Chrissie seems to believe the old adage, "Treat them mean, keep them keen". Poor Mick.

I agree. Mick is too good for Chrissie. He is the male equivalent of Jacki Nolan, an escapee who rebuilt his life and made good.

Chrissie is putting on a masterclass in what happens when you have no proper coping skills. There's a lot of Chrissie Lathams out there, and it's very sad.

Judy: Mrs Morris, can I have a word with you before you go? It won't take a minute? Meg: Yes what is it? Judy: Well It's about Doreen you know she's got a pen friend, a fella Meg: Oh good for her! Judy: Yeah it's great but he's asked her for a photograph you know and she doesn't have anything recent except for one with her number slashed across the front. Lol the way Judy describes/explains things at times. Too funny!

God, Amanda Muggleton is brilliant in this episode. Electric performance.

No wonder Doreen couldn't find her teddy near after the drain storyline, Chrissie's stolen it lol.

This week Davo drives Doreen to a park to meet the man she met in the personal comments section. Davo truly excels herself

Chrisie was desperate for a conjugal visit with Mick and now she wont let him touch her....?

What I don't understand is, how on earth did Chrissie qualify for parole merely 2 years after brutally knifing someone to death?

The nurse/administrator at the children's home has no qualms about giving Chrissie a hard time, but I wonder what the administrators would think if they knew they were employing a madam who rubs shoulders with the likes of Jock Stuart. :-)

If Doreen had not told Peter she was a crim, what did he think the place she lived, the Wentworth Detention Center, was? A holiday camp? He sent the letters to her there, & lived close enough to meet her the next day, so surely he knew about the prison

I think Chrissie's father must've really screwed up her mind to make her so distrustful of men. Mick was a good man and she treated him like crap!

Mick is a nice bloke, Chrissie treats him quite badly, not grateful at all......

Even though he's on the run, if only Margo's bloke had been half as good as Chrissie's.

A man who opens the car door and does sweet, gentlemen acts like that this is worth it....Mick is a good guy and shes just afraid due to her past! I can understand that, though when you find one you do tend to let your insecurities ruin it at times

God I love this show so much. First time watching it... 500 episodes left... I'm already heartbroken that a couple of years from now I'll be done watching it for the first time.

This has very quickly became the Chrissie and Elizabeth show.

Young Peter Hope changes his name to Merv Pringle, dumps Doreen and falls in love with Officer Barry. Throw in a bit of perving and we have the famous Chef.

I love Mick he's lovely.

After the first couple of minutes it's easy to tell that Chrissie loves her daughter but despises the father.

Bea Smith looks so charming. Ken Pearce should have stayed with Bea.

Doreen could not even hide the fact that she was not the least bit attracted to Peter...I thought the face she made when she met him was both telling and rude ! What a derp she is !

Has Erica forgot she runs a prison? Why is she even taking Doreen out and getting involved with Doreen and Peter.

Mr Pringle and Doreen, Joyce would not be happy!

Doreen has been known to annoy me at times but in this episode Chrissie really took a big bite out of the Crazy-Cake! lol ~ 23rd February 2023.

Imagine how stupid Davo would have looked if Doreen used the unofficial day release to meet Peter Hope as a chance to do a runner and escape, I thought Erica only supervised prisoners like Lizzie on the outside who she'd be able to catch if they tried to run away.

The whole Doreen story this ep had me in hysterics.

Look at Jim and Doreen at 30:37 when they leave the office and head down the corridor, she looks back at him and he bends over with a fit of the giggles.

Poor Mick. If he _is_ on the up and up (not looking to screw Chrissy over), I feel bad for the dude. He really seems to be trying to provide a living for Chrissy and their baby. But I also feel compassion for Chrissy because she's been through a lot and I'm sure she has many mixed emotions with having to so suddenly adjust to a family way of only moments after being let out of prison, along with her worries about Elizabeth. I think she's also confused about what she feels for Mick. I think she wants to fall in love with him but is afraid. She doesn't know what to do with a man who treats her well. Perhaps, in the back of her mind, she doesn't think a good relationship will last, or maybe thinks he has some ulterior motive that'll be used against her, so she pushes him away. But after the bombshell she found out about Mick, I don't blame her for being irate. I must comment how surprised I am at her turnaround since she first came onto the show. It was unexpected for me. She went from caring only about herself and wanting to abort her baby, to wanting to keep her then fighting tooth and nail to gain custody of Elizabeth and see her every chance she gets before gaining custody. Despite Chrissy's wrongful murdering of Meg's husband (though she admitted her intended target was Meg, which doesn't make it any less wrong), I've grown to like Chrissy. I'm also quite surprised at how quickly Meg has forgiven Chrissy and is jumping to help her. I'm not against that in the slightest. I think forgiveness is vital. Personally, as a believer in Jesus Christ, I think it's rather refreshing to see that Meg has chosen to forgive Chrissy despite the very painful history between the two of them. ••On a side note, I think Chrissy is pretty. I love her hair.••

I really hope that the lady playing Bea irl has a loving caring husband and a happy life, because that scene was truly heartbreaking.

9:50: "I want to see my baby." Again, the way she excludes Mick by saying "my" instead of "our" makes it plain that she has no feeling for the father of "their" child. Too bad, because she would be alright if she appreciated the fresh start he was providing for her--but if she doesn't love him, then she cannot--but in fact it seems that he resents him, hates him even and is amenable to him only when he can bring her to her daughter. They are following the Chrissie storyline, so we know that she will eventually be woven back into Wentworth storylines at some point.

Mick and Chrissie have the halfway house fridge.

Erica totally blew the incident with Doreen and Peter out of all proportion, as per usual. She told a few lies to a stranger she never intended ever meeting, big deal, talk about being melodramatic!! That matron is a right sour bitch! As if being ten minutes late back REALLY constitutes to a major breakdown of her precious routine!!! Its no wonder Chrissie resents her daughter being held in such a place, with people like that in control of it. On a more lighthearted note, maybe the matron is truly angry at Meg because she never got that wedding invitation she asked for when she was sharing a hospital ward with her a while back!! Amanda Muggleton is one of the best actresses in the entire series for me. She portrays such genuine emotions and plays the role of Chrissie extremely elegantly.

Why is Chrissie behaving like a spoilt brat?? She probably needs to find her ass back in prison. Apparently she's not ready for freedom? Her man will get them both in trouble. The cops will find him soon. That could really mess up things for Chrissie and Elizabeth. Despite it all, Chrissie tries her best to be a good mother.

Chrissie is so attractive. And her love for Elizabeth is adorable. Do feel sorry for Mick though. He’s doing his best and she’s being so hard on him ! That matron seems a bit of a battle axe! I wonder if there’s more going on with her than we know yet . And wasn’t Peter Hope lovely ? I hope Doreen changes her mind about him

Very nice and honest, I thought. :) That was nice of Erica to allow Doreen an impromptu date outside! Wow- they'll all be joining the Lonely Hearts Club, now!! A very, very predictable storyline re Chrissy and her baby I would think.

In the scene at 03:33 it looks as though Erica has a ponytail or some of her hair's come loose ?? The matron tells Chrissie that she can't give Elizabeth the bright yellow teddy bear, as it's not fair on the other kids. Chrissie leaves it behind. In the next scene, in the garden, Elizabeth is playing with the teddy !!! When Chrissie and Mick then go back indoors the matron returns the teddy back to Chrissie !!! Some one screwed up on these scenes. My brain has leaked ! I've sat down and watched 10 episodes in a row today. A record for me. I need to have my life back, but no, 500 more episodes to go !!

... all of us p:cbh devotees know and understand VT had a miserable childhood and upbringing but my God! It still amazes me why she doesn't campaign to have the lags confined to cells for 23 hours a day, bring back the ball & chain, leg irons and give them stale bread & water! ... we know she's a fish out of water at the singles bars but hadn't she ever thought of using a contact mag herself? I can just see her in Reader's Wives or some such rag...
