This is a golden opportunity for states like UP, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh ets to invite all the upcoming IT industries. Hope they don't let this opportunity go.
Bro UP is already doing this.. But the harsh reality is it is not easy for a company to move their headquaters from this state to that state.. I am currently working in bangalore and believe me this place is not less than hell for me... I often tell my company to transfer me to gurgaon or noida but at the end most companies do not have sufficient fund to open a new building in another state..
If IT companies go out of bangalore, they will go to Pune/Hyderabad/Gurgaon/Noida or next will come Phillipines, malaysia and indonesia. They won't go to Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan etc.
Jobs should be distributed across the county. don’t understand the rage non-Kannada speakers have they must in-fact hope for their state governments to create job opportunities.

They might have done this to garner votes from locals, but in the process, they have divided the country! There are messages circulating on social media in Kannada that are intended to polarize this situation and widen the divide. Their motive is to lure a set of low-IQ people for votes and instill fear in them by saying the "Kannada land" has been occupied by Hindi-speaking outsiders. Some organizations like Karave, whose leaders' children are studying in England, break the English signboards and demand "Only Kannada" or "60% Kannada" language. There was also an irony where one of those people had an English tattoo on her forearms. Rahul Gandhi, who came out with a new Bharat Jodo campaign, now appears to have only been trying to lure people to get votes and nothing else. They want votes even at the cost of harming our nation.
I don't understand you people really. I'm from Kolkata. Lots of Biharis, Punjabis, Odias, Jharkhandi lives here. Biharis are especially huge in population here. But what I'm noticing is the 2nd generation migrants can speak good Bangla. Their parents who moved can speak broken Bangla but their kids are hugely invested in our culture. They listen to retro Bengali music, watch Satyajit Ray movies and some even know more than me(an ethnic Bengali) about our culture. Don't worry about all non-kannada speakers, if your culture has strength it will be victorious anyways. Promote your culture, don't impose it. People who settle there may not be Kannada speaking but their kids definitely will be.

Just show me the opportunity first...Then I will think of staying...Literally, no proper opportunities....I had went to 3 different schools from 1st to 12th class and met many people in life. Literally no one except, may be 10 students are staying back in Andhra. Everyone left the state and went some where else for the jobs or business!!

Why aren't other states building more IT parks? Why is there unrestricted migration to Bengaluru from North India? Who's going to accomodate thousands everyday into the city? What about the local population who's unemployed? This bill is actually right in its own regard because it'll represent the local population in various jobs and it will motivate other states to develop their own IT parks and generate more employment opportunities.

If you want to eliminate reservation for locals in Karnataka's private sector, then you should first remove reservations in job opportunities, education, and social welfare schemes at the central and state government levels. If this idea seems unfair, there's no reason to oppose Karnataka's reservation for Kannadigas in private sectors

@@jennyjames2673 Unfortunately in India with such a diverse culture and huge population and even in this whole world societal discrimination can never be fully resolved but extending that discrimination to economic sphere and introducing economic discrimination that too for benefit of local population for short term benefit is not justified as even in Karnataka people of all castes will be affected by this. Also caste discrimination is present in all states in sone form maybe in UP it is more because it is the most populous state. Also to stop one kind of discrimination ie. Based on caste is introducing another form of discrimination correct? If every stated decides something like this our economy would fall to ground as our country needs contribution of all states to flourish.

Think about this, If every state imposes this same rule, what would happen to someone like me, who comes from a Army background. My father served this nation and I was living with him till my 12th and I haven't lived in any state for more than 3 years. Now If state says, we should be a resident for more than 15 years, I wouldn't even stand a chance in this tough market with 50% reservation.

WTF! I was born and stay in bengaluru studied in cbsc board we do not have kannada language in many schools yet. Everyday we speak in kannada but donno to read and write in kannada. My Father came here from small village in karnataka and joined railways 40yrs bck he is retired. Now im 26 to be eligible in this job reservation i have to read and write kannada exam. Its like hammering my own toes for studing in good central school. Or stand in long general quota queue being local. It dosen't make sense.
