I totally agree with whoever said that the H.O.F. should be reserved for the pros who the story of the NFL can't be told without mentioning their contributions.

At the Grammy Awards there are several categories of music and musicians that get awards. But only a few categories of winners actually get to accept their awards and give a speech on TV. The pro football H.O.F. could keep the ceremony time constraints as it is, and still induct 50 players per year, if they wanted to. Or more. Everyone just wouldn't have an opportunity to be on TV at the ceremony. Just like at the Grammys. But at least people wouldn't have to survive sometimes decades to get their gold jackets, and the cache that comes along with it. And other deserving players wouldn't have to go through yearly disappointments after not being chosen again.

Im surprised and disappointed every year i don't see Steve Atwater on the final list

Indeed, Atwater dominated at his position two super bowls, definitely deserving. Wilbur Marshal should also be in there , Ricky Jackson is in , but in my opinion not better at the olb position than Marshall, two super bowls , a member of the mid 80’s bears perhaps the most dominant defense in a four year span. In Washington, earned another one , showing his versatility, that he could do more than play in the blitz happy 46 defense. In the eighties, after LT he was the best olb, honorable mention, Andre Tippett, Carl Banks, Otis Wilson, Freddie Joe Nunn, and Pat Swilling, these men dominated consistently, on a four to five year period

Is Jason Peters a hall of famer? Boul been playing damn near 20yrs if not 20. McNabb was QB when he came in. Played with big furry azz Jon Runyan😆
