@@StevenBailey-xv9rn Lizzie never died upon her exit from the show, but it was just a bit of a weird fizzle out for such a feisty iconic character that was such a big presence during the past 5 years between 1979-1983
4:51 is the EXACT moment I started watching Prisoner on Granada in 1992. I was flicking around the telly one summers night and came upon this. And I’ve been a fan ever since.
Radical Rainbow It was the last time we saw Lizzie in a scene besides a few flashback sequences, as shown in this video and later on in the series, and yes, she moved in with her son, Arthur, his wife and his children. 😃
spectrumlocalb191 Sheila decided to leave after Val Lehman (Bea Smith) was forced to leave, apparently because of a new producer who didn't like Val, which she admitted in a video on RU-vid for the 40th anniversary of Prisoner on Channel 10's RU-vid channel. 😃
Sheila was a dunce. She only left the show because Val left. COWARD. She really could have stuck it out longer to the very end if she wanted to and left under someone else's false givings. It's a shame when she missed the reunion she could had had with Collette Mann who returned as Doreen a short time after this for a brief stint until the 440s episodes. UGH, what a shame.
Would have been lovely if Bea had left earlier and was still alive and paroled if she and Monica had gone to see Lizzie in Hospital with Doreen as well, and Lizzie had gone to live with Bea and Monica in Queensland, that would have been a good ending or she could have lived with Doreen in Sydney, but the ending she got was a good one, not like Bea's .
Wow all that aggression over two shows....if anything neither shows where even remotely correct...Wentworth is taking the piss out of the prison system...not one thing is how correct...I wish I was locked up in that prison as I would take the Australian justice system to the cleaners for their ill practices...if ya gonna make a show get it fucking rite
Hoyschel Silversteinberg You have anger issuse or something? I'm entitled to my opinion. It's old and Wentworth is a new re-make up to date. That's all.
***** Nothing, I'm trying to be funny with an australian accent. Didn't work. But I don't care what dude said. I just think this show is not better than Wentworth. The characters are better and cuter!
