Blues/Jazz isn't always my favorite genre (although I do really enjoy it), but pianists always look like they're having so much fun when they're playing a good boogie on the piano 😄
Anything I can say is only like a dog barking compared to the melodious renditions and interpretations of one the greatest songwriting team in history. I usually don't write comments but your beautiful moving performance touched me to the core, as I can see it touches you. You are a lovely complement to the Beatles. I can only hope that the two living Beatles can listen to your performance. You do them justice. Kudos
I heard these songs as they came out, went to both movies through the long lines and screams in the cinemas at every close-up on screen. I mean this: I would wait in line to hear you play, especially Jobim, you improvise and embellish everything so well, sister, it's hot!
There are times when that "like" button isn't nearly strong enough. WOW, what a performance! Being technically correct is great. And she is. But feeling the music in a way that makes the listener feel it too is a rare talent. I am touched. Thank you.
Yesterday.......I ordered my first piano. So, beginner at the age of 54. During the journey in my search for a piano and a teacher, someone adviced me that, whenever I needed inspiration, I should go to listen and look on RU-vid for it. Although I am full of inspiration at the moment I started looking on RU-vid `piano`. Well, just minutes ago I found your amazing "The Beatles Piano Best 21 songs". You really are so inspiring. Cant find the best words to tell you how much you have touched and inspired me with your music. The way you play, so much fun, hapiness, enthousiasm....just WOW! This is the feeling I hope I can find behind the piano too. I love the music and compositions of the Beatles very much. Its a part of my childhood. My older brother `raised me` with this music. I wish I will be able to play some Beatles music in the future too. If I ever need inspiration I now certainly know where to look for it! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Good luck, mate! I started to learn the piano three years ago with the age of 38 and it was the best decision of my life! :) I also love to play the Beatles on piano and listen to this beautiful channel. When you reach the medium advanced player level, I recommend The Beatles Sheet Music Collection by Hal Leonard. More than 100 Beatles songs, all in the original key, all the hits and for advanced beginners like me very important: with chord progression over the lines!
Congratulations and best wishes! Maybe it's time to unpack my Yamaha and refresh my fingers... if anything left from the age of 12... your comment was so inspiring.
As a classical pianist who listens almost exclusively to classical music with no patience for internet pseudo-pianists that go viral I just have to say: the raw talent of Sangah Noona is off the scale. The last time I admired a non-classical musician at this peak of musicianship was Larry Adler himself (whom I used to know very well in the last years of his life). Oh, and btw, I would rate her musicianship higher than that of the four geniuses who wrote the actual music, however extreme this sounds. The only drawback for me is the brightness of the piano. It is not just about the toning (which is badly needed to mellow down): she deserves all the support she can get by us viewers and someone at Steinway to appreciate the opportunity to link their name with her.
@@SangahNoona That is so good to see! You got a first rate instrument there and you made my day - I know what it must have felt like. No disrespect to your previous piano but it was obvious you can get so much more out of a better one.
Rick, I had the same thought. I was 16 when the Beatles first broke out in 1963 and lived my teens and early 20s with their music. It;s a special recognition when a very talented young woman who posted this video in August 2019 finds exquisite joy in exploring the Beatles 30 years after their final recordings as a band. All of her choices are wonderfully arranged - her start of this video with Hard Day's Night is really neat.
BEATLES... FOR EVER...!!! CONGRATULATIONS, dear Sangah ! Thank You for these Wonderful songs and for your sweet smile ! Kiss You, Adriana 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🙏🙏🙏🎩🎩🎩💐💐💐💞💞💞
Congratulations. I'm a senior citizen and I really enjoyed the Beatles. I've never seen anyone play the Beatles on the piano but, you play and with emotion, you vibrate, you make variations, but you don't miss the melody. It feels like you vibrate because you can play and play your way. I was impressed and I was infected by his music. Already added you. Keep going. God bless her. E.t: I'm in Brazil.
It's been about 9 months since I found this video. I'm still speechless at how masterfully done these songs are. So intriguing was this pianist that I had to continue to listen to all her performances, and eventually finding her performing live EVERY weekend without fail: one of the greatest pandemic finds of a lifetime. When you watch videos like this or see a lounge pianist in a hotel, you HAVE NO CLUE what personality lies behind those fingers & keys. There are more than a million reasons why all of you should be fans, not just what you see or what you hear. I'm still blown away by Sangah's skills *and most importantly*, her personality and character. You will too... once you discover them! (Those of you who know this is the Samick, imagine a re-recording of these with the SK-6!!)
Your interpretations are inspired and divine! This from an 81-years-young lover of all genres of music, especially jazz, classical and of course the Beatles. You have succeeded in creating a whole new style of music without losing the essence of the originals. And... you obviously are so happy doing it ... you've made me so very happy. Thank you, and bless you.
@@SangahNoona I have nothing to add to what Jonny wrote - his are almost 1:1 my words! And I was really amused about some ccourageous, but funny reharmonizations among some rubato-like Intros.... Listening and looking at Sangah Noona means to feel the refreshing impact of a young lady's art of playing these songs on the piano. It really inspired me: Now, by the way, I spend the double of time on my piano...Anyway: Thank you thousand times for that! Maybe it worked out so well, because you had there your very best and true friend, admiring you....
Just discovered Sangah! Looking for piano jazz as background music for work. But this isn't working because I can't stop watching her play. Just listening is great but watching her expression and movements is mesmerizing. I guess I'll have to find someone less interesting to listen to for background music!
The Beatles are right up there with the classical composers of the past,I believe that their music will still be being listened to and played by people in hundreds of years.
I NEVER comment on RU-vid things BUT,,,,,,,,I'm a vocalist and i had to listen 3 times to the LOVELY TOUCH you gave these songs. There isn't a word that describes what just happened to my ears :-) Thank you so much. Thumbs up does not do it justice. your lounge sets are fantastic as well 🙂
This is about 1000% better than I ever thought it could be. She has dived into the guts of these songs and given them a sonic transplant - completely original voicings, rhythms and emotions. Wow! As my highest compliment, it sounds a bit like what Hiromi Uehara would do if she tackled these songs. Just the bluesy right hand over jazz chording.
At first, I thought: but these aren't Beatles piano songs? Then I told myself, "let's have a go at it", and fortunately I had my hands busy at this time. So I kept doing the washes listening to you. You're a great piano player, but truly, to me it's your arrangements which deserve the most praise. You manage to breathe new life into these songs (which all of us have heard more than maybe any other else) and keep their original spirit all along the way. You not only are a superb player, you truly sound like a real Beatles fan. Thanks!
I saw this video the first time 1,5 years ago and I am still enthusiastic to watch it again and again. How every detail of the songs had been studied, analyzed and transformed to a piano version is so fascinating and exciting! And the joy and energy in the playing is so wonderful to see and hear. A superb work of art!
Simply amazing that she could conceive, compose, and play this. An incredible amount of work, inspiration, and love went into this - this is the ultimate tribute to The Beatles! I would love to see Paul and Ringo's reactions to this!
I come back to this compilation video at least a few times a month… Sangah’s Beatles covers bring a smile to my face each and every time. Best piano covers on RU-vid - period! 🎹💥👍
Your musical abilities on the piano are just marvelous. I've been a drummer for over 60 years and heard one other person that played the way you do and with such great timing. I love listening to you. Love your smile. You are truly blessed.
While your subsequent work is beautiful, I cannot imagine you ever surpassing this collection. Your summation of Beatles work leaves me breathless after MANY listens! In all honesty, it must be admitted, I am a lifelong Beatles fan.. but you honor their work so well. Hats off!
Your are an incredible pianist!! I've never seen a pianist enjoy and live so much the music she plays. An essential video for fans (like me) of the Beatles and simply jazz piano fans.
Miss Noona is a very amazing interpreter of any piece. She has the technical skill, love and passion to unfailingly bring out the mood of each. True artistry. The Beatles are smiling right along with her!!! A thousand likes and subbed.
Your arrangements and playing are just sublime. Taking already amazing songs to another level entirely. This is one of those videos you save and keep coming back to for musical sustenance. Thanks so much for sharing your art with the world.
Wow. Beautifully played. I love the embodiment of your playing - you and the piano, the music, appear to be one. Unified. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing Hey Jude.. just amazed...how you did it.. like playing in the garden full of kidsplay sometimes jumping up n down in n out but always touch your feet inside the garden
As a drummer I love how you put so much energy and expression into your interpretations of these Beatles' classics. And you capture the fun and comedy that the Beatles had when playing. Great and thanks for sharing your great talent with us.
SIMPLY AWESOME..! IT IS VERY EMOTIONAL TO HEAR YOU PLAY THE PIANO. YOU ACTUALLY PERFORM THE SONGS, NOT JUST FOLLOW SHEET MUSIC. CONGRATULATIONS, FROM LIMA-PERU !!
Sangah!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Pleez keep throwing your ray of sunshine over the world. I pray that you achieve all your dreams. Have a blessed day!!!!!!!
All I can say is absolutely stunning. I think if I ever would have 3 wishes from a genie, one of them would be playing the piano like you. And the dog listening is just adorable.
you're not only genius in music, but also genius in mood bringing! Your play, your soul, improve, your head move, tone of lightning, your dress, everything was match with the song & its lyrics! We're looking the song through you!
you are an inspiration.. I asked my friend to tune and fix my piano. been a long time, seeing and watching you play, I guess, I have to go back playing again.
Sangah. Noona Magistral, excelente, universal. Felicidades por darnos la. Oportunidad De conocerla y apreciar su talento. Felicidades. Desde xochimilco cdmx.
I can imagine Paul especially, listening to this on CD and tapping his feet and singing along. Send him a copy, you might be suprised. Brilliant interpretations from you. 👍🌹🌹🌹👍
Oh my God, Sangah, your performances give me the chills! You are extremely talented, girl! It shows in your facial expressions what a great fan of this amazing band you are, you're performing straight from your heart!
Heard you for the first time this morning. It was such a joy! Your expertise and beautiful interpretations made the old favourites so fresh and alive again. Thank you so much. Keep sharing your love through your music. All we need is love!
I really enjoyed all the piano played versions of Beatles music you played. You also show how great the Beatles songs are as well. It was remarkable how they made so many great songs in such a short time. Thank you for sharing on RU-vid. I feel like I just attended a concert and yet it was free.
Simply stunning. You clearly feel every note you play and that makes your arrangements not only wonderful to listen to but also an experience to watch! Thank you so much for sharing your gift with all of us!
🔙 ... Feb. 5/22 (12:00 pm EST) 💚 .... I was actually never much of a Beatles fan. Then I discovered you on YT. After hearing how you sprinkle your magical music dust upon their songs I enjoy them more than I could have ever imagined. Every so often I just have to return here to let myself be spellbound by your beautiful talent. May God always bless you for you are in all senses one of his most successful creations. 🌹💜
No doubt the best impression of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" I've ever heard - not being done by George Harrison, Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, and Ringo Starr. You have incredible energy and passion... and you have full command of what's possible from a piano. It was a wonderful experience listening. Thank You !
This incredible Beatles compilation video gets viewed by me at least once a week while I’m out enjoying a walk… to see that it’s now surpassed 2M views makes me very happy 😊 💕🎹 - congrats Sangah! 👍🔥
Very precise, tastefully arranged, masterful performance! Top class!! Done with love! The essence and spirit of every song is preserved and is yet presented in a new way, new colors. Brilliant performance!
What a player and what else is so amazing plays without sheet music. I'll return again when I'm in the mood. Thanks for the wonderful background music tunes.
Hi Sangah Noona!! I must say that was the most impressive improvisational arrangement and performance I've ever heard of their very first big Beatles hit song "I want to hold your Hand". Congratulations again. You always blow my mind when I watch and hear you play!!!And certainly Sir Paul McCartney would be bought to loving tears if he could hear you play his huge hit..."Yesterday""...Very impressive indeed, Miss Noona!!!Phil from New York City.
