Great post Hector! Northerners were always outnumbered so they had to be on point. When I got to SVSP being from down south I never really came across too many Nortenos. Back in 2000 the onsite politics were on and cracking and as small as the Northerners were, they were holding their own.
The Northerns are outnumbered, but there trained to fight 12 at a time ..Their Ninja city is Stockton California, were their Martial Arts escapade started in the 40s. With their Philipinos and the Mandarin chinese that immigrated to that area , then in the 60s death row joe Marine 1968 reformed their whole organization to a military structure.
Good job LT, NF NS &Nortenos are different than other gangs and have many positions within their rankings structure. OA, AIC, BC, YC, TS, NT, The Panel for example. They are very disciplined and violent on fully functioning M/Ls and are a force to be reckoned with. Peace and keep pushing upwards 👊🏼

I've been in and out for 20 years and I once ran "North" I appreciate your down to earth perspective. Correct you are on all points when I was in HDSP we were 40-45 to the 130+ Southerners and that was considered a "strong yard". And to delve into the mentality of the "Rake" tomahawk it's designed to make it almost impossible to sew the face of a victim because the slashes open up into each other. Most people don't really grasp the realities of that environment. I've changed however and I hope more do as well but thank you for giving civies perspective.

My cousin from porterville ca was a northern structure member an was in high desert state prison an was asked to murder someone he was going to be released soon an only stabbed the dude but not killing him since he didn't kill the guy my cousins own gang NF put a greenlight on him an he had to drop out an changed his life smh made me stay away from gangs.

They had structure and discipline. Soldiers in a smart army they had no real choice but to affiliate with. Gotta respect their survival skills. Cuete was a good teacher. Some became educated, good men instead of angry boys. No discipline anymore.
I was the first Northerner to touch down in California City in 2019 The IGI was shocked to see me there They asked if I was okay to mainline there I was like yeah Forsure They started laughing , said you got balls but your tripping and put me back in the hole

@@michaelcampero479 hold up there bro , first off I was already fighting a d.a referral so I was coming into California city from the hole Susanville, when they asked if I can program on the mainline I said yes absolutely.Second Northerns go to any yard don’t matter good or bad, bad u get off and get sent to the hole and figure out your destination from there. Anyhow if u knew the politics with all due respect u wouldn’t be second guessing this
@Mrgotem93 there was no disrespect intended. I questioned why they did that. As for the flagged yards there were some that did get off in r and r I just said in general there were many yards where they were flagged for you guys and it just happened to be most of the yards if not all that were down south. I had friends that were northerners and I don't have no reason to disrespect that ranfla. You do get props for being outnumbered. I caught my c# in 83 and gave it up in 2008. I seen a couple of things. That stuff means nothing to me now I hope everyone keeps getting along so people can do there time and go home
They use to count us on the yard. But yes in high dessert and everywhere I walked the line with them they were structured and respectful. Except the part that they used razors which sureño used for chomos only 🤣

Excellent question! Which I will probably bring up in tomorrow's video. In my experience and knowledge Northerner's attacking staff is nowhere NEAR as much as the south do. Which is one thing I did not like...the strength in numbers.
NO ! N's have a policy to not disrespect the C/O's ,due to business deals and other transactions at risk by getting into it with the cops .only if a officer puts his hands on a N..will a staff assault take place .

@TheMartin9400 TO that I have never read any policy pertaining to such .However ,I assume depending on the incident..all N's must participate to aid their fellow soldado in war .
Northeners are taught not to assault staff unless they are physically harming a fellow soldado. For an unwarranted attack on staff one can be disciplined and most likely even deemed no good and removed (stabbed) for bringing heat to the collective. I believe there has only been one time in the Northeners history where they put a green light on C0s and let's just say they had a very good reason I'm not gonna go into the whole history of it. But other then that no they are taught not to as to not bring any negative attention to the household. Also they are taught to be respectful and conduct themselves professionally at all times including with officers. And even as much as they are respectful some Co's hate them even more for it because they are organized,militant and conduct themselves in this manner. One thing also is that they never are to cooperate with law enforcement,COs or administration and for this fact they are also very hated by some CO's. Hope this gives some insight Northern assault on staff is very very uncommon

Question for Hector: why do you believe Northerners prefer to slash individuals as opposed to stabbing them? Easier to get away with? Lessens the chance of a unintended homicide? What's your theory?
@thatprisonguard yeah but slashing someones throat leaves a scar too. I seen a bunch of guys turned into Pez Dispensers. My theory is you have to get up close & personal to stab someone & if you dont know what you're doing you can have your weapon taken & used against you. Dont know how likely or how common it is to have that happen with a tomahawk. The slashings I witnessed looked more like a game of Tag "you're it".
@thatprisonguard it seems like it's less about the scar & more about drawing blood because anyone that's ever been stabbed can attest to being stabbed leaves a scar, too. Slashings are messy & seem like they're intended to draw the attention of the guards more than to injure the victim. It's like a sign that reads, "Come get this guy, we dont want him"

Northerners do not run with the blacks. They ally with certain black groups when necessary. Sonr get it twisted sometimes they go at it with africanos. My time Ive done weve had tension with africanos in county jail even though we got along .in prison a bit less tension however it still kicks off. Not so much as the southsiders and blacks. They have way more tension

@JulieMayfield-tm9oi northerners are the same way when the numbers are in there favor in certain prisons (solano, Vacaville, San Quentin because those are northern reception centers. It looks like you have a female name what do you possibly base your statement on when you have never been there? And please don't say you know southerners from up state because they ate basically Hispanics who grew up just like northerners. They have a different style. Real southerners deal with multiple Barrios growing up. You got to go through 2 or 3 different hoods just to get to school
I’m black and Mexican from the central valley. So I grew up around Northerners for a long time. What I can say the difference about them is they are a lot more humble and respectful and they’re not racial the way the Chicano‘s are up here in LA… I think it’s interesting how everybody views blacks, even some Mexicans it’s like y’all view us as inferior or disgusting. Clearly, many of you don’t know or haven’t even tried to have positive interaction. On top of that what I think is ironic is when minorities like blacks, and Mexicans join law enforcement. The same system that is created to oppress your people and you’re taking part in the oppression. that’s what’s ironic and interesting to me. Yeah you have a minority sitting here having the nerve to laugh at another minority race or make a comment or make a joke. I don’t respect that and my people wouldn’t respect that and I’m pretty sure the people from the central valley, the respectful people that I grew up with, wouldn’t respect that either. So maybe you should think about it the next time you wanna make a joke or a comment or something slick.
