@@IDraken1221 I liked that when criticizing, you also gave him the benefit of doubt that it could have unknown personal purpose/favoritism. I too have an ur dragon "pet deck" lol. I will dome the sub button for 10
I enjoyed this video. Nice to see se different builds for ur dragon. I use him as well, some similarities but a lot of different ones too. Not having Karrthus though, I think is a sin.
Updated Ur Dragon , Slivers , then Yuriko . My wild card pick would be an updated Kaalia . Though not gonna lie I think you should do one on all the OG Eminence commanders . Great deck tech . I love dragons so much I literally had to do 3 different decks . Esika/Ur dragon , Ramos artifact counters , and Tiamat combo .
I think the only dragon related planeswalker with a relevant effect is Sarkhan the Masterless. When you play Sarkhan, the Masterless you immediatly -3 to make a 4/4 dragon. That is weak on its own because there are a ton of busted dragons now so paying 5 for a 4/4 is agressively overcosted. HOWEVER sarkhan has his static ability, which reads weak at first but EVERY dragon you have in play deals 1 damage to EVERY creature attacking you. If you have just one other dragon out when you play Sarkhan, you now deal 2 damage to every attacking creature, and you have a 4/4 blocker. Sarkhan, the masterless is a Propaganda in disguise. But he also makes dragons. And next turn you get to attack with two 4/4 dragons (himself via the +1 and the dragon he put into play the turn before). He's secretly also a broodmate dragon. The thing about non-dragon cards in Ur-Dragon is, often times I can get the same effect of a card, but on a dragon and because it's ur-dragon, that means it costs 1 mana less to cast. I mean I COULD play, say Vandalblast. But I'd much rather play Furnace Dragon which exiles all artifacts AND I get a dragon and likely it's going to be cheaper to cast with affinity (with three treasures in play it costs 5 mana in Ur-Dragon.)
Nice 👍, Id like to see Updated Ur Dragon deck, with neon Dynasty , do we want graveyard recursion with them spirit dragon? etc. also SCION of the Ur dragon would be cool
Just found your channel. It's nice to see someone as invested into the Ur-Dragon as much as I am. Have been tinkering with my deck for a few years now. I was even comparing kiblers list to my own before I seeing this. Nice to see so many similarities in the decks. Would love to see your take on a Edgar Markov deck.
Thanks for the feedback! I just love messing around with all the ways to build the Ur Dragon. I could do Edgar it would take me a while to build something high power with real cards. I could always do a Moxfield profile is needed. What kind of budget would you be looking for?
@@IDraken1221 Yeah a Moxfield is totally fine. I'd love to see how far you could push a Edgar Markov deck. Budget is generally not an issue aside from like original dual lands. Basically the only thing I'm missing from your Ur-Dragon deck is the Gaea's cradle.
@@Vidious808 That I can do! I want to get my budget series finished as well as my sliver deck that been requested. I can put a profile up in between those or shortly after. As far as Cradle I’ve been thinking about going with a “no reserve list” rule with my decks. Good replacement could be Yavimaya, a Triome, Secluded Courtyard, Balance Ged Recovery, Otawara, or really any land you like
@@IDraken1221 Awesome! I can't wait to see what you come up with. As for reserve list I think some cards are alright but the upwards of 500 a card seems a bit much to me lol
I don´t believe Stubborn Denial is just a budget swap for mana drain. I have both and I use stubborn denial in my Ur-Dragon Deck besides Swan song because of the one mana difference. Dragons are very expensive and every singel Mana for Protection counts. In a deck like this I think a one mana counter spell is even superior to mana drain. They same may be true for Teferis Protection vs heroic intervention. But I use Teferis Protection as well, maybe it will be swapped for Everybody Lives.
As the format evolves with Stubborn Denial I def agree.i still don’t think it’s necessarily better than mana drain due to the possible heavy swing of mana but Stubborn Denial still a great card.I do think it’s hard to come close to teferis protection though but only time will tell
Commander is all about playing what you want and what is fun! It will have its challenges though being 5 color so don’t get discouraged if you have to toy with it a lot. If you have experience in other card games that can help you while building and playing this deck. The short answer is yes!
I do enjoy skyshroud claim it just ends up getting cut most of the time do to the higher budget and efficiency of spell you can cast turn 2. I have experimented with Brainstorm, I should slot it back in
@@Codence666 I’m confused as to why you would need to put cards on top of your library for Ur-Dragon triggers. His ability allows you to put any permanent card from your hand onto the battlefield.
@@Codence666 you’re good. No need to apologize, was just confused and also kinda started thinking I had been playing my Ur-Dragon deck wrong for the past 5 years lol.
So what do you think of the new temur double dragon commander? My friend plays the ur dragon but I'm starting to think this new dragon outweighs the ur dragon
I think the new Temur Dragon is amazing and will slot nicely in the Ur Dragon. Is it “better” I don’t believe so, but it’s is a great choice to play and will be very strong. It’s nice to finally have a good multi color Dragon tribal commander that 3 colors!
@@IDraken1221 my friend plays the ur dragon so I dont wamt to take that away from her im looking to build and lightning chain dragon deck with orvar being a secret commander to make coppies of the dragons that do damage like terror of the peaks
Yeah lmaooo I noticed after I posted. Luckily they were pretty self explanatory and cards I’ve gone over in other videos. I was rushing a bit trying to get this done while my kid napped 😂😂😂
I’m no judge but I believe so, yes. It uses the verbiage “play” so you can also play lands with his ability. Nonetheless play refers to cast if it’s a spell.
