I never been in prison, I've never deployed under military service. I honestly never want to do either, because I know that deep down ,I am somewhat anti-authoritarian, and I know I wouldn't really survive the experience either way . Just cuz I just got so much issues with following directions from other people ....even when those directions are for my own good. So that being said, I have finally reached a point where I can empathize with people who have survived extreme situations, and somehow came away intact physically or mentally... It doesn't matter so much to me what end of the political Spectrum they're at.....for the most part . I mean there are exceptions, someone comes out of a 20 year prison sentence and is now converted to full-blown Nazism . no that would be a problem.... But that's not most people. most people that are true survivors, know that life is truly precious, and they know that their time on earth is precious. People who can truly appreciate life don't waste time on labels or borders that other people draw up for you..... I definitely have my own beliefs about Warfare in the business of warfare Dot. And how they are nearly giant Tentacles from the Beast of corruption corporate greed that have always existed inside the hearts of men. however, right now I'd like to go back on focusing on empathy. you know, the internet is truly a powerful tool of communications and learning.... when used correctly but the p***, the music videos, and the trolling can make users very jaded about the great possibilities that this technology truly offers. I'm not perfect either, I visited my share of pornsites, overtime though oh, I understand that this technology designed to Aid modern living in the 21st century, not meant to be some kind of digital substitute for the real world. those who waste their time trolling, no matter what their intentions are caught up in this toxic need to substitute media for real life . instead, I want to use internet right now for what the intention of it truly was:help and foster Greater Communications between people all over the world. so this guy Wes Watson, has his own RU-vid page. I'm a substitute teacher and a part-time caregiver in Washington DC. Though they are both stressful jobs, My life is very different from his .yet there is something I am compelled to listen to, I think there is a lot that I can learn from what he has to say... And I don't have to spend any time berating others about military service that I have never experienced myself. I'd like to get a real Discussion Group about this as a teacher, I'm often painfully aware when a child has grown enough 2 reach that Turning Point when. Their life & go from positive to negative based on just the right or wrong decision. I'm pretty much a quiet nerd and I focus my stress through ART & music and other positive things, as much as possible( like I said I've been known to slip up from time to time)... Many of my students come from harder situations, sometimes that creates gaps of empathy. sometimes I can see a kid right before he's about to make the wrong move and I just try to tell him but it seems like I'm the wrong messenger. what kind of impact could be made in having a network of truly sincere people who are in the world of academics and those who have survived life in the streets, in the prison system...? first real question would be how you would even vet someone to be a part of the group. ... you don't want individuals who turn out to be online predators infiltrating the discussion. Anyway this is just a thought , and just an open invitation for those who I want to use the internet for something positive, not just wander around the web looking for some kind of external gratification in order to avoid dealing with an inner problem.
