Initially, they just started out as a "project" collab with their song "Oh Na Na". But the problem was, the korean audience and international audience HELLA enjoyed it so much (Please react to their songs!) and so they started making comebacks consistently, until by July 19, 2017 wherein they officially promoting as a permanent group as K.A.R.D. or jusy KARD (due to the success of their previous songs and comebacks). I think they are very successful in opening up about co-ed groups. It is really amazing and I hope theyll make a comeback soon. ❤️ Their fandom is called "Hidden Kard"

honestly all the kard members are great dancers, but you gotta remember that the girls have to dance in heels and more uncomfortable clothes, so props to them honestly

Kards choreography is actually really unique. They can put feminine and masculine moves and blend them together and make them work.

Honestly, J.Seph in general, in criminally underrated. He's an amazing rapper (yet no one ever mentions him when discussing the best idol rappers), his vocals are pretty good too, and just like you've noticed, he's a great dancer as well. I'm no expert in dancing, but to me his moves are simultaneously controlled and fluid. Like, you can tell he's trying hard and he worked a lot to be as good as he is, but at the same time it looks effortless and like he's just having fun. His energy and humor also helps. When he comes back from the military and they have a comeback with all 4 members, I really hope they'll get more popular and that J.Seph in particular will get more recognition. He's way too good to be this overlooked.

Kard is popular internationally but still not that appreciated in korea bc they're co-ed. Definitely one of my faves, you should check out their mvs.

The girls Somin and Jiwoo always stand out in the dancing and are recognized normally but it’s just that they are wearing uncomfortable clothes (which is a big problem in the kpop industry)

That Guy the one you were talking about him so much is "J-Seph" his real name is Kim Taehyung (not V from BTS) 😜 and the Girl you said she's the Second Bias is "Jiwoo" she's the Maknae Then we have "BM" his real name is Big Matthew and finally there's Somin Btw J-Seph is now passing his melitary service duty 😭💜💜💜💜I hope he comes back soon And yes of course they perform and live together they're a group just like others , and also there areany other Kpop CoEd groups go check them out💜

I honestly think why they have success as a coed group is because they are fluid as a group. They all do aggressive or feminine moves really well. So they are seen as a cohesive group and not just a group that seems to have two separate units together or like it’s a collab. They also dress in a similar style.

Jseph went so hard in red moon but also he went off in all of them!! His energy is so good and I think the bomb bomb one was a good one for them all. They are all such amazing performers I hope to see them live one day!!

The thing that I like about KARD is that they take traditionally "girl" group dance and "boy" group dance and mix them together. And they all dance hard!

somin and jiwoo are doing all that in heels and i can barely walk three feet in heels

the reason why you don't see a lot of coed groups is because the korean netizens are more strict when it comes to idols and relationships and things like that. having opposite gender members in groups is a really easy cause for scandals. there have been coed groups in the past but they basically all disbanded due to these reasons and kard is one of the only two active coed groups right now (as far as i know). the other coed group is called checkmate and they just debuted at the end of last year so they're a rookie group. i think the reason why kard didn't end up disbanding like the past groups is because around 2017 kpop was becoming more international so there was a lot of support from international fans

yeah coed groups are rare but they were pretty common in the 90s. There’s about 3 coed groups now and kard is the most popular. i think you’ve watched them once before. About how they came together, they are under dsp media. dsp made one of the first coed kpop groups in the 90s and decided to try again in 2016 with kard. 3 of the members BM, J.seph, and Somin (the girl in red in the last video) had been under the company already for about 4-6 years so they were already good friends. Somin had actually debuted twice before in the groups Purrety and April but she left because the cute concept was for her. BM and J.seph were preparing to debut as a rap duo but the company threw out the idea of a coed group. Those three were the foundation but they wanted another girl to even it out. Lucky for them Jiwoo(the girl that went off in the last video) had just left her previous company FNC where she trained for 5 years and went to audition at dsp. They like her and immediately added her to the line up and let her record the demo of their first song that day. Which also happened to be BM’s birthday so he has referred to her as a birthday present before. Now almost 5 years later they are the biggest coed kpop group but they are more popular internationally than in korea. Fun fact: the girls both have the last name Jeon and were born in 1996 and the guys both have the last name Kim and were born in 1992. Hiddens(their fandom) think they were fated to debut together I hope you check them out more! I recommended the bomb bomb dance practice or their taki taki dnace practice

What is fun is that 12:38 it's both girls' part but BM is the one doing it and he is signaling Jiwoo to show him which hand goes first. You can see her putting her hand on his left shoulder in response 😊

*one thing to know about KARD is that they're extremely good performances.* They journey started in 2016 (before their official debut) with Oh Na Na and since then they've been nonstop touring the world and improving their stage skills. Their company are not too strict with them (as they are adults) so they have more freedom than other groups. Therefore, in a short time they have evolved a lot as artists, from BM producing their own songs, creating choreographies, he's part of a produce company. Somin has a youtube channel and is part of a yt creators company, Jiwoo get involved a lot in the fashion world and do a lot of editorials, J.Seph is in army right now but he also wants to act so I hope he invests in it ^^

There are several videos where the guys and girls change part in the choreography and I love it since the guys aren’t afraid to do the girls dance or part of the choreography but they are definitely a group you should check out more

Love this. Although all groups have amazing dancers, KARD is really really something else. They are all extremely good dancers with great control over their bodies and also each are so unique in their own style My fave songs from them are Gunshot, Dumb Litty and You in Me lol

Nice, been looking forward to more KARD. Yeah, there is a lot of inertia acting against coed groups still in K-Pop. The only other active coed group I'm aware of is "Checkmate". Also, recommend checking out Wheein's (of Mamamoo) new song water color that was released today.

Here’s some info on these kiddos🤟🏼 KARDs fandom name is called Hidden KARDs, Hiddens for short! We represent the ‘D’ in KARD. They had three predebut singles (Oh Nana, Don’t Recall & Rumor) before debuting on 19th June 2017 with Hola Hola. They had their first comeback with the title track You In Me in 2017. Personally my favourite album of theirs hands down. They then had their second comeback in 2018 with Ride on the Wind. They dropped their first digital single in 2019 entitled Bomb Bomb followed by a second digital single entitled Dumb Litty which was produced and written by BM (the tall member with the deep voice). BM, short for Big Matthew was from LA, he is the tallest in the group (187cm). He represents the King card, the K in KARD. He is the lead rapper, main dancer and sub vocalist for the group. He is the owner of Staydiumla which is a clothing brand he started on his own with some of his proceeds being donated to breastcancer research! He is also the leader of the Big Tiddie Committee. You don't typically see mixed groups because a concern is that people think the members will end up dating or whatever. That was a big concern with K.A.R.D in the beginning but they literally siblings especially with BM (he has no fiter and there are some of vids of him having no filter).

As far as I know, there's only 2 mixed groups: KARD and CHECKMATE. The last one is pretty recent with basic 2 songs: DRUM and YOU.

Kard's style had changed. When they just deubt their style was fresh and summer ,but after bomb bomb their style turn fresh into strong. I think maybe the West country like that stly because their fans in Western more than Korea.
