Your camera guy need to get a gimbal asap your videos are really interesting and informative but the poor video production really boring me to skip through most of it. Also tell him to put a little bit more effort into colour grading. I’m not hating I just really like your stuff It’s sad to see wasted potential
Congratulations to you and the Mrs on the baby! Hope you guys have an uneventful and quick delivery. Stack up on the sleep, buddy, Cuz next 2 years gonna be wiiiiiild
Hi Josh, I did a track day weekend at Barber in about ‘08, and I realized I forgot the key when we arrived Friday evening. I put up the tent, and tucked the wife and 2 or 3 kids in, and drove the 3.5 hours back to my house in TN for the key, then 3.5 back to Barber, arriving back at the track around 4 or 5am.
@@joshherrin I’m having that EXACT mini-debate with my wife! I mostly just run back roads with it and go home, or take it to the track, but we still want to be able to take it out to a restaurant from time to time and have it be there when we get out! 🤣 Decisions decisions…
@@joshherrin I bought an RFID CONVERSION. Had the chip sewn into my glove. Won't start unless I'm within 6 feet of the bike. Sickest thing I've ever had custom made. Reasonable price by the guy no less. Hit me up if you want his contact info
Josh whats up, ay I remember you reppin #46 and Greg White asking you why during the SPEED channel days.. years ago, bro you were a kid living the dream then, good to see your still doing your thing .. SALUTE be safe out there bro
Bro...been the with the Key thing. One Friday night after work I drove 5 1/2hrs from Sacramento to SoCal, with the intent to ride ACH. Almost got to my brothers house (20mins away) and realized I forgot my key to my R1. So fkn hot. I called him pissed, and told him I was turning around and I did. Still pissed!!! Also, should have shown more of the teaching session. Most of us are here to watch you ride, so watching you help someone else ride would have been nice.
I think the Left turn is more better than Right turns is we R on the top side of the equator &I'm left handed ...in Australian thr water runs around to toilet the opposite!!!! you a great rider and love to watch you perform!!!!!!
Josh, I'm left handed. Things i noticed during my 34 years of service in this planet: 1) High speed cornering entry and exit, i prefer left while i have my fingers relaxed on the throttle grip, slow corners or fast turn in after heavy brakes, i prefer right! 2) I kick the soccer ball with my left while i tackle with my right. 3) I shoot the basketball with my right hand. 4) In the army, i had the rifle on my right shoulder aiming with my right eye. Left one had huge degree of near-sightedness! 5) I write best with my left hand, but sometimes, when Im not in a hurry and my pen is on the right, I can use my right hand, with a decent result! 6) Left hand hook is what i prefer for accuracy, but right after that right direct from what i've been told feels more powerful... Go figure .... !!🤣
Hey that sock trick works...listening at the 9 minute point..finally got some track time but instruction is proving elusive...regardless going to be a learning day...my chances of racing are small I just wanna be a better aport rider..started a little late. Pretty much like skydiving..100 percent concentration required in my experience.
That whole going to the left thing is apparently something to do with the nature of our hearts...i.e. the blood flow direction. Also something psychological about protecting your writing hand...and then there's the fact that the throttle is on the right....
Probably not a great idea to load bike that way… but the 2x4 was a great idea. 🤟 Giving the hats out while asking what Arai first made was great too. Clever. 👍 Congrats on the baby, guys! That tiny jersey rocks!
Congrats on the baby! love the tiny outfit that's so cool you're going to love being a dad! so long sleep lol please keep the content rolling loved the whole video!
Long time haven't seen vid in awhile. Looks like you got back to the team you will do best on!!! Congrats!! Now your finally wearing an Aria!!! About time brother. Oh on the left vs right corner thing, it's because of the angle one uses to hold the throttle. Switch the throttle to left and magically you will like right turns better than lefties after about an hour. It takes that long for your head to re-wire itself. I learned that from one of my race coaches that had bikes set up that way to help racers like us that just can't get past that point and must fix that internal problem. Very much a cool thing as soon as you do say a track day with the throttle on the wrong side just about everyone fixes their issues with right handers. Try it, but trust me leave your ego at the door because its a humbling experiences . You will spend the morning slow as crap. After lunch your brain kinda gets the message and fixes it. Once you switch back it stays with you from then on. Good luck Casperi
Ya I said the same thing to the instructor. He said yes there the lucky few or aliens or both. Shrug, what i do know is that class fixed 30 plus racers issue with righties. I don't know of any one that teaches this now hence the reason I suggested you have it setup done for you then do a track day. I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't know it works. I wouldn't waste your time otherwise But regardless you do you. Its a mind thing just like track newbies that can't get their knee down. That 35 degree angle is a brain and inner ear thing, once they break through that mind block boom their on the knee. For most thats enough and their happy. Us racers always push to find a way to get faster/smoother / calmer etc. This is just another tool in your bag. Anyway I'm just massively pumped your back with the right team/owner and bike. Take care brother!!
Watching from the Netherlands love the channel love to see some USA tracks i live 15 minutes from TT-Assen (MotoGP track) and after watching some of your vids im thinking about riding on some trackdays on Assen On the Fireblade Also never heard of Bell before seeing your channel although they make some nice helmets
Great little video buy the way Josh ,never watch a bad one of yours, you got this tube stuff down bro,bro you ever thought of building a bike and going CycleDraging ,I know your super busy, but that would be a sick series to watch 😎
I'm surprised your not a 100k subs already !! That was an awesome episode man, That the kinda content I like to see. Sick Baby Replica, tell um to make me one too 😂🤣😂
And arai helmet company made sewing machines, thanks for the protip Josh my leather is going so much easier now, who would have thought that sucks would help so much. :-)
i feel more comfortable turning to the left. I think it originated from skateboarding where I prefer to have my right foot forward (goofy footed). so turning left always had an "inside" feel to it and turning right feels more "outside". step on a skateboard and see what you find :O
i always feel better turning left too, if you guys were talking about motorcycles...for me i think its because i know my hand is on the throttle grip leaning into the right more so then the left, or it could just be overthinking and i get nervous...lol
I live in Bakersfield is love to come watch some practice at button willow next time you go There is a dope road out by the track I love to rip would love to see your lines on it
The reason I think right hands people prefer left turns and left handed people prefer right turns is because we are use to more pressure on the dominant arm and therefore are more comfortable with turns applying more pressure on our dominant hand either that or I just thought about a stupid theory for 20 mins on the toilet
It happens and when it does it sux....I once went deer hunting and I load up the night before, 4 wheeler, clothes, gear ect.....hunting spot is 1 hour away. 1 day when I got there I forgot to get my rifle and left it at home.
A page out of my book. I blame my advanced middle age. And your excuse is? And yes really noticed turning left is easier with the bike especially. And congratulations!
I did that once going to Jennings. Fortunately ... I guess... I had a ratty old carbed GSXR750 and was able to rekey it to fit someone elses spare key.
That sucked about the key. If you don’t go keyless you gotta figure out a hiding place that will for sure be going to the track when you go. Awesome video and you’ll be at 50k subs by your next video congratulations
Maybe clear sight of view of your car and any object near it. Right hand turns guessing distance of curb or during parking the car next to you. Line up your rear wheel with your estimated line of sight. On a motorcycle right turns most of the exhausts are on that side and that’s the 500-1000 range of a scraping of the beautiful exhaust which equals sadness. That’s my guess of right turns and left turns.
@@joshherrin my pleasure josh We’re in covid lockdown here in oz it’s maddness But There is no one on the roads Its great for getting out on the mountain on R1 Ps on the dirt bike I’m faster on a left hand corner Being able to cover rear brake ?? Not sure on a road bike much prefer right handers. And on a push bike I prefer to go down hill 😁 Ps ever thought of the Isle of Man ????? 😱
@@joshherrin we use to run Road Atlanta counter clockwise back when we had the dip on the back stretch. Almost all lefties. I'm pretty sure you would have love it. Very intense but a blast.
In my opinion determining which direction a track is going you look at it like a clock. Lol. If you’re going around it to the left, it’s counter clockwise. 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
Brooooo it’s a clear no no ,them door will fly open quicker than you can say omfg me bikes just flew out the back doors ,it’s similar to holding on to your parachute and jumping out at 15.000 feet with one hand and saying you think I will be able to hold on when it deploys ,not worth the risk bro lol
