I'm retired and outside of the current culture in education. Back in the Dark Ages, the only reason for an immediate suspension lacking a parental notification would have been violence leasing to bodily harm to a teacher or admistrator. Not ever being appraised of the "crime" makes it impossible to judge the punishment. However, a comment of, "You don't know who I am," would not make any points with me. For a parent to be involved in politics and none if staff knowing borders on the unbelievable. This video is the perfect example of the old saying regards "Making a silk purse out of a sows ear," in reverse. Sows ear from a silk purse. This video was a total waste of time.
I saw the same thing I wonder why he apologized to her but never said what happened he was just saving his own job no excuse for why it was all about his own ass
Due to the comments I'm not listening to this any longer, you don't suspend a child for nothing especially when she never gets in trouble and is a good student. I started reading the comments when the story doesn't have reason because I hate stories with no content and no excuse
I think this is one of those example I see on RU-vid a lot where the "objective" is not to reveal the essence of the story (i.e. usually what's linked tot he "clickbait" title), but to pester you with backstory and other BS while delaying the eventual resolution (if they ever get to it) so that you watch the whole video instead of turning it off in disgust before it's done. They want to see how many they can get to watch the whole video. Usually, the juicier the "Clickbait title," the more BS and delays in the story, and the higher chance you may never get the story fully resolved.
Where are getting she was physically hit, understand how clickbait false thumb nails work and then I usually avoidsaid video, as it is not going to be a good one.
Thanks for the honest comments on here! When this pathetic story ended, I was at a total loss to understand what had happened and what was the results. I thought I had gone to sleep and missed the main points. Turns out they were never made and it was a feebe attempt to play with words in an effort to bring praise to the author! The author should be sent to a 'real' principals office!
❤ HE'S NOT RUNNING A COUNTRY, BUT CAN'T HANDLE A FOURTH GRADE STUDENT? WHAT WAS HER CRIME? SUSPENSION OF A FOURTH GRADE GIRL WITH A PERFECT RECORD, SEEMS ALITTLE OFF TO ME! ❤
Think about it this way principals will often suspend or expell students they don't like or it's because the student is too behaved for their own good I should know my brother went through it with the disciplinarian in middle school to the point where he was targeted by the disciplinarian in school
I was that little girl who was subjected to corporal punishment but with a family that anything that drew attention was Taboo. He had bamboo canes and belts with different thickness and made you cross your hands the belts were on the wall displayed like trophies.Even in my innocence I knew something was going on between him and the Secretary.
What nonsense a child is SUSPENED based on their actions/ behavior NOTHING to do with who their parents are. WHY would the principal feel he made a mistake.?
What did the child do and why use all this time to say many things and really nothing at all about the child's behavior issue to cause her to be suspended.
Namaste 💚 the question is what did she do to get suspended in the first place and why weren't the parents called and notified about the suspension and the reason for the suspension
Namaste 💚 the question is what did she do in the first place to get suspended from school and why weren't the parents called and notified Emma's school suspension reason and how the entire situation came about
Namaste 💚 Many schools have many rules some suspension when they're doing things that they know that they are not supposed to be doing So that's exactly who suspends children
WAS THERE A REASON EMMA WAS EXCUSED FROM SCHOOL? YOU FOCUS ON THE PRINCIPAL...AND HIS APOLOGY...WHAT IS HE APOLOGIZING FOR? I THOUGHT EMMA DID SOMETHING BAD ENOUGHT TO GET HER SENT HOME. HER MOTHER WANTED HER CHILD TREATED LIKE EVERYONE ELSE...BUT THAT ISN'T WHAT HAPPENED IS IT? YOU DON'T DEAL AT ALL WITH WHO EMMA IS...AND WHY SHE DID SOMETHING TO GET REMOVED FROM SCHOOL...WHO HER PARENTS ARE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHO EMMA IS. I WAS SHOCKED THAT THE PRINCIPAL DID NOT KNOW EMMA'S RECORD BEFORE HE SPOKE TO HER THE FIRST TIME. THE PRINCIPAL'S WEAKNESS TURNED A SIMPLE INCIDENT INTO A PUBLIC AFFAIR DESIGNED TO EMBARRASS THE STUDENT, HER PARENTS, THE PRINCIPAL, AND THE SCHOOL. I WOULD THINK ABOUT REPLACING HIM. I CANNOT SAY WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE CHILD BECAUSE I HAVE NO INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT SHE DID TO DESERVE REMOVAL FROM CLASS. YOUR REPORTING OR STORY TELLING IS DEFECTIVE. YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE IMPORTANT INFORMATION. AND I HAVE SERIOUS TROUBLE THINKING THE PRINCIPAL WAS EVEN A LITTLE QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB. NOT TO MENTION NO MAN IN CHARGE OF A SCHOOL THAT I KNOW ACTS LIKE THAT. UNBELIEVABLE!
what is wrong now. children running amuck at schools and not behaving, had principal that paddled students on the pa system during my schooling, new the students and they needed it.even me I got hit with a bolo paddle a few times sets you straight.
28 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. What a waste of time! What were the reasons for her suspension? This could have EASILY been a 2 minute video and in that, been much more meaningful.
I keep reading comments and agree, it does not make sense. We all waited for it to the end, and watched the whole thing is probably what wonderbot wanted us to do. Giving them more advertising time. They got us, we watched, we chatted about it. We got Fished, then they cut the line.
No explanation of the situation that suspension was warranted, just perspective of the principal's obvious lack of information... I sincerely hope that this fiction does not echo the reality of any true situation. It's shallow and shows vindictive intent without any investigation by the principal into a teacher's decision regarding consequences of a student's behavior.😔
I'm sorry but that is morally wrong as a story. Just because the so called family has political power should never detract from a Principle's judgement and the fact that it undermines the discipline within the establishment. What kind of message is this video trying to push.
These stories never get straight to the point in the effort to build intrigue. The fact that nothing states why she was suspended, the break in logical flow of storyline, did the principal forget that Emma was suspended, as well as the teacher. There is to much repetitions. Just tell the story without the histrionics. Demand clarity, how about such owed the audience?
My bad, I just wasted 28 minutes of my life because I assumed there would be a point to the story. There was not. Just shows what assuming will get you.
Utter nonsense. Principal Eric needs to give the 'writer' an F- for constructing this drivel, Even as background noise, it was 28 minutes never to be retrieved.
This ia a stubed story. There ia picture of Emma in the hall and the teacher has a paddle in her hand. What is that all about. I don't now why I read this stuff.
First of all, the story is incomplete. The obvious is why she was suspended, physical or violence? I'm pretty sure in such school policies, it requires the parents to be notified and even come to the school to pick-up their child. Another AI failure... We still have time before the machines take over.
It doesn't matter who your parents are if you do something wrong and you're of age you need to take full accountability for actions Emma's in 4th grade she is old enough to take responsibility if she has done something wrong she has no right to use that do you know who my parents card is because it does not matter
Asuming that there was a legitimate reason for the suspension, who her mother is should have no effect. The mother even said this, so maybe she was a true diplomat. I get a feeling that most of these stories are originally from an Asian country as the social norms presented aren't Western.
Why was Emma suspended? Why was it never explained what she had done to warrant suspension? If the student does something that warrants suspension, fine, then they should be suspended. But in a story, it should be explained why such action was necessary.
Does it matter Who the parents are?? Question is,What did the kid do wrong according to school rules,,, should the kid left doing wrong, because of the parents possitions in life,,
I cannot believe that just because a parent is in an important role in the community her children should be treated differently from other students at her school. In the story, it was never said why she was suspended. I have been teaching subjects in English to Thai students at all levels over the last 17 years. I always treated all the students in my classes the same, yes, some of them did not want to learn English. When questioned about why? Her answer was, "Teacher, who around here will speak English to me? I had no answer. Martin. (Thailand)
I totally agree! It was so stupid. I kept waiting and waiting to hear why she was suspended in the first place and even went back to the beginning thing I must have missed a little. But nope! This story as just a lot of words. No real story line. A hint of what may have been a conflict but no actual resolution it was a story with no beginning, no real ending, no subject really. Not even what would consider a story at all.
This child is already showing signs of her growing up thinking she is privileged and can use her mothers position to do as she pleases. Although we don’t know why she got suspended, she should not receive special treatment!
Spencer. You don't know what the hell you're talking about? She was a good kid in school. He had no business taken to the office and spanked her in the first place. You did nothing wrong. You have to get permission from the parents. He needs to be fired immediately and right to jail like I said, lucky, not my child, he would be going to jail and b getting sued by me. If that was my child. No principal at school has any business banking. Other people's kids discipline starts at home and we get told we can't spank our kids. So what the hell do schools think they can spank other people's children? That's supposed to be against the law. That's what I've always been told. When my daughter was a kid she isn't grown a** limited. She ain't for this bullshit either
I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent video uploaded to RU-vid. The storytelling in this video is deeply flawed, as it fails to provide essential information crucial to understanding the narrative. Throughout the video, the focus remains on whether the principal's decision was justified, yet crucial details regarding why Emma was suspended are conspicuously absent. This omission severely undermines the narrative coherence and leaves viewers perplexed. As a result, many of us are left wondering about the justification behind Emma's suspension. Given that she is portrayed as a good student with no prior issues, the lack of clarification only compounds the confusion. Furthermore, the video's attempt to provoke discussion about the principal's decision falls flat when the underlying cause of the suspension is not disclosed. This oversight renders the entire video a frustrating experience, as viewers are unable to engage meaningfully with the central conflict. In conclusion, I urge you to ensure that content uploaded to RU-vid is complete and coherent. Transparency regarding the storyline is crucial for fostering meaningful engagement and avoiding viewer dissatisfaction. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to see improvements in future uploads.
The biggest problem is not telling why Emma got suspended in the first place The girl asking him if he knows who she tells me she has connections. Also she went into the principal’s office while he wasn’t there which is trespassing. While her mother is a politician it has no standing. Also they have no idea who he knows.
Veery poor story relating to the MAIN Issue of Emm’s reason for suspension instead am very extended discussion of the Principal’s Ignorance. Should focus on the problem and resolution. Waste of time for listeners.
First why was she suspended second it should not matter if her mom was in government or not any kid that is suspended for doing something wrong should have to face the consequences of their actions
What is this even about? It doesn't matter who a child is - all children should be treated with respect whether their parents are working ppl or the parents have so called standing in the community. Who cares if momma is a politico? What is this story even about?
True story here..when I was in the fifth grade we had two seperate teachers. One that taught most of the subjects and the second one taught a class. Well the second teacher had given us a project, a written report on something. The day we were to turn it in I could not find mine. I knew I had it that morning before I left for school, mom had put it in my school bag. Well Mrs.Strohm had every student that did not have the report go out into the hallway. We were to receive two pops from a wooden paddle. When she got to me I quickly turned around and pointed my finger at her and said if you hit me with that boars, my momma will come down here and hit you with her iron skillet. Well as you can imagine the teach didn't like that one bit and responded well let's just go see what Mr. Ellis has to say about it. Mr. Ellis was the principal. Once in his office the teach told him the whole story, Mr. Ellis said well since she can find your report, let's just see what your mother has to say. He rang my mother, told her the events and my mother quickly cut him off and said Now look here. I damn well know Randy had that report when he went to school this morning. You better go look for it. And by the way, if anyone there touches my child with a wooden paddle or anything else, I will come up there and hit whomever hit my son with my iron skillet. Do you understand. Well Mr.Ellis kind of turned red and said he would go look for the report. We went to my main class and he went through my desk and found it. Back then, 1977, we had these weird desks that had a flip top for you to put books or pencils in, and my report had gotten scrunched up in the very back. Mr. Ellis found it and then apologized to me in front of my class, then took me across the hall to Mrs. Stromhs class and in front of her class he made he apologize to me. It's strange how you remember things from the past.
If a fourth grade child misbehaves he/she should be disciplined. It shouldn't matter who the parents are. This attitude is why we have so many entitled brats in schools today.
I see where this...story is going. Lesson #1 Have all your facts before you speak. Lesson #2 Be responsible enough to admit mistakes & accept the consequences of your actions.
