People weren't joking when they said Nintendo really, really loves the whole "floating head with two hands" boss design. Even the recent SMB Wonder did the same thing. lol
In super Mario bros wonder the hands are gone when you hit them or when they slam down But in this game the hands are gone when you defeat the final boss
I prefer that game, even though some of the levels dragged on for way too long and outstayed their welcome. Then again, this was the same era that gave us Yoshi's Island DS, which also had bland level design.
19:25 DAYUM THAT WAS BADASS! I'M LOVING THESE BOSS FIGHTS. WHOA THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THE FINAL BOSS AND PEACH'S RADIANT FORM IS INCREDIBLE AND SHE'S BEAUTIFUL. ❤😍 Edit: Okay if Mario's biggest enemy is Bowser and Luigi's is King Boo, if they make a sequal to Princess Peach: Showtime then her main villain should be Madame Grape having a grudge from Peach, that would be awesome.
I would say the genre for this game is "Variety", which is a very rare genre of gaming that hasn't been seen since the Wii era, and I'd like to see it make a comeback.
True! It seems like Peach grows more badass with each Game! In Super Princess Peach she was the main Character but still the Peachy Peach we've known, fighting with her emotions but was able to stand by herself. In this Game she acts more of a fighter, more Badass and I think it can be possible that in the next Game she will be working together with Rosalina as she has shown us that she can become on Rosalina Level.
Look like a pretty decent boss line up that offer veraity with the forms and normal form with a pretty great final boss from the look of it is offer balanced difficulty
Theory/Teoría: Peach has a GBH, a timer which speculates that Peach had 24 hours to save the Sparkle Theater, and if she didn't, she'd be teleported outside the theater. She'd look around with a shock expression before seeing the theater in front of her. Then, she'd hear the Wicked Grape calling out to her "Your hero's fate has been sealed. With his flesh... REMAINS! Goodbye, Peach! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!" and the Sparkle Theater would slowly vanish completely, leaving Peach depressed over the fact that Mario was trapped in an orb at the theater all along.
This girl knows how to kick butt! 0:28-Did Peach get a new voice direction! Sam Kelly's sounds completely different! But it's the same actress for Peach!
If Peach was always this fearless, adventurous, and powerful, there would be no need for Mario to have to travel to so many worlds, run a thousand dangers, and always risk his life to save her.
I mean, her kidnapper is a huge turtle-dino thing who enough power with his machinery, weapons, and troops to wipe out her kingdom and another at the same time with ease and her people are tiny mushroom goobers. Also on multiple occasions, Boswer catches everyone off guard and then makes sure Peach is locked away before she can even get the chance to escape
is it just me or do some of the cutscenes look like they were animated similarly to "Balan Wonderworld"? I do actually like the nicely animated cutscenes from that game, and it's so nice to see the amount of detail these cutscenes are in this game, too
Madame Grape just wanted to put on a show, just wanted to make something with a different tone from the usual... but she couldn't find the right way to do it, to do it without destroying other shows, and so, was fated to be struck down... how fittingly tragic for her.
I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't do more with Madame Grape. I mean if you look at her design, it appears her dress, her hair and hat are add-ons, separated from the actual body. And with the mask and the cravat, they could have very well hid the fact that behind that mask and cravat, there's a Sparkle (that's how I call Stella's species, even if that's also the name of the power they possess), as Madame Grape would be a Sparkle just like Stella. It would have been a cool twist. In fact, Disco Wing mentioned the power of "Darkle", so obviously Dark Sparkle, and well then Madame Grape could have been a Darkle, similar in appearance to Stella, but with Purple colors. As I said, I call Stella's species Sparkles, but I don't think her species has a canonical name. But either way, Stella has the power of Sparkle, and Madame Grape has the power of Darkle, as said by Disco Wing, so she could have been the same species as Stella, or a dark variant, hidden behind these clothes, regardless of their species' name. But calling them Sparkles and Darkles is easier and makes sense. It would have been cool to, after she's defeated, have Madame Grape explain why she became that way. Maybe she was a Sparkle at first but something turned her into a Darkle. Maybe she wasn't accepted among the other Sparkles and her resentment led her to whatever turned her into a Darkle and to enact revenge on the Sparkle theater. Or maybe she always was a Darkle, and that's why she was rejected by the Sparkles. If that's the case then nothing transformed her, but the way she was treated still led her to want her revenge on the theater. But either way, at the end, after she's defeated, the twist could have been revealed and explained, and Peach and Stella would accept her as she is, leading to a happy ending even for Grape. But Grape isn't even a Sparkle/Darkle, she just dies at the end and it's a missed opportunity. But with Mario Wonder and the build-up towards Bowser's EPIC Wonder completely falling flat at the end, I don't know why I was expecting Nintendo to come up with a good and satisfying twist at the end of this game too. I know the writing in Mario games is rarely a focus (sadly), but there's a difference between a simple story and a story that falls flat like Mario Wonder's, and well this game's too.
More interestingly, the main bosses have something to do with lights, while Grape has very heavy black hole motifs, with her fights reflecting that by phase 1 being her in the middle of the stage hogging all the lights, and phase 2 she sucked everything around her to become a behemoth, and threatened to get rid of all the light of the land And one could assume all the bosses are made of artificial sources of light because Grape is probably very jealous and hates the natural essence that is the sparkles coming out of the sheer love and passion the performers have for their craft that fill the theatre with light and life, and all these puppet minibosses and mechanisms invading the plays show she intended to replace all the magic and beauty with gimmicks and knockoffs, all so she doesn't just have total control and gets all the credit, but so there's no real competition whatsoever, and considering how easy they're to defeat and how they're hardly making anyone happy, she just wants to be the best of the worst, pursue an illusion more fake than the stage plays themselves
@animatetrioj1507 It might be the first time she killed anyone, I have never seen deaths in a mario game like this since they always poof out of existence. But this death was pretty graphic, because even though grape is some sort of entity, Her mask breaking could be kind of gruesome since She is sentient and she doens't just poof away immediately but when she does, she lets out some sort of death cry which is pretty haunting. I've never even played this game myself though and don't plan on it, not because I don't like it or think it sucks but was only interested in how the final boss fight would go. It was cool to see peach get some recognition again once in a while.
This game reminds me a lot of Puppeteer on the ps3. The animal boss fights, the stage theme, the different "costumes" for each power. It's a fun resemblance
Spoiler alert: This game is about a Princess with Lots of Toads and she meets new characters and goes on an adventure once again to fight new enemies and bosses and save the day once again for referral as the once again talk about play Super Princess Peach on the DS and that is where this Princess named Peach is from
Okey...
That Light Fang Boss in this Game is ACTUALLY a reference to the Perfect Chaos Boss Battle from Sonic Generations! Because Peach as Sonic Light Fang as Perfect Chaos
Bowser trys anyway to get a the upper hand in the mushroom kingdom Sometime Taken Peach Out of the Blue Other Time Taking the Whole Castle Or Trying Get a Powerup to One Up Mario Basically Bowser Is Both Predicted and Unpredictable
This has clearly inspired in some Sonic' concepts, and others from Kirby. And i fucking love it! It's the most innovative that i seen in the mario universe in years!
@@NickMario1I don't think people HATE it, it's just clearly a game designed for young children, so it's not designed for the kind of hardcore fans that post about their games online. The kids this is designed for are playing and loving it. 😅
@richardlee3679 exactly a lot style and potential but from a gameplay perspective very mid to be honest with far better games to choose from even 15 years ago
@@ordovicianscourge9520 Supposedly, why Peach clearly couldn't defeat Bowser on her own,Even If She was strong She still a woman And The Females are commonly weaker than the Males,Besides Peach biggets fortress was speed than other think.
