@@tommyparish5336openly taking about mental health in the black community is an uncommon thing, which can lead to many burying their feelings rather than express them. this person just felt good to have a representation of someone similar to him expressing himself
@@omgitzmetiya the stigma about men not opening up is real and a problem, he should not get more credit for opening up just because he is black. And that’s that.
I knew there was something different and special about Ty when he entered love island. Such an interesting character, compassionate, funny, clever, speaks his mind, there's so much depth to him.. He could do anything in this life. Well done to him speaking out about mental health too.
It takes alot for a person to be so open, honest and Frank. This interview was a real eye opener about Ty and all he's gone through in life so far. When his eyes watered it really hit home how passionate he is about football and how much it meant to him. The love Ty has for his dad and how he looks up to him is beautiful and you can see how close the Hyde family are. People need to be mindful that what you see on TV is not the person as a whole and I'm glad people are seeing the stand up guy that Ty is. Ty will go onto big things he has the drive determination and know how. Can't wait to see all the things you achieve Ty
Crazy. The system let these little boys and girls go into the jungle trying to survive with no guidance. As kids they are so vulnerable, naive, and brittle-and they need a a strong support system to boost their confidence, and skill. We need to adopt the American system, and select players into pro football when they gain admission into the university. Education is equally important.Only the most talented and skillful are exempt from this and gain straight entry into pro. A lot of young stars have been rejected with no support system in place to redress these issues. It’s mad
I thought I was going to listen for a couple minutes but the whole thing blew by so quickly, clicked through each ad too. Great listen, big up Ty! He's a one of a kind islander, different than the rest for sure and a great representative of several communities.
Ty, you're a good guy from a good family. You're so passionate about everything you put your mind to do. Your honesty and vulnerability is so refreshing. Everything you went through is just building your capacity for the great things you will achieve. Get set. It's your time and season to shine. The world is yours. Soar unapologetically
I know this was something he wanted to get off his shoulder and tell his story. I cried watching this😢. It's important for people to see the journey and hold on to a story. So proud of you Tyrique for opening up. My brother went through the same ups and downs trying to go pro in basketball in the US. Being an athlete is not an easy journey, and I hope there are more conversations about mental health, depression etc in sports. Just keep pressing on and don't give up please. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Love you
Blessings from New York, honestly rooting so much for Ty, Always knew how much of a clean hearted and genuine guy! This industry is hard but I hope the future is kind to you, one step at a time!
I respect the transparency and honest he demonstrates explaining his journey in the game and trials and tribulations I commend him open up on about his mental health we definitely need more of the segments of players telling the story In the games keep up the great ethic god blessed you 🙏❤️
This was really great. Your future is bright Ty. You learn from mistakes. You take responsibility. You’re smart, hardworking and self aware. Keep backing yourself.
What an upstanding young man you are Tyrique the love and support from your mum and dad is everything. You’ve been through so much already in your young life. Keep striving for your dreams don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t!! Go get it 🚀🚀🚀
What a frank and honest interview Tyrique. You always said you told it as it was and never lied, well that interview confirmed that. All the best in everything you do from now on in your personal life and with your music.😁
Ty is correct, I am from Manchester born and bred and we are super friendly here. Strangers just let on to you, in fact it happened today, this lovely women just started talking to me. But it happens so often. I love Ty, one of the best guys to come out of Love Island. He has a great character and also has positive screen presence. Ella is very lucky!
This was such an insightful interview. I learned a lot about what a child goes through behind the scenes at football. Also gave me a new respect for Ty even though he grew on me at LI. Well done Ty, you represent yourself extremely well. I wish all you desire comes good for you. ❤
This interview was too hard 🔥 respect to broski for doing this, my story is almost identical in terms of the ups and downs with football so this one hit different 🙏🏽 Streets needed this
I know someone like this who breathed football morning, noon, and night. From the age of 6 years old playing for his local team, Redbridge Utd. Then, I went on to play for Chelsea for years and Tottenham but didn't make it top level. He found it hard to because all he knew was football and was confident that it was going to be a dream. His mental health suffered, not knowing what to do outside of football it was a constant struggle finding a job that he would enjoy doing. There's not enough support out there for ex footballers, just someone saying it will be okay, just reassurance. Thank you, Tyrique for sharing your story.
His family system so strong, very supportive family like how his mom told him he won’t make it pro at his age now,u not there yet Ty but u will definitely get there, the world is your
Thank you for being so open with us. Can't have been easy. You are a real person not the AI characters we see on our screens daily. You will 100% succeed in life. No trying to pressure you as you can do this if you want to. I think your own podcast would be amazing. You have the personality to talk to anyone.
Someone just sent me this link and glad it's one about Ty. S/O to his parents for the support they've given him. Bro got a great girlfriend too. Ty, whatever you wanna do, mandem got your back. If it's music go hard on em; if it's RU-vid go hard whether it's challenges, pranks or whatever(Do your own spin on it creatively). It's good you shared this story. When you reach people emotionally, you end up keeping them on your journey. Vamos
This was a really good interview, great perspective into the life of a young footballer trying to make it and what it does or doesn’t take to get there
This is a valuable interview by a great storyteller I will show my 8 year old son when the tough days in his football career comes. Such a helpful and inspiring resource, well done Tyrique and the team! All the best with your journey ✨
Appreciate this convo so much! As someone who suffers from an autoimmune condition and understands the physical and mental pain, I hear and see you Ty! Your body/injuries could really keep you from living life properly. Keep pushing & winning 🙏🏽
Wow what an episode I normally don’t finish watching a full podcast in one sitting but this episode was so deep I could relate to a lot of stuff he was saying but never spoke about them feels good to know someone else feels the same way
