The Princess was accompanied by her parents and sister, King Felipe, Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofía of Spain.

Leonor’s military training will last for three years as she spends a year each with Spain's army, navy and air force at their respective academies: one year at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, the second year at the Naval School of Marín, in Pontevedra, and the third year at the General Academy of Air and Space in San Javier.
