Cutting with the top of the bar puts strain and friction on the bar tip and the chain. Excessive tip and chain wear is the result. When you cut with the bottom of the bar the torsion and friction are mainly between the cut and the drive sprocket with the slack part of the chain going across the top of the bar and around the tip relieving undue stress on the bar tip. I did not see any comments point this out but I speak and read only English. Well thought out build other than that!
I'm a logger my whole life, I usually just hold the saw an not the wood, surprise you how much lighter and easier to handle a chainsaw is compared to a 16ft pine log.....
Please note the use of timber in this build. Wood absorbs vibration and won't damage the chain if it comes into contact with the saw. This is a cost effective, smart and practical design....Bravo, Jerry! Subscribed and liked because you deserve to be recognised!!
Remove gas cap vent valve. Drill hole in cap. Install fuel hose. Old lawn mower gas tank mounted higher than saw tank. Tilt saw and or table to the right. Make sure the fuel pickup/filter is at the lowest point. Send it!
@@georgehopper4535 Ok, or ... you can directly connect the fueltube, which is inside the chainsaw-fueltank , with an external fueltank ( extending the tube off course) , same goes for the lube-oil . That small tube is almost in any chainsaw-tank .
Awesome contrption but really dangerous as hell tbh. I'd trust myself to not be that stupid and cut my hand off, but I wouldn't let anyone else near that thing.
