As we reach the end of this amazing series ( which I am sure most will watch over again, I know I have & will do again) I realised long ago that most episodes have say ten thousand views??, but sadly not many have thanked our wonderful uploader " PrisonerCellBlockH95" and have hardly ever given much more than say 20/30 likes per episode?. The amount of time our true star of an uploader has devoted to putting up all these episodes for our enjoyment really does IMHO deserve an enormous deal of gratitude and appreciation. There is no need for sycophantic stuff, but a general appreciation would not go far astray and I was upset reading H95's dismay and what seemed like genuine upset at some nasty or bitter comments which go right through the series. It's like every episode there are nasty critical comments about a show that is from 1979 and was written and performed by writers and actors etc that we cannot change. It's great to have witty banter and to comment about the funny things like mistakes, actors playing numerous roles etc etc. However some comments are nasty and in some cases vile and distasteful to individuals either on the show or other commenters. I am all for free speech and don't take this the wrong way anyone because I am a very nice person and am not preaching to anyone. It would be great if we all showed appreciation and sincere thanks to our uploader and to have nice witty comments or genuine discussion about the show and not attacks on it or attacks on commenters . If we do watch again , like I certainly will be maybe we can try and appreciate how lucky we all are to be able to watch this great show thanks to PrisonerCellBlockH95 and gives our thanks to them from time to time, and be nicer to one another when making comments and just enjoy the show. This is the best channel IMHO of all on RU-vid for Prisoner/PCBH and long may it be so . Sincere and gracious thanks to PCBH95 for all the amazing work and editing, you are a star and have helped me through many hours of pain and sleepless nights as a young man with M.S and I look forward to continue watching and commentating with fellow fans of in my opinion the best Prison Drama of all time. Peace & love to all, Luca xxx :-)
Well said i for one will thank pcbh95 for this mammoth task of uploading this iconic show i hope your in good health and able to control your now your discomfort
Yes thanks LUCAX651.......... we haven't thanked PrisonerCellBlockH95 for uploading this great series. So thank you very much PrisonerCellBlockH95 we have all enjoyed it very much.
*Joyce to Rodney:* "If there were a home for insensitive pigs, you'd be in it." You said it, Joyce! Poor Merle doesn't belong in a psych ward. She needs love and care, that's all. She has special needs. Being locked in an institution will drive her around the ben.
Thank you for uploading all 692 episodes of PCBH. When I left England in 1995, PCBH was on its second round of being aired on ITV, so finally I'm being able to watch the last few episodes. Thank you so much.
44:04 to 44:20 Truly amazing acting by Maggie Kirkpatrick here IMHO . She truly portrays the fact to us all that Joan " The Freak " Ferguson is demoralised , broken and a complete shadow of her former self. Her life is nothing without her " crutch of life" - a prison!. Joan really is locked inside her very own prison by self-infliction actually, albeit not all her own fault as I believe she started out as a good person and officer, and only turned bad when her true love Audrey was killed by the inmates in Queensland. I don't think she was truly evil even after that, just very badly damaged and further along the line she became irreversibly damaged beyond all comprehension. Joan obviously had love for her Father, Lorelei, children and of course animals and even Andrew Hinton. However power corrupts and when a person is damaged and in a position of power, we all know that power can become abused sadly. The world is full of " Joan's" and much much worse types of people sadly. I am sure we have all been hurt and bullied by someone in our lives and the old adage of " The bigger they are, the harder they fall" lives on today. Bullies who hurt and abuse others are everywhere and I know from personal experience at the receiving end of this type of people. I have always stood by a motto which is " The entire world is a very narrow and precarious bridge that we all must cross in this life, but the main thing is never to fear because there will always be someone to reach out their hand to help you cross safely". Joan walking through that gate etc reminds me of the saying " a picture paints a thousand words" or it's other variation I know of from an advert in a newspaper from Ohio in 1913 for an Auto supply company, which states " One look is worth a thousand words" would suit Joan's look of brokenness as she comes back to work at Wentworth much better. Wentworth is going to rock upon her return, but I don't think it's going to be playing any tune that Miss Ferguson is going to like one little bit!!. Watch out Joan, you may get bitten by a hidden snake ready to strike out !. Regards to all " Blockmates" and especially our superb uploader - PCBH95!! Love from Luca xxx
LUCAX651 You type such brilliant and heartfelt comments. I agree with you, and I also was bullied at school. My mum changed my school, and I was much happier there. Thank you so much for your very insightful comments and really nice words to the other Block fans xx
Rita's not as experienced and wise a top dog as Myra Desmond, but damn Rita is cool, and so much fun! She has a lot of kindness and good times to share with her mates! Rita's one of the nicest characters of the series, alongside Major Ferguson, Steve Fawkner, Julie, and Marty Jackson lol. I had forgotten what a cool top dog Rita was after all the years had passed since I last saw the series! Kath Maxwell can't hold a candle to good old Rita the Beater!
Rodney really does have NO redeeming characteristics lol. Joan is an absolute monster. But also kind hearted towards kids. (and animals) Brave beneath all that bullying bluster. And quite an intelligent quick witted person.
Poor Merle. I feel awful for her. They can't send her away! I love how easy it was for Lisa to pass Rita the tape. Ha, ha! Rodney's the one without half a brain not the women. Lurch and Harry are so cute. Alice, you're going to make Joycey deaf! Everybody is thrilled Fergo's coming back. LOL! Control your temper, Rodney.
Mrs. Reynolds missed such a trick at 3'36" when Adams says, "She (Merle) is very strong, Governor. Perhaps there ought to be a man in here." Her reply should have been, "Thank you Mr. Adams - could you go and fetch one for me?" 😃
Kath is an amazing ,woman if you track her history, from house wife to top dog to mad escapee shaking hands with blind men, she sure is versatile, MAXWELL!
I just heard the sad news that Judy McBurney the actress who played Pixie 🧚♀️ died last night on December 1st 2018. She was 70 and battled four years of cancer.
I think Willie did the prisoners a big disservice by keeping Joan out of work. If Joan had gotten that office job, she wouldn't have been in a position to harm people--now she will again.
Rodney on the phone to his lover: "I can forget it all just by looking in the limpid pools of your..." *hears Joyce walk in* "....thank you for calling. Yes I will, goodbye." LOL
Haha.. I love these last few episodes with the punishment cell right across from the 'reward' flat area. They ought to have gone the whole hog. And had a sort of catapult device situated in the flat. So that the well behaved prisoner/s in there could fire rotten tomatoes at the punishment cell for amusement. lol
@@paulagray7628 It's deliberate, but yes it originated in the video gaming world in the early 21st centur, because gamers would type "owned" so quickly, they'd often typo with the P next to the O. The written term hence became known as "pwned!" (pronounced poned) on the Internet and in the urban dictionary.
Lurch referring to Merle as not being too bright. And not too many episodes ago when Merle "escaped" and was talking to her little mate, she was saying how Lurch isn't too bright! Hmmm, it's almost like a limbo dance! How looooow can you goooo? lol
That "punishment cell"! LOL Now I see why they called it that - situated right across from the "suite". And those who are privileged enough to visit the suite must not talk to the prisoner in the punishment cell. Should be a no brainer. So what's the first thing Lurch does? Talks to Brumby in the punishment cell! What an Einstein. No wonder they're all in prison! LOL
Ferguson is every bit as institutionalised as the inmates she so despises. The prison is her life, the only thing in her life, so it’s only natural she went back
Just how likely is it that they would have put the "punishment cell" directly opposite the "reward flat" like that, especially since the whole point of the reward flat is to give prisoners some freedom and yet they're forbidden to talk to the punishment cell tenant. It's just asking for them to communicate when screws aren't there. Ridiculously unrealistic, lol.
Because dressing like a drag man would get you through security of a maximum security prison. A wig that's obviously a wig and shades that hide most of your face, right.
After much deliberation over 3 times through, I've decided Rita was the best of them too, loved Bea and Myra both but they have to settle for a tie for 2nd because Rita became the best of all. To me they were the only 3 true top dogs with an honorable mention going to Nora.
Marty is bloody ridiculous. A lot like Brumby. Harry's story is... Interesting. The blind crim is very interesting indeed. So The Freak is back ... the beginning of the end.
... off topic but funny how the people who slag off people's looks or appearance don't seem very keen on showing off their own mugshots on their profile pics... Just a thought...
Spot on James!. Very well said my friend. I did have my pic on here but lost it when google+ came along and I would like my pic back up there but I have no idea how to change it??. I can change it to my google+ account one and that has my original pic, but sadly not my original username of LUCAX651. Any help or ideas to get it back or change it would be greatly appreciated. Take care matey , Luca :-) x
Jamesjamsi I Might say the odd word myself, but only from a viewers type of view as it is made to come across. I don't have a mugshot, myself, but I don't even on facebook. I have never taken a selfie, and I don't copy everyone else. There is nothing wrong with my looks- I have never been slated about it, and I've been called nice things about the way I look a lot. Not every person who can't help finding someone else unattractive and comments on it is unattractive themselves. And that's the truth. If I was unattractive, I would gladly admit it- and to myself, I think I am unattractive. And if I thought I was attractive I'm sure I would admit it. Basically, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Think about that. Lots of love and good luck to you xx
Some with a low opinion of themselves tend to pull others down. It is that simple. Think about one example from this very show. Doreen ? However, while you do have a point, it is not always the case online, as there are plenty of reasons why people do not use a photo of themselves . You also have the polarity whereby some love themselves and genuinely think they are beautiful (In the material, worldly sense) and some of those may well use a personal photo. They also tend to pull down others, and not just for appearances. Thus, it is not necessarily a litmus Test. It has to be a common, cognitive trait before one can diagnose correctly. Best way to ascertain this would be to observe their comments regularly. ;-)
Don't assume. I hate having my photo taken. Even my family don't have many of me. Oh, by the way, there are no ugly people in my family. None of us are posers, that's all.
I like the latest group of Rita's mates Lurch really came to the fore in the last hundred or so episodes, brumby and spike are good additions as well, no more whingers, like Warren, Paterson, or the worst ever Maxine Daniels ha ha
I don't understand why Ann & the screws (great name for a band btw) don't just fight back against the no-lag rule by administering on-the-spot truth serums. They'd get all the information they need, and inmates who actually wanted to lag but were afraid of the consequences could use "they injected me with the truth serum" as an excuse. There's literally no downside.
Who else guessed it was going to be Lisa in to visit Rita? She's grown on me the longer she's been in Wentworth. (well.. and out of it now lol) But Rodney's inability to pronounce the word 'incomparable' really should be made into a standing joke. Lisa could tell the girls, and they all slip the word into conversation whenever they can.
shoulder strangulation has to be the worst way to go......... 23:15......meg..."she could have killed sister hall".......... the only way merle could have killed sister hall in that situation would have been if she sat on her.
This should be called endless idle threats. It has always been a show of threats but it is just getting worse. Nothing ever happens to those who are threatened.
The cassette prank would have been much better if they had rigged it up so that the tape machine and all evidence of the hook-up were hidden. It would have kept going much longer and Rodney would have gone absolutely out of his mind trying to find the source.
Merle is easily one of the most well written and portrayed characters in the whole of the PCBH run. But let's face it, she DOES belong in a secure mental institution, not a prison. Just like Crazy Cass before her. Having someone with the strength of a bull who turns on a sixpence when insulted is not a safe person to be in an environment shared with people who are likely to be doing that very thing on a regular basis. But whoever said that the penal system was run with common sense in mind eh? lol
