Great idea for a video, but Chris please buy a macro lens, its impossible to see what the tools are doing with your current lens selection. Cheapest solution I can recommend for you is a Macro Reverse Mount Adapter Ring. I recently bought a 67mm Fotodiox adapter for my Canon 70-200mm lens and it was perfect for set and forget arrangements like yours, it will fill the screen, letting us see the tool do its work.
I also had the same question re Lino and looked up the multiple line engravers tool in the McClain catalog. According to them, it works on hard surface and not Lino. Too bad. I wonder what Chris’ experience is with Lino and this tool.
