I don’t understand, why the masculine often treats the feminine with such lack of empathy or understanding, reverence and respect.. this happens in gay, straight relationships, family relationships, the workplace etc. frankly I want it to stop. The feminine is just as important and sacred as the masculine, show her some respect.
It’s called being toxic that’s all. Whether masculine or feminine male or female. Especially people with personality disorders. Even if someone doesn’t have personality disorder they can still lack empathy while displaying a lot of it by faking Seen many women like this
I really need to watch the film in its entirety. Such a masterpiece in its depiction of the abuse she endured as a young girl. I hope Prescilla has found peace in her life and continues to enjoy every day. ❤
She did not endure any abuse. She was never left alone in the house, never molested when she was underage as the movie depicts, never had Elvis throw a chair at her. Priscilla was not a midget and Elvis was not a giant. In real life he was not even a foot taller than her. All of these are changes from the book to make Elvis look like an abuser. Also the scene where he makes her model dress after dress in front of a bunch of drooling goons. In the book, she just said that when she looked extra pretty "Elvis would take me downstairs and show me off to the guys." That is, one outfit, occasionally when Elvis was proud of her. Another loving thing that the movie has turned into an "abuse". With Priscilla's ok of course.
I have read Elvis and Me by Priscilla several times over the years. It is one of my favorite books. I love Priscilla and all she stands for. I don't understand why she is getting so much grief lately. I have not seen this movie but from this video it seems to go along with her book.Priscilla is the only one who can tell her story. She lived it.
In her book she said he sexually forced himself on her. Then in an interview she says she regrets the choice of words and it wasn't that intense. This woman is a mess and Elvis is not here to defend himself. She said "it's not about the money" but then takes millions. She keeps his last name even though they're divorced. She makes money off the name. She was smart enough to fool all these people.
@@sassygirl4728 If you read it carefully the book did not say he forced himself on her. She said he 'took me forcefully"(not forcibly) and she never says she said no or anything. It was in the MOVIE that she had him depicted as a RAPIST. Later, asked if her raped her, she said, "no, I guess they put that in for drama". She was one of the producers on that movie. SHE could have stopped it from going out that way!
let’s not forget Priscilla was 14 and elvis was 24 and that’s disgusting she was a victim of abuse… and she survived i honestly have full respect for priscilla and all she endured ❤
That was the thing to do back then, Loretta was 14 yrs old when Married her Husband, also My Uncles Wife was 15 yrs old, but he was a Marine that don't make it any better either, but the truth of the matter is they all could have said No, but they went along with it. Despite how it looks on the outside looking in.
It’s true she was fourteen when they met, but he didn’t take her virginity until 21. Do remember Elvis genuinely loved Priscilla and they’re marriage wasn’t all abuse and grooming.
@@Circa1628fair point but he did love Priscilla at least since he wouldn’t have married her then. If he was just going to be a pedo and groom her he wouldn’t have got all the bother to marry he since it would of made him look bad but 🤷♀️
I’ve got more interested in Priscilla since in the movie Elvis (2022) showed how Elvis treated her and her disappointment when she saw he was cheating on her or did things without telling her. I liked that in that movie showed that side of Elvis too
happens more than you think. they rope you in and manipulate you and then when they threaten to leave you go crazy. she got out faster than most others
@@AvaGeving Do you mean a legal crime? No it isn't. And she was never groomed. They were separated for most of her teenage years. The movie tries to make you think otherwise but she didn't come to live with Elvis until she was 18. Actually two months short of 18 but Elvis was away and didn't get back until she was 18 years and 1 month old.
@@saphireblue3563Back in those days the age gap was completed fine. My grandmother used to say that many of her 13-14 year old friends would go out with seventeen year olds and nobody would care. Besides, they had about a couple of interactions before Elvis went to the army for 2 years. She would be 16 when he finally managed to see her again. And by that time again no one would judge him or her because that would of been considered a maiden girl.
@@Nahuza I know. And he was completely respectful of her, treated her with respect and respected her honor. He did nothing wrong in his relationship with Priscilla.
@@saphireblue3563 they definitely argued but it was probably about his pills and stuff. I don’t think there was anything truly bad about their relationship but the age gap and the fact Elvis probably had bipolar (in my opinion).
@saphireblue3563 Facts, people believed her fake story so much, that some of her "Supporters" left death threats towards the Elvis Fandom community for their own satisfaction. These new "Supporters" are so disgusting and ignorant, they won't even take the time to figure out the real priscilla but had time to pay and watch this movie, where half of the money is getting sent to "The church of Scientology" where she abused and endangered her daughter life even before she was born. If Elvis was alive she wouldn't have ever said crap and live out her own life and not destroy her own daughter life, Elvis was a better parent figure towards Lisa Marie then Priscilla could ever be. Elvis was even respectful towards Priscilla private life while she couldn't do the same back. What a witch with a cape full of serpents.
It’s not that easy to leave a relationship like that people make it sound easy but it’s a lot harder to walk away from a relationship like that and she did love him I think that’s why she was so blind on his faults she was 14! When she met him don’t blame her
@@saphireblue3563 talking to a minor and then making them build up trust and date them or be involved in romantic/sexual activities once they have built up that trust and are of a legal age. you can easily google that.
I wouldn't call their marriage abuse, otherwise it would've been a lot worse (abuse would be something like the relationship between ike and tina turner for example)
But it is NOT based on her book as it is supposed to be . Many things have been changed from the book to make Elvis look like an abuser. The truth is, she just used Elvis and dumped him, and she now tries to make herself look like the victim.
Can't wait to see the movie♡ just wish they would've cast a gorgeous actress like Priscilla ♡ I know Priscilla is definitely one rare gem but it is possible
