You guys are too kind 😃❤ You already gave me so much , you have no idea. I want to support the Pod and will be heading to the Store for sure, The Bravo shorts with the Pod Logo on the back are SO SICK, I'm definitely copping some of them, On resets; Is Kins saying the dump should be moving and even strike cut BEFORE they are looked at? I got given out to for doing this before but I believe it can be very effective as sometimes you can catch the handler mark sleeping / poaching. I am a cutter though so I will defer to Kins on this 😃 For Favourite Guest IT HAS TO BE Ian French, He is Irish Ultimate Royalty and a hall of famer from my Club. Hearing his laugh brought me back to when I first started Ultimate, Runners up: Connor McHale; Hearing about American Ultimate vs European Ultimate is SO INTERESTING to me, I know the US is the highest level but I'd love to see Europe close the distance, and what we need to do to keep up with the pesky Americans 😃 Also Ben Jagt; The podcast made me really like him which was different to my original opinion from seeing him play, (I am not a fan of the blowing kisses thing though 😂) Also Grant + Rowan will always be amazing, so many good Pods :)

I haven't been a fan of cutting behind the reset on the sideline for years. It compresses the size of the throwing lane too much. Allowing the defense to collapse the space. There are numerous better options. This is soooo worth the discussion!

BTW.. Yes, Love the Nuts and Bolts of ultimate discussions. Keep those coming. You should reach out to John Sandahl of Surly Masters/GM fame. They switched to Hex before Worlds in Limerick Ireland and it worked out well for them. "Gold Medal"

Enjoyed the deep dive on resets. Always interesting to hear a strategic perspective of field position and moving the disc.

Thanks for the feedback! We’re hoping get the drone out and film some motions. Let us know if there’s anything else you’d be interested in any other topics!

Have you all considered publishing this through a podcast feed? Would be nice to receive through a podcast catcher to avoid missing eps and to download without RU-vid premium.

We have. We also publish to Spotify. Largest limitation is bandwidth and knowledge. The intern was supposed to be on it for us, but he may have quietly quit.

I’ve always liked the idea of continuing your momentum, especially catching an under on the open side and bumping it back to the handler moving upfield - what about in a play like Fury though? Whys it advantageous then for the rail cutter to catch the under fully moving towards the handlers but turn around and look for the huck?

Yeah that's a good question. You could easily argue it's a flaw of the play. Quinn sometimes talks about setting up the cut differently so that your momentum isn't completely negative. Ideally you're throwing to someone you really trust in that spot and the defender is playing off to help deep so may not be able to set a good mark. Hopefully the spacing with the rest of the cutters is good so that you have a lot of isolation space to setup continues.

@@podpractice_pod makes a lot of sense. You could see the same thing I guess with a 3-2 twist. I wonder if it would be beneficial (in a twist) to catch the under, bump it back to the handler running upfield, and the handler throws the Huck to the other cutter, instead of the person who caught the under turning and throwing it. And Frank laughs at us for not listening to him on “inverted pivots” ages ago
