World-renowned actress Priyanka Chopra was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador at our 70th anniversary Children’s Takeover event. In her speech she shared some powerful thoughts on what drives her commitment to UNICEF.
Priyanka first became involved with UNICEF nearly ten years ago. She has witnessed our work for children across India and has tirelessly advocated for girls’ empowerment. +Prateik Mehta dear culture is not only the way one wears,talks,walks its beyond that.Sometimes i too feel embarassed abt the wy celebrities dressed,bt that hs bcm their mindset nd this is their culture.We live in a predefined mindset dat is our culture.Culture is an everchanging thing,its not static,it is not restricted by a country,caste or religion.We cant tell a south indian to wear dresses like north indians do.So expand ur thinking sphere. for e.g.our culture starts frm indus valley...ok...so read hw those ppl wear,eat,celebrate,.Bt c today hw we changed ourselves frm that culture.Read history....read socio nd biology.anthropology,we will get a lot to learn. btw all d bst for ur future...dear jst sprd positivity around urslf nd do gud,let othr ppl do their duties dnt criticize any1 nd u will b d most lovable prsn.
