This episode of My Garage brings us to Motor City where we visit Randy “Detroit” Hayward. Detroit is a self-proclaimed walking anomaly - he may have grown up in the city he shares a name with, but his reach far surpasses the 313.
Detroit is a veteran with an accomplished education career who now promotes two-wheeled life as a motorcycle racer and collector. He’s also founded projects such as the Detroit Antique Motorcycle (D.A.M.) Show and the Traveling Black History Museum.
Although he spends his time honoring those who came before him and sharing motorcycle history, there’s no doubt that he will one day be acknowledged in the same breath as the industry giants he currently reveres.
