ok man i gotta tell you. i just started djing this summer with a friend who is more experienced than me. i learned everything from him, till i started searching for tuts on youtube and damn. u are by far the best teacher for my needs. i love the production quality (im in aw of little details like the transaprent tracks over the set like in 0:47) and u explain everything in such a nice way. even in videos like these where u dont talk, i can fully comprehend what is popping. dude thank you so much.

How much time does pro-Dj take to prepare such kind of 6-minute set? I mean the whole process - track selection, cue points, transition ideas, training, etc.
Awesome. Great to see this being created on the DDJ800 - my no1 choice of controller. Is there anyway of getting a more thorough breakdown of how this was prepared?
@@djcarlo I'm just getting started with DJ'n. Your videos are very motivating. However I'm running into issues of finding a DDJ-400. I can afford the 800 but would that be too much of a controller for a total novice?
I got mine from my local Pioneer DJ dealership, but that was a while back, so stocks might not be in anymore! Check your local dealerships or audio shops; you never know what you could find!
Great mix. I own a DDJ-800 and I sometimes get to use CDJ's. For my money, the DDJ-800 is as capable as the 2000 and 3000 and a better setup than the CDJ-850. The CDJ range feels higher quality to use but I'm equally as comfortable on all of them.
Unfortunately, it's a dedicated controller for Rekordbox, so it doesn't normally work with Serato. There's a list of compatible hardware on Serato's website that you might find useful.

Hmmm, depends on the type restaurant, but feel the vibe, don't go too hard with the music, and read the crowd. See what keeps them entertained! I haven't done many restaurant gigs, but the ones I have usually keep the music on the quiet side.
