No, that's tomboyish. Don't apply doublethink. Most of her transformations here are UNIFORMS, and for men, that's not remotely feminine. Feminine virtue is to be centered, and that's something that shouldn't be attributed as "positive masculinity" just because sometimes men do it: going out of their way of the typical masculine virtue of dispatching into adventure, like saving private Ryan. That ol' DAMSEL. Being able to sit still and not make things worse is something men have to learn from femininity. And that can't happen if every side of the coin you just credit the fundamentals to toxic or positive masculinity and leave nothing to be "feminine" except superficial DRESS-UP.
@@JustinGrant-jf5gv Indeed, she was so rude at times to Mario and I felt she was a bit too strong at times in the movie, it was pretty woke honestly. Thank God Nintendo stepped in and stopped Lumination from letting them doing more damage to Peach and the movie as a whole than they already did. I don't mind Peach not being rescued all the time I like that she can defend herself and even fight sometimes, but she still needs to be rescued/helped/assisted sometimes, and she should've been much nicer to Mario in the movie. Here's hoping they tone her back closer to her nicer character in the sequel.
What I love is that peach is becoming more active and getting more spotlight and she still keeps her feminine traits. That’s one thing I adore about peach she can still be a cool character while still being girly.
How they did all of this within a year is still pretty crazy to me. I don't think Peach getting kidnapped is a bad thing, but it's nice to see the tables turn as she'll be assisting Mario or going on her own adventure with some Toads. There are plenty of interesting things you can do with a Peach that's able to hold her own, and it looks like they're taking advantage of that already. Granted, two of the games announced are remasters/remakes, but these seem to be games were Peach was given more spotlight than just getting kidnapped again. I'd like to see where they take Peach from here! 😄
It IS a bad thing a VERY bad thing. She is always banded as a damsel even tho shes been playable since 1988 on occasion and has been playable in about 20 to 30 non sports games in the past nearly 40 years but nobody every takes the time to notice cos of the tired trope of her kidnappings so I'm thankful they are throwing that away and I hope peach can be a princess bubblegum type where shes a mage or a main character from the sides that gives u special stuff or like with showtime have her on her own games
@Star050 Fans been wanting peach playable in mario games outside of sports games for years. Nintendo has been stuck in there ways for years to give the fans what they been asking for.
I’ve seen a lot of peach fans worrying that she’ll eventually go back to being a damsel in distress again, and as a huge peach fan myself, I don’t really share that fear. I think if they portray her right in the situation, show her trying to fight back, maybe have sections like the thousand year door where she’s playable and trying to escape, then her being a damsel would be fine! I’m excited to see this new era of peach cuz it was a long time coming
Actually I fear her going too far towards the extreme opposite direction of damsel in distress: The "I'm a strong woman who don't need no man" woke feminist direction honestly. I'm honestly okay with her not needing to be rescued all the time, fighting for herself, having adventures on her own, all that that I'm okay with. What I'm not okay with is that she just can't be too strong to the point of being unstoppable, she is able to overcome everything she faces, and she loses her feminine beauty and kind nature along the way. That's what I'm afraid of what she'll become in this modern day ideo-socialogical driven world.
@@INFERNO95 I certainly hope you're right. But America has influenced Japan in the past. Some for the better, but now it might be for the worst if left unchecked.
@@kinghyperheart1571 bringing "oh no....woke....i hope glorious nihon isnt corrupted by woke western values" politics into a conversation about princess peach is really weird
I realized that with her becoming a more capable character, going forward, Peach being kidnapped will mean a lot more since you're basically ambushing a powerful opponent.
I didn't like how Peach was portrayed in the Mario movie at all and I'm so happy they are keeping her old personality intact, but giving her the center of the stage. I especially love how she is portrayed in Mario RPG and the Paper Mario franchise, especially in both the original Paper Mario and its sequel The Thousand Year Door. In those games she is kidnapped sure, but is able to help Mario in his quest to save her, her people and the world by sending him infromation where he needs to go to next and what the enemy is up to. Sneaking behind her kidnappers while being kidnapped, pretty impressive am I right! She doesn't always need to in the frontlines, but when she does, she does it with elegance rather than yell and throw punch of karate kicks. She is able to even forgive those who have hurt her the most and is willing to sacrifice herself for others. I've always loved Peach because of these values and her personality. Femininity is a strenght, not a weakness. Embrace it.
@@david_cool427YT bro think about mario he barely has a dialogue in his games for example mario and luigi paper mario even the main line ones and spin offs
I remember that I was ten years old when I got Super Princess Peach, and I was super obsessed with the soundtracks and the vibes of the whole game, and also how Peach was the heroine, and the fact that Peach has another game after all these years is incredible! I hope Nintendo makes more games with Peach as the main character in the future, along with making Daisy another playable character, because she also deserves appreciation.
Man, I feel like princess Peach is getting more popular in. game And of course, she also did well in the Mario movie. Am I can't wait to play as princess peach in this newest game? That she's in end also Mario RPG.
I love how Peach is getting more recognition on how much character she really has than just being the damsel in distress! The Mario Movie really shows her personality and how she is brave and tough as ever and I love how they’re implying that into these upcoming Mario games!💖
I've been thinking a lot lately about this topic too, and I definitely believe that this is the path that Peach is being taken. Going forward, I think she'll be portrayed in a similar manner to Zelda or Amy Rose, in the sense that she'll probably will be a damsel in distress from time to time, but it won't be the focus of her character. And even if she is kidnapped, they might do some twist with it, like in the movie. I'm really excited for her new game and the new direction for her character.
The new era is gonna be a great one! And I love that in this new era Peach will finally be able to show how capable and talented and strong she is. Her new game is gonna be super incredible!! I can’t wait!
Yesss Peach isn't "becoming" this, she has always been like this! They just didn't incorporate it enough in the games! She's a really cool and really strong character who can show who's boss while keeping her essence!
I think the thing with Peach is we do see bits of her growth over the mainline games. 3D world intro shows Peach is the first one to go and try to help the little fairies from Bowser. She even stands up to Mario and Bowser at the end of Odyssey
My opinion on the matter as a long time Princess Peach fan: She's not changing, she isn't becoming a new character, she's "becoming" who she has ALWAYS been, they're finally incorporating who Princess Peach has ALWAYS been in the games! I was one of the few who researched everything about Peach, she was always my main in anything she's playable, and because of that i could see the potential in her that people who are not interested in her coupd not see. I know of almost all the times she was a badass and i know she IS a badass because of that! She's such a powerful character in the Mario universe, even with her limitations, and Nintendo failed to actually portray that on her even if they showed it to us a couple of times. Everyone talks about the time when Daisy slapped Bowser into the sky in that ONE mario party game (mp3, was my favourite), but you don't see as many people repeating about the time when Peach literally threw Bowser across the room or even through the ceilinh of the castle with her magic powers cause he was interrupting her meeting! Or about when she beat Bowser in her own game and rescued everyone! People seem to forget or not ever even notice that the reason why Bowser captures Princess Peach to then take the Mushroom Kingdom is because SHE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE THE KINGDOM, she's the one who has the power! And people fail to ever see that just as much as Nintendo fails to portray that. I love Mario games and i'm thankful to Miyamoto for this amazing franchise, but he ended up being waaaay too stubborn on making things way too simple to the point that it damages the narrative and the characters. Capturing Peach should REALLY be a hard task for Bowser or anyone else, she's basically a sorceress! She's girly but she's also courageous and smart, she's not stupid! But miyamoto insisted for so many years on "oh Peach likes cake so let's just show some cake to her and trap her"... like??? Wtf is that?! Miyamoto really ended up holding the development of these characters back by trying to make thinga stay the same forever, and that's coming from someone who LOVES when things keep their essence, but i think there's a limit there and trying to keep the essence stops and becomes trying to keep things always exactly the same, and that's not good for characters or a creative world. Anyway, they're finally showing who Peach has always been ever since the Super Mario super show! A magic Princess who is not only girly but also smart, courageous, empathetic and adventurous!
It serms like everyone has forgotten about Super Princess Peach for the DS where she is the main character of her own game and went on an adventure like Mario and Luigi does all the time.
I'm so glad Peach is finally getting to shine, and I'm also _really_ hoping this means we'll see more Daisy too, seeing as Wonder is basically her first mainline Mario appearance since Super Mario Land.
@@redram6080 Super Mario Run is NOT a mainline game... Its a mobile ap that plays like an auto runner. Its no more a mainline game than Mario Kart Tour.
@@lasercraft32 Except it's not like any other typical mobile autorunner at all really, and is basically just a 1 to 1 New Super Mario Bros. game but where the D-pad inputs are handled for you, that's it. It's way more like a standard 2D Mario game than it is like other mobile autorunners, having all the same polished 2D Mario physics, mechanics, formula, etc. Not to mention that, not only was it developed by the NSMB dev team, it was a game that Miyamoto himself was very personally involved in, he was more directly involved with Mario Run than pretty much any other Mario game in the past decade or more. With that amidst other reasons, I think it's fair for someone to consider it a mainline game, especially since Nintendo themselves sometimes seem to consider it one. Not to mention it doesn't have typical mobile-gamey stuff like microtransactions and premium currencies and all, it's priced in a manner more like a standard console game and is structured like a typical arcade-y platformer like other 2D Mario games, just on a smaller scale, retaining the purity and polish of other mainline Mario releases. And the notion that the platformer game that Mario's own creator was most directly involved in in a long time can't be considered mainline seems a bit odd to me, but maybe that's just me, to each their own. But there's definitely enough reasons for someone to count it as mainline.
Peach as a playable character has been a thing since 1988 and on and off shes been an active member of the party sometimes having a more determined and hard headed character than mario also her being playable in about 20 odd non sports games HOWEVER Its always been overshadowed by her kidnappings bcs of it being such a BAD tie in with the character making her seems useless when in reality its the lazy writing that made that happen not an incompetence of the character her in the mario movie was just a slight boost of the things shes already done in the past the DIFFERENCE in that situation is that shes less overtly feminine which can be perceived good or bad. But i do haft to disagree i hope shes NOT kidnapped in the next 3D mario it would be the final nail to hammer in that she is NOT just a damsel
I loved her characterization in Smash Bros. Melee (although i know it’s not rly “cannon”), and that version of her influenced my idea of her very early on. I feel like ive never seen her as fully a damsel in distress so i’m happy they’re starting to push that idea more broadly
It honestly hurts seeing people actually take offense to the idea of Peach having more urgency and being more badass. Cause sadly we still live in a time where interesting female badasses are shunned.
Peach doesn't need to have more urgency or be "more badass", that's not better than female characters being silly girly bimbos, and the idea that it is better sucks
Peach has been playable on-and-off since SMB2. I don’t really see it as a “new era” for Peach, it’s just always been apart of her character. The only new thing the movie did for her was change her personality too far from the games IMO, and I’m glad the games are thankfully ignoring it. It’s good that Peach is both active, and still remaining traditionally girly and feminine as she’s always been.
I gotta disagree. Even if she has been on-and-off playable, its FAR more off than on. The only times where she is consistently playable is spinoff titles.
@@SONICSTA I suppose I can see your point. But even when she isn't playable, she does tend to accomplish things. The RPGs, 3D Land, and other games as well. I'm still excited for all of Peach's new roles. I've always been a huge fan of hers.
Nice shorter intro by the way. I definitely think Peach's adventurous side has been long needed and deserved considering she is one of the seven star children, all of which have had games now aside from Bowser. And while she starred in Super Princess Peach, the game portrayed Peach's heroism as the exception instead of the status quo and was over-all a very sexist portrayal.
Interesting take, although I don’t think sexist is the right term. I’d say stereotypical might be the best way to describe it considering its a trope thats been around since the dawn of time.
Even if she does get kidnapped in the future i want more moments like in 3D Land and the first two PM games where she fights back. Badass Peach has been a thing off and on since the 90s, and i wanna see more of it. And to any "anti-woke" shitheads that cant stand a girl standing toe to toe with the koopa king, as Suris the Skeptic said back before the Mario Movie released, Peach is as strong as the rest of the main crew, maybe stronger as she has "wish power" in the rpgs, she only gets kidnapped because Bowser is canonically stronger than her *and* the Bros.
I really hope this because successful enough to turn it into a franchise for peach I mean look at it Mario got whimsical platforming Luigi has "survival horror"puzzle solving Wario had platformer and now micro mini games Yoshi got Yoshi's island franchise Even Captain Toad got his own puzzle platforming game So something like theater plays or theater shows in general could be Peach thing you know.
princess peach should go under some kind of character development just like amy rose. imo peach should become more of a fighter and not just be a damsel in distress
I definitely think that princesses peach is definitely going to be changing in Super Mario Wonder. I don’t think Princesses Peach getting kidnapped is a problem. I definitely think that Princesses Peach character in Super Mario Wonder is going to be such a better character in Super Mario Wonder. Super Mario Wonder I definitely think that Princesses Peach is character Is going to be great. Great video My Dude)
I am supper excited for this new era of Mario as it trully feels different. So much things could change how we all view the Mario franchise for both new and old fans. Charles Martinet felt like the last piece of the puzzle and while it is trully sad I really am digging the new mario VA. I am hoping that in the future we get fully voiced mario lines in mario games as I really would love to see more dialogue as that helps the charcters more of a personality.
I...would still prefer to keep Charles, don't really see why a new era of Mario would require a new VA, it's just the voice of the character which is still the exact same character, especially since the current VA is still trying to replicate the same voice. But that's if the VA were replaced specifically for the sake of a "new era," which isn't necessarily the reason Charles stepped down, so idk.
@@legoboy7107 yeah I would agree it is quite unfortunate and sad 😢 thought Nintendo is clearly changing the formulae. I kinda wish they shared to us reasons as too why Charles Martinet stepped down. It just feels like the series is changing in a positive way and directing itself an a different direction so there clearly changing lots of stuff.
not necessarily. What I’m talking about is that Peach has stuck with Mario in a couple of his adventures, and she even had her own game as the main character. Zelda on the other hand whenever she does help, it would be at the end of the game @INFERNO95
@inferno so, I’m also counting whenever they helped in combat even if it’s only at the end of the game. I know a good 70% of Zelda games, but if I’m missing something let me know - Ocarina if time - spirit tracks - Four swords adventures - Wind waker - Twilight Princess - breath of the wild - tears of the kingdom I got 7 games, and I’ll count the two Hyrule warriors games making it 9 Now for Peach we have - super Mario world - Mario bros 2 - paper Mario the thousand year door - Mario and Luigi partners in time - super paper Mario - super Mario 3D world - super Mario rpg - super Mario bros wonder - Yoshi island ds - Paper Mario 64 - Mario + Rabbids kingdom battle - Mario + Rabbids sparks of hope - her two solo games That’s 14 games, and those aren’t even counting all those party games where she technically also helped save the day.
If Princess Peach:Showtime! has good sells I'm sure they are gonna remake "Super Princess Peach" and the next remaster gonna be Super Paper Mario, the 2 most important Peach games.
If they make a game where she gets kidnap it better be like paper Mario, where we can at least play with her or see her perspective more. But for mainline Mario games keep her as a main character.
Thank god they aren’t changing her personality to match the movie’s. Sure I think it was necessary for the movie, but it felt so Girlboss TM (I’m speaking about the way she acted, not she being capable of defending herself and doing stuff). I’m excited for the new Peach
She's not less girly , she's less passive and powerless. Two traits that were used to prop up main males to pander to the male audience. Resulting in the term "girl boss" being divisive simply because main males were boring. Girls are STILL associated with emotional fragility to this day.
I HOPE they're changing her, since it looked a lot like she was finally going to be useful back in 2013, but then they went back to making her useless again in Paper Jam, Color Splash and Odyssey.
It always annoyed me when Peach got kidnapped yet again and does absolutely nothing while its going on. Because she truly has proved that she CAN fight on her own and go on these adventures. It eventually led to me thinking that she just calls Bowser the night before the kidnapping because she's bored of being a princess or something. I'm glad shes actually DOING something now in these newer adventures.
That would explain a lot…..also I think she just likes getting kidnapped at this point Edit: also I just looked this up it looks like she’s been kidnapped 30 times I’m not joking up to Luigi‘s Mansion 3 she has been kidnapped 30 times😂
I'm definitely gonna get the remake Mario RPG's that are coming out. Never played PMTYD, currently playing the OG Mario RPG on SNES Classic, I can't wait to get Princess Peach show time. I'm glad Peach is getting more attention and being more playable in the recent Nintendo games.
I'd honestly hope that Peach doesn't get kidnapped again, at least without showing that she can't fight those kidnapping her. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story showcases her magic in a similar manner to Super Mario RPG, and yet she still gets kidnapped, not only inside of Bowser's body, but also by Fawful. I dunno, if Mario and Bowser can move on from Peach being a love interest, Bowser can focus on evil plans that don't involve kidnapping Peach. She's never been integral outside of wanting to marry her since the very first Mario game, after all.
@@SONICSTA Exactly! Another good example, at least at first, would be Bowser's Inside Story. He still wants Peach for himself, but he initially shows up unwelcomed to discuss the Blorb concerns, and outside of his ongoing fight against Fawful, that Blorb concern is what incites both Mario (and Luigi) vs Bowser battles in the game.
1:37 In an interview miyamoto said the peach that’s in the movie is the peach he has always wanted her to be in the games since day one He just never had the opportunity to really do that until now he couldn’t before because of simplicity as a game introduction cuz it was easy to understand
I love that nintendo is doing this, im so tired of people hating on the movie Peach bc shes a baddie, its like they just want her to be weak, movie Peach deserves the same love game Peach has, how can you love Peach but hate on the movie one like are you even a fan, even if you dont like it theres no need to hate on her i personally love how mario looks in the games but i dont hate on the movie mario just bc he doesnt look exactly to the game mario in fact he looks adorable in both ways
I hope princess Peach never gets kidnapped again cuz I'm tired of going to save her.😂 She is so much better when she is a heroine. You can take any other plot and make a good Mario adventure out of it now anyway.
Funny how when daisy was portrayed as a brave heroine who wasn’t afraid of anything she was pushed to the side then after all these years of “damsel peach” she is suddenly portrayed as this “brave heroine” and everyone is screaming and giving her all the attention because she’s out of that stereotypical D-I- D role but really and truly daisy has been a heroine this whole time but Nintendo left her out and gave her nothing. Nintendo better be giving daisy the spotlight now because it’s just been unfair for her since the start
@@SONICSTA finally someone who gets me. daisy has always been that brave heroine fearless and is not afraid to fight anyone to protect her subjects and friends but yet Nintendo still pushed her to the side for years and kept peaxh in the spotlight just because if daisy was in the mainlines she would’ve outshined peach by far as she doesn’t fit the stereotypical princess role unlike peach. And since Nintendo werent the ones who created daisy either 1. It would look Embarrasing if a dead guys creation created more fans than your creation and 2. They didn’t want to take peach off the main spotlight as the head female of Nintendo
Really Niceville Nintendo is definitely changing peach they’re changing themselves even I mean we’re going to remakes of games that felt impossible annoyed that with all the rumors and stuff about their next consuls seems like we’re in a new Nintendo. Thanks for the video and everyone have a amazing year and God bless you all.
What I expected: Super Princess Peach 2 What I got: Basically a Barbie Game Plotline for Princess Peach's Second Major Title. No Vibe-Rod in sight. Eh. I'm okay with this.
I think Nintendo just wants to make more games based more on their supporting characters. Imagine if Bowser and other Nintendo villains have their own games. If you can play as the antagonists in Super Smash Bros, who's to say you can't play as the villains in their own game? I would suggest that more of Marvel and DC comic books tell more stories through the perspective of the villains and not the heroes
I don’t think they’ll completely drop peach being kidnapped it’ll still happen in the bigger titles like the next 3D Marios but it’ll be less frequent and often for sure
I'm a little scared I feel they might change her way too much and I don't like that. I don't trust Nintendo when they break away from tradition. They can do a great job but I don't know how this will change Peach's character and it might be negative. An example of this is odyssey, They were going to have Mario and Peach get married but scrapped that idea because it would complicate the games so they made peach an sassy bitch and was going to leave Mario stranded on the moon. Moments when they change someone's character to this degree doesn't go well and I'll prove that Peach rejecting Mario on odyssey made no sense for her character (Other than her obviously liking Mario Peach's classic mode photo was her getting married to Mario and in the Manga she dreamed of marrying Mario as well as all the promotions showed they were gonna get married but as a business decision changed this for the games sake. They made Peach someone who just traveled the world and rejected Mario even though her wanting to get married is something she's been wanting to do with Mario through this evidence but scrapped that whole part of her character. It may have just been for odyssey but it was drastic for the character of Peach In that game. Nintendo is just so dumb sometimes 🤦♂️ I think it could be beneficial if they stay to Peach's original character which not many people understand because everyone has diluted her character and has made assumptions and the only one who sees her as a damsel in distress are all these people who don't understand and not actually people who understand her character. It could totally be beneficial but only if it complements her original character. Not change it entirely and if they do change it entirely or even mostly it will be pretty negative to her character. I hope that's not the case but I don't even know anymore. Nintendo always fumbles the bag and I think might fumble her character as well sadly. But that's just what I think, I hope this isn't a bad sign but it might be no matter the possibility. I just wish Nintendo made changes but stuck to their original character but Nintendo just might change it. I'm honestly not too happy to see this but if these are just my superstitions then I'm glad. I loved Super Princess Peach and I hope they play this out like that game.
It Nintendo fault for being stuck in there ways. They give more attention to the male cast while ignoring the females cast that when they do something whit the females it comes off as a shock to everyone. Look how they acted when daisy made the smash bros roster over waluigi? The net throw a fit. As of late they been treating the females cast better over the years and hopefully it turns out well for everyone characters and fans of the Mario girls.
@@INFERNO95 Bro, just stop 🤦♂️ I get what you're saying but you're turning business decisions into some sort of anti women thing. This is a video game company, stop trying to make it political.
I gotta disagree, when Nintendo breaks away from tradition they often times do their best. Consoles like the Wii are a perfect example of this. In my opinion of all of the prominent gaming companies, Nintendo always tends to be the trend setting. I believe that what they are doing with Peach will work very well.
@@SONICSTA Yeah, I hope that's the case 😞 It's just a bad feeling. I'm just talking about how they might change her up in the games to stray away from her normal character cause they can do that to git the plots in plenty of games if it doesn't fit and that scares me but the best thing I can do is believe they won't do that. But honestly I hope you're right and thanks for the feedback 🙏
Dead ass went into this thinking you'd incel all over the place. I wholeheartedly agree with this take. I mean Peach could kick ass before the Mario movie! It's only now that it's mainstream and that's awesome. Also I just think Peach is hot
@@SONICSTA She's been kicking ass in the manga, the M&L games, she dominated the ultimate scene for a while, and like you said beat up some of the toughest bosses in her first standalone. I'm happy to see her in the spotlight again
More playable Peach, and her own game where she gets to take on various roles is something I think most can get behind, and something I am very much looking forward to.. However, now I am uncertain of that, as I did not find the movie "Peach" very likeable or endearing, and I am against combining the two. The move makes sense from a marketing standpoint, it makes sense from a political standpoint, but not from a character standpoint. And if there is one thing that's been apparent in all form of media in the last couple years, it's that well known characters are getting changes, alterations, and "adaptations" and that is not necessarily a good thing. People like longtime characters for the traits they have and have had. I think Nintendo should have left the movie-verse and the game-verse as two different entities.
Honestly, I like the Peach that gets kidnapped more than the Peach that can fight. Because, as shown in Paper Mario 64 and TTYD, she may not be able to fight, but she shows great intelligence and kindness. This intelligence and this kindness give her a more unique personality and her own set of unique strengths and weaknesses that fit with what we see of her in the mainline games, instead of just "she can fight just like Mario and Luigi do", which is less unique.
@@SONICSTA Oh that's great ^^ Also her being more intelligent than she is strong is fitting for her role, as she is a ruler, and having intelligence to make the right choices for her people is something she needs.
@@mariobroultimate1808 Yes, but it's not just about giving her interesting strengths. It's giving her interestings strengths AND weaknesses for a balanced character. And with Peach getting kidnapped so often and being portrayed as a sweet and calm lady, her not being a fighter makes sense.
Why, what's wrong with Nintendo trying to do new and creative things? Plus she was already the damsel in distress for YEARS, what's wrong with her doing "things", Peach already got enough hate for that by the way

She has to do something at least, she can't just be in her cage when she's rescued forever, you know?
@@troybell7444 Trust me, Peach will always have that traditional role, and she will always have it, everyone will know her for that, but it's still not right to treat a character as something useless, that's why I said Peach has to do "new things"
Normally, I'd question whether or not Peach would maintain her sweet portrayal (the same Peach who would bake a cake for Mario, and show some gratitude for all his efforts). But then I remember Super Mario Odyssey's ending ruined all of that. I just don't want Peach to become some headstrong abrasive bitch, who gives Mario (the hopeless romantic and nice guy) a hard time. Do NOT turn her into DiC!Zelda from the LOZ cartoon.
It was a weird decision to add that gag in odyssey, the more I think of it. But, hopefully Nintendo doesn’t do anything like that again; especially since they refer to them as “close friends” Unless she turned him down already in a gentle way, turning him down like that for the first time really isn’t something a friend should do
Princess Peach spotlights game is going to be bad they sure gave us a Rosalina or Daisy spin-off game because no one cares about Princess Peach in the game but only in the movies
Not even remotely true. At the end to the day Peach is the main heroine of the Mario Franchise. If you were to show someone who doesn’t know Mario all that well, and the see a girl human character their first thought is going to be “THE Princess Peach “Toadstool. She’s a great way to bring in younger girls to purchase these games, and dedicated Mario fans. On the topic of popularity within the fanbase, Peach is way more popular that Rosalina and Daisy( Peach fans aren’t that vocal compared to those two that’s all ). So, again it’s best market her. Not really sure what all this negativity from you came from, but at the end of the day video games are just meant to be enjoyed. If the game flops, it’s not going to be because of the character; but the game design/direction itself
@@Sonicfanultra266 yeah she did have a game on the DS. Which did almost as the Wario platformer games. Similar to Wario who Nintendo decided to change directions for his games( now giving him fun multiplayer mini game compilations ). They are doing the same for Peach, changing up her gameplay as well. It’s not that those Platformers were bad( the Peach and Wario games scored 7-8 on metacritic, which is good ), it’s just that Nintendo wants Mario’s friends to be stand on their own from traditional Platformers( like Luigi and Toad ). Only really DK and Yoshi still have Platforming games
For saving Peach I think they should have be held captive in the first world castle after that she joins up with Mario to stop Bowser's real plan he wants to still kidnap Peach to show whatever new power he's found but Peach how gets a chance to show that she's not interested.
I love how they really wanna make Peach her own person, not always being the damsel in distress and finally being able to have her own adventures. I also think it‘s a great way to show young children, especially girls that they can do anything they want and not have rely on the help of men 🫶🏼🩷
