When we watched it before it was obvious. You saved him from possibly getting really hurt and the driver is always responsible for control of the car.

Glad nobody got hurt! Trailing at those speeds with out a clear line of sight where the car in front is located is insane! Usually can get away with trailing kind of close but once dust gets in the way I'm ok with falling behind to let the dust settle down some between cars

How was he at fault he was just following you not knowing you were gonna stop mid trail. No chase lights so how was he suppose to know you stopped??

Frankie, there is no fault or blame for making a split second decision trying to look out for your buddy. If you hadn't stopped, he probably would have been traveling much faster and likely been in worse shape. With that likely alternative outcome, you would probably be feeling a lot worse than you do now. Really the only thing to take away is what you already said. Pull to the side and maybe he would see you and slow. Also, it is a great example of the importance of chase lights.
