Here’s a tip: To trick the hunter, prime a cipher and then head to another cipher. If the hunter is near the primed one (and can’t see whether or not someone is decoding it) pop it to confuse them and make them think someone is over there. Repeating this can conceal your location and let you safely decode ciphers.
Helpful tutorial! Though, I would disagree with cranking up the transmission to 46% every time you decode seeing as this slows down your own decoding process, and transmissions should be saved for endgame. I think the main reason to connect ciphers in the beginning is in order to get Prisoner's 10% decoding boost, and that transmissions should especially be used to finish ciphers or to decode ciphers that are guarded by Hunters. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your gameplay!
Agree! Im the 31th prisoner in NA/EU right now ( tomorrow badges change so im going to be like 45th ) and i dont use the 48% transmission at the begging of the match, since it’s really important to decode the 3 first ciphers as fast as u can. Usually the first kite is around 3 ciphers ( 80-120 s kite) Also, when u use the 48% transmission u lose some decoding progress, thats why it isn’t the best option to used before the first kite ends. The transmission progress is really useful with the 2 last ciphers tho! I case the first kite isnt long enough, then i use the transmission progress to help the rescuer finish his cipher fast, that way he can go rescue as fast as possible. ( but usually in griffin,if the first kite isnt at least 60s long, no one saves after half to focus on decoding)
Luca has self defense which is electrocute, you can get that when you touch a cipher then some electricity will come out so stay there to generate electrocute, You can also decode both exit gate by adjusting the knob to open the other door quickly
I came here after being SO-SO bad with Luca. The persona helped me drastically because I'm still new with this game and I'm not too sure what's the best persona to form to benefit me as a learning-prisoner main. I'll definitely keep in mind to flee from the hunter when they're nearby, I have a bad habit of thinking me electricity surges will buy me enough time. Note: They usually don't and I get chaired so soon. DX
Thank you for this, I've been using luca for a while but I couldn't figure out a good persona by myself and I was always doubting what was the best method to use the shared ciphers since I saw so many people use the 12 % percent of sharing and it's just confusing
A tip for anyone playing with prisoner (including teammates) ; please pay attention to the decoding speed of both ciphers. If the decoding progress on the other cipher aint moving or moving at the same speed as you ; you can send decoding progress to it (b aware with characters with decoding buffs or debuffs). If your decoding speed is faster, then that means the surv on the other end is sending progress,if this happens tune down the progress you are sending. This should be a habit so the existence of a prisoner wont be useless; when both ciphers send decoding progress to each other it will slow down cipher rush. Sometimes you can lower down the progress you are sending to check.
something i recommend as a luca who plays luca as everything (decoder, assist, rescuer all that) is that when making a connection try not to connect to a cipher with less progress than urs, as it wont make their cipher finish faster. and for the rescue part as luca, to make sure u get a possible perfect rescue take their hit for them! since his shock only stuns the hunter for a small bit, they can still hit the saved survivor before they can run away. hope this helps!!
Hey i have a problem can someone help me? So everytime i turn the knob to 48% my camera moves with it and it's hard to set 48% it always set as 24% or 36% can i do something about that?
Once you decode or touch a cipher, there will be electricity spreading around of your cipher. You can get electricity by staying on you cipher u touched and there's an electricity bar once you enter it
