Love seeing more regular content. Your subs are almost to 1000. Good work. Ive been around since there were 6. Todays vid was a nice mix of product shot and discussion. As far as modern tables go, it looks good. Have you tried to measure the Wow and Flutter? How heavy is the total build? The tone arm looks good. Love to see a head to head against a vintage belt drive like a properly serviced entry level technics sl-bd22 or even a Dual 506 with a new stylus. Other reviews I have watched have commented on the build quality and lack of simple features such as 33/45 rpm speed changing. Is it an AC sync motor? Must be as it seems to lack pitch control. Pitch control is a feature I can not personally overlook. Looking forward to an update vid / review next week.
Did I say oz's??? lol - I must have been thinking about adult beverages! I have tried a couple apps that do measure wow & flutter - I'll post the results of this table. Talking about belt drives and Duals, I just pulled apart a nice 1219 for service - I have a few videos to share on that one as well...As for the build on this unit, it's pretty decent as far as Pro ject tables go. You may be aware that the Debut is not the heaviest table. It's made to compete with the Rega Planars, also a lighter weight table - but, a good performer in it's own right. The Pro can switch between 33/45 on the fly. It also has a round belt to play 75's. You are right that it is missing pitch control; However, it has an electronic speed control built in to help run steady and true - a feature not typically seen in this level table. My Debut Pro has little play in vertical tonearm bearing which i cant find how to tight . I mean bearings which turns tonearm. i check the base and all parts so it is exactly losened vertical bearing issue. Have yours Pro that problem?
