Bought a 96 pro craft 185 dual pro Last year from the original owner that took great care of it. I paid enough for it but hopefully will last for next 10 years. Hope you got yours still

Good boat dude. Good upgrades. I have a 1989 Ples Craft with a 90HP 2 stroke mercury. Tops out at 35 mph. Atomic Slam, you ain't kidding buddy. My transom is fiberglass. Luckily. I know of a guy that was on Lake Conroe, when the motor and transom broke off completely, and dropped off into the water, and he was thrown right off the dec, and he wasn't wearing a life vest and someone was close by and the safe his life. the boat and motor sank to the bottom of lake Conroe Tx . Not sure the model boat, but the manufacturer must have been a bad company to put customers life as risk. True story, the guy i am talking about, i am friends with his son, this did really happen.

Congrats on the new to you bassboat, that will probably be the way I get back on the water in 2020, looking forward to see your upgrades!

I've got a line on a 1992 that looks very well taken care of (as far as the pics go). Someone did a lot of work/upgrades on it. My big concern with these older boats is the wooden transom. I can do a lot of work on anything in the boat itself, but fixing a rotten transom takes a specific set of skills. If you know how to do it, you can use Seacast, and make the entire hull fiberglass for under $800. But, I'd be a bit intimidated to try that. Anyway, I hope this turned out well for you.

About finished with my 98 Nitro 700LX. You said something about Nitro, I can see some similarities with mine and yours tbh. Hows it holding up? Looking at a '94 18' Pro Craft. You're right! buying a new bass boat is out of the question and fixing up these older ones are fun and way cheaper to redo.

I have a ‘90 stalker 160 that my father in law gave me but he can’t find the keys. Have no idea how I’m gonna get that throttle panel off the side of the boat to change the ignition switch out with the Phillips screws just free spinning at this point. Lol
