12.47am Penzance, England Delighted to find Prisoner on a late night spot. Watch it every night. BEST SERIAL EVER. Love all the characters. It's over 40 years now, actually 45 years, and I watched it from 1979. Sad to read Frankie (Carol) passed away. We were born same year. They are all wearing well...Please keep showing it. Karen Brockman, Penzance, Cornwall, ENGLAND.
@@rosiew1952 Karen Travers is the most attractive woman in the show so far (I've reached episode 429 out of 692), although she hasn't aged quite as well as some other people in the show.
Pixie was lovely but don’t forget ’chooky’ Egbert aka mrs Kennedy in neighbours 😍😍 also a women called Linda Hartley in real life!! She was smoking hot too😜😜
Hahaha, thanks for posting! 👍I love the focus on the very early episodes here. Some nice little interviews too, especially with Carol - she seemed like she was a lovely woman.
Pixie Mason and Colleen Powell recently passed away in the last year very sad. And mum is a hundred and three and she is still alive but I guess she doesn't trouble that's why they didn't put her in the reunion but that probably would have been a big thing if she could have been there
I don't know how to edit my comment the comment was supposed to say I guess she doesn't travel well at her age and that's why they didn't they did not include her in the Big Reunion this year
It was on tv in early 00s in U.K. that’s when I seen it and fell in love with the show also me and my friends would say are you team Bea or team Frankie as a few of my friends loved Frankie I was like yeah Frankie is funny and at times did feel sorry for her but it was team Bea
I don't think we had it in Britain until a few years after it was shown in Australia. We used to talk about what we saw on the series the night before in Oxford College of FE hairdressing classes in 1987-88.
Another great favourite of mine and my mum in law in U.K. Wentworth, the updated version is not a patch on this? Frankie Doyle was my all time favourite, just like me, batty as they came?
@@shawneecherrypie4331 It's too dark and depressing. It doesn't have the mix of drama and humour and warmth and shock that the original had. I know it's not meant to be the same I just don't like what the new one offers.
Carol Burns (RIP) (Ex-Franky) was so popular that when she "died", The LGBT Pride Parade in San Francisco had a Hearse for her. I hope that they do a tribute to PCBH. Them not getting residuals isn't surprising. The Brady Bunch Cast to this day never got "Residuals" and a lot of Actors from the 1970's were in the same Boat on US TV. The Cast Members of Happy Days sued Paramount that sold The Show to CBS and they settled for a pittance. Marion Ross (Mrs. C) saw a Slot Machine in Las Vegas, NV and she noticed that Licensing Rights weren't acknowledged to her or The Cast.
I do Brady halls I love Lizzie and Bea and Bea look like my mum and it’s was great when Rita got the FREAK arrested before she died I’m 49 years old next month and Bea smith got her daughters on there
Love prisoner cell block h should have made a bit more if I was a script writer at the time I would have brought bea back for a final showdown with the freak
There was actually a series of six books that came out in Canada told the story of some of the women. Karen, Vera, Erica, Bea, Franky are the ones I had. They seemed very explicit to me at the time. My mum threw them out when I moved out.🥲
