The style looks good on Priscilla. Would love to see more haircuts from Nelma on Priscilla or other clients. Nelma is definitely a confident and take-charge hairdresser.

She reminds of a stylist my wife went to years ago after an 'up market' salon refused to cut her long hair into a neat Bob. Within 5 minutes of sitting in the chair 18inches of her hair had been sheared off clipper over comb as there was no need to waste shampoo as it was coming off anyway!
OMG! Tell Priscilla that the hair cut suit her. I like how this women cuts hair. Old fashion way, yes indeed. For her shape of face this looks awesome!
@Franklin .. agreed .. For a while I used to go to an old school beautician for my haircuts instead of a barber.. older lady .. still in white or pink uniform white shoes nice lady .. but once your in her chair your head is hers .. first stop.. very thorough shampooing like in this shop !
@bruceapril8610 .. it is a nice shop .I’d love to get a haircut there . the lady I went to had all her equipment from the 70s never updated . And she was getting up in age when I went to her so no reason to do a remodel. I’m not crazy about all these black and white sterile looking places ..
@bruceapril8610.. old school I thought were the best .. the one’s grandma would go to for their weekly wash and sets .. I thought they were well in control once they got me in the chair! .. some of my friends thought I was crazy but I had better haircuts than the barbers gave them .
Thanks, and yes Nelma can be a bit rough with the hairstyling at times but she is also very thorough and makes every effort to create a fine coiffure for a lady.

I agree! Her present short haircut is quite elegant. She has it shampooed and set twice weekly. Don't know if you've seen the pic on Classic Hair but it's the last one in the Priscilla folder. Sometimes, between sets, she'll shampoo it and wear it as a stylish pixie cut.

Hi Susan, I assumed that having the short style I wanted would be relatively easy; however I’ve yet to find a Nelma clone who can do the complete restyle. A nose job would be easier to organise. I thought a short tight perm on top with very thin pencil rods, clippered very short sides and back and razor shaved quite far up the back would be a mundane simple request but that’s not to be. There are Nelma’s and Bea’s out there; it’s just a question of finding them! Patricia
love this lady hairdresser no if or buts just cut hair no messing around she was in charge and you just seat and did what she said when she was finished she told you not until then

Actually there is a 15 minute time limit with the option for more time. I had to enter my cell number and have an access code sent to it, apparently to confirm my identity. The cape was quite spectacular and Priscilla looked just lovely wrapped inside of it. She was comfortable and relaxed as those clippers were removing her hair.
Nelma is quite focused when she is doing a lady's hair. Once she gets started she stays busy until the hairdo is complete. Nelma's Beauty Shop is at Raccoon, Kentucky. In Pike County which is on the eastern tip of the state. If you're in the area we could possibly arrange for you and Priscilla to have your hair done there.
I'd love to see how that looked as I have toyed with the idea of the same style myself. A proper lady hairstyle.. Did you get to have it done Patricia?

It is great to see a complete video clip of a Haircut rather than having to be satisfied with short snippets. Is it me or does the stylist seem to be rather rough with the client - especially when shampooing? Peter
Priscilla personally requested that style and even took a pic of the style with her to Nelma's. Yes, she was pleased. We spent a very nice day together after her appointment.
My wife I made a bet that both of us lost. Loser had to get haircut of others choice at a barbershop. My hair is long enough to put in ponytail and my wife's was as long as Priscilla's. My wife picked a high and tight for me and I picked the cut Priscilla got for the wife. Korean lady barber did a great job. Wife loves her haircut and wants to go shorter soon. Me not so much
@TheNatsfan .. Asian barbers excellent. This lady here probably does good barbering ..nice work here with the clippers .. I’d try her for a haircut .. and wouldn’t mind getting my hair washed by her too . I used to go to an old school beautician for haircuts , she did a much better job with the clippers than the barbers I went to and gave me a good thorough shampooing .
@Bruce April .. she’s probably excellent with the clippers doing a guys haircut ..wonder if she has steady male customers. I think it would be nice to get a shampoo and haircut from her..
@bruceapril8610.. oh you mean using hair spray with the curling iron? I’ve never seen that done like that although makes sense to hold the curl in place .. she’s good with the clippers too ..
