Question Carlo...how do you know what duration to put on the echo effect? Or do you always keep it on specific setting? I’m on the DDJ-400 and it has the knob that changes the effect (strength or duration) and for echo it changes the tempo of which it applies and I struggle to time it well...any tips? Thanks!
Nice Video. How about a video with the timing? That is, exactly when you do the mix. Sometimes you don't know the songs and as a beginner you are hectic and don't know exactly where to make the transition.

I have a DDJ SB2, I'm considering an update to one of these Hercules impulse 500 or DDJ400, I thought if I update to this I would be able to have access to Djuce software or Rekordbox without having to pay for Serato Dj Pro, and also looking at how professional Hercules looks. Also considering Djce not having usage among the Djs what is the future of the software and can I master my Dj skill with it. Your expertise, views, advice and recommendations, please.
Yo Carlo! great demonstration! i got a buddy and was using it with android (with djay) to try some mixes for my bigger gear, but feels laking, was just planning in getting an Ipad, can you recomend me one? can i go the plain 2021 ipad or should i go the new air one?
Good mixing. Wished the songs keymatched. Couple times where they were overlaying that maid me feel uneasy with the keys clashing. Your videos are always inspiring though and this is still a great mix I’m just being hard on ya 😉
@@djcarlo I have the DDJ 400 so I have rekordbox on my PC. I don't own a laptop but an iPad Pro. Do you think it would be worth it for occasional use and would this setup be sufficient for smaller parties (not right now of course). Thanks in advance I really enjoy your content.
@@djcarlo I never tried it that way since it had the specific iOS port on the side which does not power it. It seems to work fine for most of the things except the representation of the Neural Mix sliders not moving in the app when I turn the nobs.
Because I do believe you are quite skilled, I would like to see you make a small mix on CDJ or CDJ-style players - i.e. without the waves showing underneath each other as most pro DJs consider that cheating or "easy mode".
I wouldnt normally, but feel the need to respond to this ^^^ bullshit statement DJing isnt a computor game with easy mode and pro mode, it's playing music for people to enjoy , how the actual music gets to the speakers is really an absolute irrelevance, whether its 'just' playing a record or a CD or messing around digitally with stems and loops to be more creative , it's all about whther the listener is enjoying what they are hearing it's a bit like saying using mortar and bricks to build a wall is cheating or 'easy mode' Back in the day, we used to chisel rocks, quarry lime and build them proppa !!!! Which is very useful for me because I can mix with all the playlist that I have created over the past years. I’m trying to know if there s a way to download all my SoundCloud playlists on Recordbox directly ? It would win me so much time instead of downloading all the songs one by one. Or is there any other solution to DL many songs at the same time and not one by one ? Thanks
