I prefer the term "necro-tonal"... emphasis on the "necro" as it sounds dead af.... there may seem to be signs of life but even a corpse will move with the addition of maggots...
It's actually really refreshing to hear all those new drum sounds not just the same old toms and kicks were used to. It legit adds a lot of life to the music.
The "Oh shit, time to hit!" moment she has while playing with the chain was so pure hard core drummer. Dropped the chain and started playing. Earned my sub for her channel right there.
Jesus Jessica's a brave lass playing that sawblade with it swinging around like that 😳 in the past I've managed to accidentally cut myself playing a normal drumkit, nevermind one with bits made out of sharpened steel
The Cardinal Rule of Duct Tape and Tie-Downs: Once the object has been satisfactorily secured, one must make forceful contact with it and speak the customary utterance of, "That ain't goin' anywhere."
Some have reported better results with "That ain't goin' nowhere." However, this is contentious issue as some have reported an advent of Murphies after said utterance. Ceremonial linguistics experts posit it may be due to an inversion of the karmic load on the speaker if they ain't enough of a goddamn hick to double negative and get away with it.
The fact that these two made a semi-coherent song on these janky instruments is proof that they're both amazing artists. She's a great drummer, and you can hear it despite the literal garbage she's playing on. lol... He's great because he's playing on a jigsaw deathtrap and making it sound like primus. Major props to both.
so we just gonna ignore the fact they accidentally recreated Down with the Sickness by Disturbed at 10:31 you can’t lie it sounds so similar to it lmao
ORORORORO!!! I spend half of my day sleeping! ORORORO!!! Then I sometimes get up and tell you that I am a famous content creatorORORORORO!!! Please don't sleep while driving, dear fk
These vids give me so much confidence. Because if y'all can make good music on these things, surely I can make something half decent on like... an actual instrument.
Watching Jessica chase around that saw like she's playing whack-a-mole is one of the funniest things I've ever seen a musician have to do Okay, you need to invite her to First of October. She has exactly the chaotic energy to put up with you and Andrew's bullshit that we need
@@codesent2125 well we have two months to constantly pitch the idea on every video , WE NEED JESSSICA and NIK nocturnal and Tim from Polyphia and Mick Gordon and Courtney and Mike From Spiritbox and to wrap it all up, just feature the whole genshin impact orchestra
Rob, I was finally able to find one of your signature 8 string guitars for sale on the used market, immediately bought it! I've wanted one since 2017, and now my dream is finally coming true!
@@jojoversus1100 What small child wouldn't want to be able to say their dad is a pirate? /s in case anyone out there thinks I'm seriously advocating for eye-gouging.
"It's just the sound of it being broken," needs to be the name of the album. The first song, the intro of the guitar made me think of the intro to Sanatarium by Metallica. ...if Metallica were 5 years old and drunk. But then it's a completely Primus feel from then on. It sounds like your little brother trying to cover Primus on his Mattel guitar.
@@cypherusuh The shovel is much more playable than the Shark. It's a proper 1 string fretless, the ability to bend the "neck" really far is a cool bonus too
Honestly that’s kind of on you for not recognizing that there’s probably going to be a bit of overlap between Primus fans and Fans of the guy who literally plays a shovel. Lol
Rob, just wanted to say this ScaTaylor video series has just been a pure joy to watch and has made me laugh out loud several times which is something that has not happened in a while! Thank you!
That first song would fit right in on Les Claypool' Of Fungi and Foe. I accidentally started playing Amanitas in the background and literally didn't notice till you guys started talking.
Funny enough, I'm pretty sure they still didn't put a truss rod in it. Instead, it looks like they put a couple wood screws through the fretboard to hold it all together. Better than glue I guess?
Wow... Big props to Jessica, can't even begin to imagine what it must take to keep the rhythm while chasing that saw and getting all sorts of weird contact feedback. Props to Rob as well of course, but I don't know the first thing about guitar playing, to appreciate it.
Haha, this was amazing and props to Jessica for being such a good sport. Though, I was really afraid of the circular saw blade the entire time, that thing's sharp and swinging all over the place.
Thought someone might appreciate that I listened to this on a blown out laptop speaker, which added its own unique trashed element to this primusesque shitshow
that sawblade was very menacing, on every hit. also the triplet on e string djenting was kinda sick ngl, just needed a blast beat and a slaughterhouse in the background
