Nice set, great technique and great turntables 😊. Keep on great work! P. S. You are a great promoter for every piece of equipment because you get 150% out of it (its possibilities) 😅
@@djcarlo Those new decks look phenomenal! Crazy how tech has changed in the 30 years since I grabbed my first set of 1210s! On the Stanton STR8 150s now, but the new style of no needle spinning has me awed! 😍
This was sooooo dope Carlo!!! I’m looking at that S11 mixer and I know I’m going to have to hustle to get one so I can use it with my SL-DZ1200’s!!! Would love to have those crss12’s also but that mixer is sooo dope!!! Let me start praying for that mixer lol. Thanks for another gem video of yours hermano!!!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate comments like yours man; they motivate me to keep making more. And hey, practice will get you there! Just never stop the climb!
Great video, just a quick question. When dragging songs into a crate using Serato using my Mac. I use "command and A", after I've highlighted it, how do I drag it? When I put my finger back on it to drag it, it just un highlights itself
I love this. That said the pitch constantly fluctuation makes puts my ocd in the redline. I'm assuming it's part of the cost of using DVS? I use Rane 12s and they don't do that.
@@djcarlo Ah I see. Thanks for the quick response. If you have the tempos dialed in and you do a long enough blend will you still see\hear it drift? Or is it not noticeable. I'm thinking of upgrading to the Crss-12 as it would be nice to play actual vinyl records from time to time. Great content btw.
Over extremely long blends, there may be a slight drift. But that usually only happens with control vinyl and needles. Without the stylii there, the drift is far less intrusive. I'd highly recommend getting these
Hey Carlo! Good mix! So I've got my real first DJ Controller. A Hercules MP3LE. I've downloaded newer DJUCED than from the disk. But how can I get the filter that you can do with the filter knob on the controller?
Yup yup! No mixer (that I know of) has dedicated stem buttons yet, so I had to improvise hehe. Don't worry Philip, I'll always try to clear that up in the annotations in future videos
Ok cuz my I switched my roll mode to stems so I tried some stuff… if found 2 ways of making it. First activate your loop then : - Double press on « roll » to enter in « cue loop » mode and then use the parameter button < or > for 1/2x or 2x the loop Or - Double press « saved loop » to turn « auto loop » mode and the first 4 pads will change the length of the loop Thanks for sharing your creative process always very inspiring! @@djcarlo
DjCarlo, I'm starting to get the basic timing for scratches on my FLX6 but something seems off. It's like my brain keeps trying to click on instead of off, I noticed some djs have the fader reversed and I look at that and it makes sense. Iv searched in the rekordbox settings and can't find a way to reverse the crossfader. Do I have to just force myself to learn the way that seems unnatural 🤔 thanks in advance if it's possible your the one to ask.
There's no innate option to reverse the crossfader, unfortunately. There are workarounds, but it's best to check the Pioneer DJ forums for a more detailed explanation.
@@djcarlo I think I found a way like you mentioned, thank you very much for the reply though 😁👍🏻 you would think it would be such a simple thing to add to the preferences section within Rekordbox. I have to try tho it feels like I'm trying to write with the wrong hand if that makes sense!
This is pretty much the video lol. Haven't really done an in-depth review on them. So far, they feel great! Loving how they can function as both analog and DVS systems
Would you say one of the biggest jumps a DJ can make is going from 2chan to 4 chan board? Cause I've been thinking of investing into it. Would just like some personal advice on it!
Cause I do find myself wishing I had 2 more channels to work with. Especially the scene I dj for. It's mostly repeat customers and having the capability to have a loaded song on top of doing some mixes of my own via the other 3 would be a lot of fun. Just a money situation. Even if there is a situation to get a 2 chan extension somehow via ddj800
It's a big jump, but maybe not a massive one. However, going from utilizing 2 channels to really utilizing all 4 is a major jump for me. You'll need to have your brain working in overtime for that, especially with the way I do it haha
Nice mix. Can someone explain something technical to me? For example, after 1 minute the lower track is always faster and catches up with the upper track. Although both are at 124.5 bpm. This happens throughout the whole mix. In Rekordbox, this would simply run in parallel and not only fit at the marker. I've often seen this with various DJs using Serato and I can't technically explain how one synced track can catch up with another in the beatgrid.
@@djcarlo you will laugh. I've been watching your videos quite often and for a long time. It has always irritated me and when I explained it to other DJs, no one understood my astonishment. I thought I was the weird guy. Thx for the answer. Now i can sleep :)
