My uncle died in TDC prison and still had 30 years left of his sentence and if we wanted to bring him home we had to pay $10,000 for his body

I currently work at the Walls Unit and I can tell you for a fact that it’s haunted especially the older part of the unit that they don’t use anymore and the Medical Building.

They no longer do tours of the walls unit. Stopped about almost 10 years ago. I don’t know the exact date. They stopped tours to public even longer ago. Then had tours ONLY for criminal justice students from SHSU towards the end. And then stopped all tours completely.

they do the executions way in the back... we see the people walking up the stairs into the building but we dont see them walking outside and walking through back into another building where they have the executions.

LOL.... I know Dr. Crimm. I was part of the Walter P. Webb Historical Society and I have been throughout parts of Texas with her. I had no idea she was operating a tour company.

The last time we went in was over 10 years ago. Last time I tried, they weren't allowing anyone in. But that was around 2-3 years ago. Things may have changed though. It might be worth a shot. I might try again myself. You never know.

Cool and dark. Its 💯 hunted because of the human tragedies, amont of suffering... probably a lot of people trappped inside. Its a big part of us culture. Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤

I was being moved to another prison. Stopped over in the walls they put me in a underground cell. Water was pouring down the walls with a inch of moss and mold growing on it.

Oh, wow! That's crazy! Was it in the old part of the prison...? I can't imagine they would put prisoners through something like that. Wow. So now I'm curious. While you were there, did you experience anything "unexplained"?

I went to the walls unit back in 99 on transfer to another unit. I was their for 2 weeks..I was on a tier by myself, no other inmates were in any cells on the tier I was on. It was early morning and I was up waiting on chow which ran usually around 330am to 530..and I remember weird stuff going on. Toilets were flushing , lights were turning on and off on their own (which had pull strings)..and I could hear someone pacing back and forth in the cell next to mine..which to remind you..it was empty..I went to the Sargent desk and had them move me..lol..I was young. And it scared the crap outta me...

i knew a guy who worked on that unit and saw a ghost that was resembling an inmate close to where they executed them. he said a lot of the people getting executed would fall to their knees before entering the chamber. he said it had an ery feeling and smelled weird.

Why did they placed you in an empty cell block? Why would they even have an empty cell block? Most prisons are usually overcrowded.

@@kingpettytv The Walls unit is the first prison unit in the entire state of Texas, over the 178 years it's been running, some areas are unsafe for inmates to live in. The oldest cell block is the one these guys toured in the video, this cell block or wing (I'm bad with terminology) hasn't been used as regular inmate housing for a long time now due to safety concerns for the inmates and the COs. This part of the unit is the original jail that the rest of the prison unit was built around, and when unit tours are given this is usually the place visitors are taken to first, I work for TDCJ and my division works with the unit to offer historical (non paranormal) tours to new employees who are interested.

@@kingpettytv also this historical unit is typically used for transfers, from what I gather in conversation with coworkers is it's not always at capacity for this reason. But you are right, many and most are overcrowded.
