my high school band played this just three days ago in our annual concert, although the intonation and cleanliness are still not as good as this band right here...but it still sound freaking EPIC as hell!!!! especially at 7:47-7:52, I think we nailed that part, it just sound so good!!!! LOL! I've been dreaming to play this piece since I saw this video a year ago. Much love from Malaysia!
This arrangement is so wonderful, the concert band im in is working on this at the minute and the Oboe solos are so sweet. The keychange at 5:26 brings me so much joy, as well as hearing the whole saxophone section get to show off a bit, chills and smiles all round 💛
why can nobody name the arranger? I can only find the arrangement of Kazuhiro Morita which is really nice do not misunderstand me, but this one here is so much better. I would love to play it someday.
haha i love this piece xD My school band played it about a few months ago, now we are focusing on SYF, but that piece was glorious xD and lol...I played the French Horn so i naturally had to play the solo.. haha lol the oboe is amazing here!!
Hi, I am interested in playing/ purchasing this song for my local school's wind ensemble concert.. Would you by any chance be able to tell me where this particular piece is available? I've searched all over but unfortunately have not been able to locate this particular version but only variations of it composed by Kazhurio Morita. Please let me know, at your earliest convenience !
This arrangement is amazing along with the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra who is always amazing. This recording is superb! Does anyone know where to get sheet music for this?
I agree. The oboe player sends chill down my spine and brings me to a place of complete tranquility and past life, a world so pure it has no suffering, only happiness, peace and serenity.
In the Princess Mononoke Soundtrack it is called the Tatara Women Work Song. The theme appears a number of times throughout the soundtrack. :) It's a great movie with a beautiful score!
