Bro this type of content that you bring it's incredible! I grew up so much with your channel, but this is on another level, thank you so much... can't wait for the look recreation!! I saw "The Batman" yesterday and as soon as I went out from the cinema I checked in IMBD, and I was 100 % sure that the work was very similar to Dune and it's excatly how I was expecting. I was so shocked about how accurate was my intuition and to be honest without you I'd never be able to do it!! Again great job!

I definitely agree about it being bold, I would be in two minds through the whole color grading process thinking about it from other people's POV's.. It does have that LOG feel to it, a lot has been done to the image, but to the untrained eye it would seem that not a lot has been done. I'm all for crisp, clear images personally, but I love how ballsy they got with the grade.

This was really cool! I have come to realize that every film has it's own color life force and you are not creating, you are only letting art come out, your holding the hand of a narrative. I sincerely love this video Qazi. The Batman was dark, and I won't lie, I went to watch it in the cinema with a cinematographer friend of mine and he was blaming some things on the fault of the cinema, till we noticed it was the way it was 😅😅😅. Good to know mad men still walk amongst us 😂😂 For me, The Batman wasn't colorfully beautiful, but it was powerful, every frame had a particular powerful emotion it transmitted to us. The Batman is what I call cinema. Thank you 🙏

What I loved about seeing this in the cinema is, they made you feel as if you were Bruce Wayne. He lived during the night, and he was sensitive to any sort of bright light. He walks in to talk to Alfred in the morning and the morning sun is too much for him. I found, in the cinema, that every time there was a really bright bit of the film, I would be very sensitive to it also. It was so clever.
@theqazman

Couldn't agree more. This was the most vulnerable batman portrayal yet. In other films we knew he was human and can get hurt but we didn't believe it would happen in this one you feel scared for him.

I think it is the first batman that is actually loyal to the comic book, so the blueprint was there, they are just the first to do it. There are also alot to Korean films that have grades like the batman, but cause not mainstream they Don't get seen. Like they say " nothing is original, everything has already been done , you just try to do it differently " people get to tied to rules , scopes etc. For film, I think more people need to start breaking the rules. I personally hated the joker grade ,

The shot you call a day shot can't be because the bikes have their lights on. Also, when you say The Dark Knight has a dated grade, maybe you say it because it's different from the new look, the look of grades today. But, that being truth doesn't mean that the new look will look dated eventually while The Dark Knight will look atemporal where you can't place in a period. Finally, on the car chase scene, Greig said that he use vintage spherical Soviet lenses so he could crash and break stuff without worrying about breaking the custom glass so it's not anamorphic.
