Same here. It actually hits home for me. I was raised in an abusive household. My stepfather did things to my mother, sisters and me that I can even talk about even at 45 years old. I tried to stab him once when he was beating my mother senseless. He got to me first as he was a lot bigger than me. He never stopped and the bastard is still with my mother all these years later.

Always liked Queen Bea as top dog over all the rest, especially when she got the better of Nola, but she can seriously make you sick sometimes with her "moral code" against certain crimes and choices that she deems "immoral". She's not exactly a nun, she's a triple murderer! LMAO.

@josephd.2725
@josephd.2725 6 месяцев назад
@@Deerhunter-fo5mw But it's the same thing, just killing people in a different way. Bea was only bothered by drugs because it was the method by which her daughter was killed. Murder or drugs, you can't just kill people. Bea was a bit of a hypocrite really, made her own rules to suit her own selfish viewpoint.
@marycalmeiro1135
@marycalmeiro1135 Месяц назад
Bea is an emotional psychopath. I suppose that's why she's serving time in prison. 1st murder: she lost her temper and killed her best friend/partner, for screwing her husband. Than her daughter dies of an overdose, while she's in prison. Bea full of guilt and grief, Vera needling Bea, about not being able to attend her daughter's funeral blames her husband, than kills him as soon as released from prison. Nola well that was self explanatory, playing these head games, involving her daughter. We knew that was going to happen. This was no excuse for murdering her friend and husband. However; Bea did need psychological help, to sort her emotions out. She may not have murdered her husband.

Last person we saw trying suicide by hanging was saved by the quick thinking of Colleen. Here, the Guv and Joan just stand there transfixed by the sight of the body twirling in the air. What a sad ending. The wife puts up with the continued abuse of her husband. She loses it and kills him. Gets rejected by her daughter and gives up on life. The sad reality is that the daughter is the one who suffers most of all. In real life the little girl will need serious counselling. She could be a problem child for real. Most likely if she gets married, she will end up just like her mom, in an abusive marriage.

Actually there are no real life crimes. There was one teenager who was a big fan of the show that accused her of doing something inappropriate but many have said that girl was possibly mentally ill or that it was made up to try to blackmail Maggie. There have never been any other such incidents so it seems highly unlikely that Maggie is a child molester.

And now Joan will turn it in on herself and think "see what happens when I let my guard down?". This episode will likely see her reinforce her defence mechanisms and she'll end up taking out her frustrations on the inmates. Her vulnerabilities aren't as overt as Vera's were but they're definitely there. She didn't do much wrong when it came to the Coulsons. 100% of the blame was with that thug Des. Roxie's light orange colouring reminds me of an Oompa Loompa. Jilly's tears made me well up. Fergie the Freak being decent & maternal - well that's a turn about for the books. Now that Coulson's dead she'll be back to her usual + then some. Bea putting the cart before the horse and being wrong yet again. Pixie - good grief...

I think Joan has this rejection complex where she almost deliberately makes people hate her just as they are beginning to warm to her.. Except for kids, who she is always kind to.

When I see people saying they skip through certain parts that they don't like it sends my OCD mad lol I've got through half of them and there's been parts that I've found boring sometimes but I always make myself sit through them so I can say I've seen every part of all of them😂 though I worry about my memory because I see people commenting about recycling characters and I can't always remember them 🤔👍

Thank God I'm not the only one. It drives me nuts too! Although it does mean having to push through the boring scenes, which can be a drag at times, I don't think it usually takes too long before they get back to another interesting story, and it only makes me appreciate the good parts even more.

Have no sympathy whatsoever for the Coulson woman. If she'd been proper insane it might be forgivable, but in sound mind she held a bloodied knife to her daughter who'd just witnessed her dad dead on the floor. Sorry, but that's crossing a line. If she's to top herself, good riddance. I hate all this pity play from these 'victims' turned murderesses. She's single handedly messed her child up for life. Some of that might be my own issues though, lol. It's a goddamned TV show, zoe...

Think again, of the time period, of women under cruel men's thumbs, the lot. The whole tragedy is as unmistakable as it is unavoidable.

She's a really nice woman in real life though. Met her loads of times. she used to buy meat from my uncles butchers shop in Fitzroy. Prisoner went shit when she left despite all her bad points she made Prisoner along with Ferguson. Once Bea ( Val Lehman ) left Prisoner went downhill. It was Ferguson, that kept it going after that, but even then it got boring. The last 100 episodes were crap. but nevertheless it's still the best show to come ftom here in Australia.

Many of the actors played various roles in the series. Speaking of Margo, she was Yvonne in episode 9, Hazel played an officer in the first episode, Myra played Bernadette early on, Ann Reynolds played a bent screw at barnhurst before she became the governor at Wentworth. The list goes on.

Am getting really bored of how judgmental the women (especially Bea) are - usually before they have all the facts, too. The Carol Coulson storyline really worked for me, but I did not see that ending coming.

AdamskiBer Right! I am also bored and tired of Bea's stupid, predictable -- jumping the gun --- judge, jury, and executioner bullying style! Good grief! Swaggering around Wentworth threatening to bash anyone on her shit list!It would seem that the story writers have almost no other fracking storylines for Bea's character! Just two seconds ago, we were all supposed to be caring about Bea suffering and being mistreated! Now,she has finished with her third premeditated murder and has moved on to threatening to bash a pregnant woman! Give us a break, already --- from Bea the Bitch top Dog! Lizzy is often, no better than Bea! I am also tired of hearing Lizzy urge Bea to bash or punish someone! And Bea just eats that shit up! "BEA--- do something!". "BEA! Bea whatcha gonna do about it!".... Oh, shut up, Lizzy! PULEEESE!

Oh yes, , so many people in Prisoner are horribly judgemental, both in and out of the prison. The merest rumour is enough to condemn soneone in their minds!

Interesting that they touched on the subject of surrogate mothers. here in New Jersey where I'm from in the eighties there was a big celebrated court case called the Baby M case in which a surrogate mother refused to give up the baby. the parents who paid her for it sued and it turned into a three ring circus.
