Pro-Palestinian protesters are facing the threat of suspension after refusing to break down their encampment at Columbia University. More arrests were made on campuses across the country, including the University of Texas, University Georgia and UCLA. Tom Hanson has the details.

Free speech is protected, with permits. But when it turns to advocating against others, supportung actual terrorists, blocking access, and violating the college code of conduct, then it becomes action, that is illegal. Please retake your Civics class.

Makes me wonder how this will work out for the universities. Enrollment is already really low. Now they’re kicking thousands of people off there roster… You wouldn’t think they would sign back up next semester. Maybe go to a different college, but not the same. So they layoff teachers to compensate? This could be financially devastating for the university, but the suspended students will be fine. Plenty of options for them.

I do not want the peaceful protesters to be arrested, suspended, or expelled. However, if the universities suspend, or expel the protesters, do they get their tuition back? And if so, are the universities able to return their tuition? If the universities are unable to reimburse the students, are the universities going to be able to afford that massive amount of negative publicity?
