The printer was a bit complicated to hook up ru-vid.comUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.
Is the Vinyl backing already sticky or do I need some type of Adhesive. Let's say we want to stick these onto cars but don't want to damage the paint, what's the best way to do this?
OMG, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!! I have been attempting this for the last 2 days and all my stickers have been coming out SO crappy!! This truly helped me, thank you so much. Beyond helpful!
Gr8 tutorial step by step guide. Started making my own stickers a few days ago just for personal use and the först misstag i made was using a vinyl that wasn't waterproof. Thanks for the tips highly appreciate it.
That's awesome. I learned something in illustrator (cut lines, I've never needed them), and a different way to send annimage over to cut. I print the page, scan it to the brother program, lock the layer, then import a blacked out jpg to be my cut, line up as many as I need on top of the stickers I'm doing, hit transfer to machine, and then cut. But I'm going to give this other way a try. See which overall, from scratch is faster.
thank you finally understood the process i was searching for the answer which is "how the printed sheet and the vinyl cutter links" and i got thru your video .that boxy cutting sheet. thank you again.
Great video. And guess what, it's a business tactic to make a printer cheaper than ink, and they'll make it run out of color even when it's still there.
It's rediculous. Suck wastage. And the amount of non recyclable packaging that comes with it is a joke. Don't know how gov hasn't regulated this. Thanks for the comment
Appreciate the tut but the manual placing of the print on top of the sticky backing and then running through a cutter seems really manual. Is there a better way to do this via sticker paper?
Nice work..Julian ih is possible to made one video step by step more acurate to lern haw to made this stiker..i am not profi in Ilustrator..i want to lern haw to made this cut line, haw to arange this in page..THANKS..ex a client send to my a pdf file with a stiker model..haw to prepare this from bighin to end..all best !
The more i look into this the most confusing it gets. To be fully versatile in what i can print i apparently need a printer that can print white ink and those printers arent cheap
Very helpfull video man ! I still got a question, are those UV resistant ? Because some i ordered from amazon were branded as UV resistant and fadded out really quick
Yes, you will be able to use Photoshop. I personally don't care for illustrator and prefer PS. Different method but same results if you know what you're doing.
JPEGs, vectors, cut layers spg, I wonder how many people hung till the end, to people not schooled in Photoshop or illustrator you might as well been speaking Chinese. If people are here watching how tos to make stickers there probably clueless about Adobe products. You can do the same thing with Microsoft office and a lot easier. I happen to be a Photoshop and illu blackbelt it took a year to learn it. I doubt people will spend a year to learn it to make a few SpongeBob stickers.
I ordered some stickers off Ebay I was gonna put on my new glass panel PC case, the images on the purchase page were very good, the ones I received were absolutely terrible, I contacted the seller and they said the image quality was so bad because they were printed at 300 dpi and they refunded me, shameless because they are the ebay "recommended" seller and are promoted for these stickers.
@@juliangoulding It wasn't anything you recommended, just some stickers I wanted, I looked up your video because I wondered how hard it actually was to print decent stickers, and after seeing this they have no justification for selling garbage ones :)
I have the same printer and my stickers don’t come out that crisp and the color is more matter and you can see the printing lines. I was searching for a better printer but now I’m confuse because yours are pretty nice. Any suggestion?
I don't know if you figured this out but for anyone else who also has these issues, hide the cut layer (the red outlines) for printing, this outline is just for the cutting guides. The print quality, things to make sure of: is in the document set up, 300 dpi, CMYK not RGB (CMYK is for printing, RGB is for screens), the illustration is a vector, not a raster, do not scale to fit this can cause stretching/ deformation.
hey there ! I see you are using an inkjet printer, but I was wondering if you knew if it could work with a laser one or a ecotank to tranfer on the vinyl ??? thanks for the video
