I think they should be able to open up a “shop” in the prison. It would be way safer way more sanitary. They trust them with barber shops and other things so why not this? They’re going to do it regardless might as well make a safe environment.

The tattoo artists are learning a marketable skill. The tattoo industry is huge and tattoo artists are well paid. If they were smart, they would have a prison tattoo shop along with the other jobs programs. Then they could use real equipment and have sanitary conditions to prevent disease and infection. (Obviously you'd want to have rules on placement and prohibit gang and racist tattoos)

I just wanted to say that having tattoos will not lead you to a life of crime, to join a gang, or go to prison. It's like saying that the spoon made me fat or the pencil made me misspell a word. The person chooses to commit their own crimes, get their own tattoos, & because of their own wrong doing & law breaking, end up going to prison. If the gang members or prisoners choose to have their tattoos, that's on them. They are very beautiful tattoos & the work in the black & white medium is fabulous! Just please don't blame people's crimes or even when they reoffend on body art! I have over 16 tattoos & have no plans to stop! Some people hang their art on the wall, I choose to wear mine!

My "brother" did tats in prison he did my 1st tattoo on my hand and my friends also back in 1981 when he was released. 3mos later he is back at SLO for 25yrs... Sorry to say he has passed away now only 5 days before his release. due to his 2nd heart-attack there. love u animal

@@jessemuratalla826 Actually yes he was the first one, that’s pretty much a well known fact. Yes the masks were around before Freddy, I’m sure people had gotten them tattooed at some point, but Freddy is the one who put them together with the phrase “smile now, cry later”. The clown faces are very old, but using them as the smile now cry later theme in fact was created by Freddy.

Tattoos will not stop you from success. My cousin is a pharmacist (not a technician) and has full back and arm tattoos, my kids are all tattooed and they are college graduates one is even a teacher. It's being in a gang that will stop your dreams from coming true.
