I appreciate your videos as I am learning a lot. Do you have a video that educates on the number or ranges of hours that makes a plane to be categorized as still new/slightly used, moderately used/ middle of lifespan, and highly used/do not buy (not sure what the correct category labels are)? If so, please point me to it. What range of hours would a plane need to get into where it would start requiring more than normal maintenance (more $ to maintain) or become an increased safety risk?
it all depends on what you need to do with the aircraft. As always say, it depends on who is asking the question. To be specific to your case I suggest we talk: fab@orvilleaviation.com
Great insights! We're contemplating buying a late model, low hour single pilot jet to fly between Florida-Kentucky-North Carolina to visit our business interests. Looking at 10-15 flight hours/week. Ownership vs Charter?
As always, a private jet is a very technical specific purchase and you need to seek professional advice. I can run a specific analysis for you but I recommend we take this conversation offline, the private jet needs to stay private: fab@orvilleaviation.com
Probly not worth buying unless you want to impress clients, also use for leisure, or have very time sensitive operations. Fees and maintenance usually make these unprofitable to own and operate for all executives. A good alternative is to split ownership with another party and divide flight time and expenses with them. Best wishes
I can't wait for the day I will call or email you then fly to meet you so that you help me get my first private jet.. You are the best adviser. Very soon I Will call you..
very possible BUT you must get the right technical & legal advice. If you do there are some good deals out there and if you are very good you can actually buy-refurb & sell and make a nice profit.
