Racing 40+ "Masters" is a different game. It's not like it used to be, no more fat guys with beer bellies reminiscing about "back in my day"...these new masters train like pros, have coaches, eat better than most, also have disposable income so they go off to training camps, have sponsors, cooks, and maybe much more, and IDGAF. I love it because I am the total opposite. I train less than 8 hours a week, eat all the things I missed when I raced pro, don't have a coach, don't have disposable income and I think this makes a perfect collision out on the course.
