Princess Royal seems to be a slippery one. She kept her mouth shut, did what she wanted and didn't try to court the media. I admire that. But for the love of God, she needs an asymmetrical cut Bob stacked in the back. That long hair ages the hell out of her and she's rather beautiful.

I like the way she handles herself. Her children seem to be well adjusted adults, too. Someone I know actually knows her and says she enjoys and likes men and does not enjoy women or have close friendships with women. Her hair looked much nicer highlighted. Princess Anne (& for that matter, the rest of that family) is a hypocrite. When her cousin Prince William of Gloucester was dating a woman named Zsuzsi Starkloff in the late 60's until his death in '72 in an airplane crash, she made a special trip to Japan to see him & tell him he may as well end their relationship because he could never marry her (she was a model, divorced w/ a young child). There are several really good documentaries about Prince William & Zsuzsi here on YT. They loved each other dearly & the story is quite heartbreaking. I was disgusted w/ Anne's meddling in their relationship considering her own track record in marriage & divorce.

Anne was a party girl who lived life as she wanted. Than look down her nose at others like she better. She's always been jealous of other beautiful women and treated them badly.

I read that Queen Elizabeth gave Andrew Boyles an ultimatum: he had to make a decision between Camila and Princess Anne and that he better choose Camilla and so he did. Camilla had it easy. THAT'S for sure. Camilla withherhorse face could never have gotten the womanizer Andrew Bowles on her own. I think they used the word promiscuous as clickbait but also because we think of princess Anne is the iron maiden, almost like a soldier in war or the Joan of Arc of England but yet she was a very romantic, sexual woman it would appear and had flings before & during her marriage to her first husband. THAT is very typical of the aristocracy which is something Princess Diana never really understood or accepted. Of course, Princess Diana was a teenager and Princess Anne was much older. People made quite a few reflections on Princess Anne vis-a-vis Prince Harry but there's no comparison because she always did her duty and Prince Henry did NOT after marriage do his duty as is abundantly obvious. PEOPLE say she was beautiful, I guess each to his own. SHE had a big nose which I've noticed a lot of aristocrats had until Princess Kate came along who actually has a boxer's nose even after the nose job she had done prior to her wedding-- sort of flat and broad and short-- but it seems like most aristocrats have these big noses. Also, Princess Anne had an overbite which actually makes me think of our Appalachian folk who can't afford braces. But each to his own.

So interesting that given her own rebellious attitude around love and relationships…she is not more understanding regarding Prince Harry and Meghan💫

Around 9:00 is a Richard Meade who bears a striking resemblance to Captain James Hewlitt, Princess Diana's riding instructor and boyfriend. BTW - NOTHING about Anne was remotely "promiscuous" it was Princess Margaret who was a hard core party girl, heavy drinker, did drugs and during her disastrous marriage to sex addict Lord Snowden Margaret slept with a revolving door of lovers. Frankly, I think Princess Margrarets sadistic rotten husband DROVE her to have affairs - I always felt Margaret was doomed and miserable most of her adult life.

Anne’s divorce from mark Phillips was more scandalous than it needed to be. They were pressured by the royal family to maintain a facade that fooled no one until they became embarrassing. Then the queen and her advisers had to stop the bleed. The British taxpayers were not going to support an international punch line and the royal family can be referended out. This could have been avoided if Anne and mark had been able to make their own decisions years earlier. Once they were no longer forced to maintain a loveless marriage they got on rather well. They cooperated for the sake of the children and got on with their own lives. Unfortunately the delay cost Anne and Tim children. He was a younger bachelor who would have liked children of his own. By the time they were free to marry she was 40 years old and she never became pregnant. The same mistakes were made with the micromanaging and mismanaging of princess Margaret’s marriage and prince Charles. Their subsequent divorces were much more scandalous than they needed to be. They were only settled after they became international punch lines. In one of the few honorable things he ever did, prince Andrew put his foot down and insisted on negotiating his own separation and subsequent relationship with Sarah Ferguson. Perhaps if he had been more mature during the marriage they’d still be together and he’d have lead a different life. Hopefully someone like prince William and those who advise him will finally get in the same century as their subjects and learn from the mistakes of the past

Watching this I feel like Richard Meade was the one who got away. She broke up with him, because her father didn't approve of the 12 year age gap.

Anne is truly a wonderful member of the royal family, working graciously and sacrificially for England. Like her mom, she never explains, never complains. The term “promiscuous” is mean and false.

She was looking for someone similar to her father. It’s very clear. Not all her father’s characteristics. But the out doors her and her father loved hunting, horses, sports, military. Good for her. She had a great youth. Now she plays it so straight. However irreverent and more fashionable, if you will, that she was, now she's buttoned up and channeling her older mother. A very serious woman, and a bit dry and stuffy. People change over years. Of course I think she has an eye over her odd and egoic older brother. Ah, what a messy quadrangle it was. The one who lost out on all the shenanigans, was poor Diana. Hearing all this, turns me off to these supposed blue bloods.

The Press has always been happy to give Anne a free ride, because she is not photogenic and her face did not sell newspapers. So they largely ignored her - they had Diana to harass instead, poor woman. Incidentally, Mark Philips’ accidental child in New Zealand was known about by the public, at least in New Zealand, long before she was seven, as this film claims. It’s a great pity her half brother and half sister have never been allowed to meet her. The Windsors are an icy lot.
