Funny story, I had an inmate, as I was pat searching him, release a bodily function. After retaining my composure, I continued the search and found drugs on him. One of my weirdest searches ever!!
Watch your fence lines, I find battery packs phones chargers all those buried on a interior fence line not a perimeter fence line, they think cause we put up those new fences I can’t use my metal detector anymore cause the metal fence is stop looking I just use my boot now to push around debris and dirt if I see the ground disturbed
I use A for art drawing. When I see drawings done by inmates I check for possible tattoo drawings. One day I found a possible tattoo drawing of the infamous book title by hitler called mien kumpf.
Awesome video. Halfway through it. Ever had an inmate play a prank? They hide some stupid note in an extremely difficult to find/reach place, that takes tons of effort. Officers think theyre about to get something hot, only to find out it says "Be sure to drink your ovaltine."
We no longer allow inmates to receive ANY mail, legal or otherwise. All regular mail is scanned and destroyed and can be accessed electronically. For legal mail, the legal mail is separated from the regular mail. Each inmate that receives legal mail each day (we have roughly 600 total inmates) is brought up to the Sgt's office. The mail is opened in front of the inmate, the fasteners are removed, and then they are photocopied. The inmate gets the copies and the originals are destroyed in front of the inmate. The inmate then signs a form stating that they received copies and that the originals were destroyed.
Statistically how much contraband comes in with the US Mail!!?? Search your guards. Where electronic copying, email from Jpay visitations are cut back.
@@jamesroseii how often does it happen? How do they spray anything of significance? I don't think LSD is big inside which would be the best for spraying something. I hear they're all passed out on Spice. Is that sprayable? What is sprayable or I guess adhesivable enough to be of interest? I really don't know. Seems to me that Stamps would be the attractive place
I have a question. Given how gangs control the prison population and pass items between them, work as a team etc. Wouldn't we cut back on a large number of these incidents if we could control the gangs? My experience is that the gangs know an absurd amount and other inmates live in fear of repercussions. Yes, cell mates aren't supposed to belong to the same gang. But it's so much harder to separate when prisoners are overcrowded and guards underpaid. Thoughts on gangs?
You are correct that gangs control a major portion of what goes on in prison. Here in Florida they are constantly transferring gang members away from each other to keep them separate but they just end up finding more of their own gang and continuing criminal activity. It is a very hard process keeping them apart.

As you know I'm a prisoner advocate but I hold no illusions about the nightmare inside for employees, guards, and all underpaid support. My attitude is give the guards a real living wage, cut the damned hours down and listen to what they are saying! Stop changing it up according to one theory or another and stop making guards the victims of political games. Because my heart cries for the prisoners who want it better. Who want to learn and return to society and give back what they destroyed. When I hear and read the attitude from some people (not you, you are wise and loving) it confirms that those inside are not human. They're all just looking for a way to scam the system. The prisoners who cause the trouble are unreachable according to my friends. They're hopeless. No interest in doing anything but throw their weight around. I get that. But I've never heard one comment defending the humanity of what you call "inmates" I've never heard a qualifier for those inside but plenty for the guards. There are good people in there buried under the detritus.
you said that you use Geiger counters to search the rec yards (21:20). Did you misspeak, or is there a way to use Geiger counters to search for contraband?
I dont even worry so much about pictures anymore as I get older. Get the drugs and guns. Now photos of the prison or security or the surrounding terrain, yes. Or a photo of a nude prison staff member which is found on occasion, yes this could be a problem. LOL
