Hi Anu: Video is nicely done. I am thinking to buy this one. For the second plate issue, Try placing the upper plate in such a way that the mold of the upper plate align with the flat part of the lower one. The problem occurs only when the molds of the upper and the lower lids align parallely. If you just rotate and make sure they don’t align, the bottom idlis would have space above from facing the flat part of the upper plate as opposed to facing g the bulgy mold from the bottom. Hope this idea works for you. This is how we prevent idlis in any type of idli maker from becoming flat.learnt it from my mom 😊.

Idly patra is very nice. I am planning to buy. The holes are very small know. So,can we make idlies without cloth ? But in Amazon now it is there without holes. I like with holes like yours. Let me see.

U can boil the water well after that u place all the idly plates with a low flame..somewhat it comes well..but its not suits for an emergency..I tried this too..

Did not buy this idli pot but I bought their multi tier steamer...and it is very good for steaming veggies ..take very less time and retains the nutrition value...and very useful for making modakams...ammini kolukatrai etc...keep sharing wonderful product reviews

Nenga use panra batter box plastic thaane! Even it is tupper ware and can also avoid that. Only my suggestion
